The hosts were super responsive and checked in to make sure we were okay with getting in and out, which we appreciated. The place was beautiful in a serene location, and would definitely recommend this place and hope to return! We loved how close the black sand beach was as well.

WOW! This is hands down the BEST Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at! I booked this place having never visited this end of the island before and I couldn’t have been more impressed. Howard met us at check in and showed us the property and created the ambiance with candles and a fire pit going. His place was beautiful, peaceful and serene. The property is adorned with beautiful trees, flowers and fruit. Howard gave us wonderful recommendations and we even joined him and his friends at Uncle Robert’s for the weekly Wednesday night party! Howard is accommodating, warm, friendly and kind. The home is very private and the outdoor shower and bathtub were absolutely perfect! I feel like I’ve found a lifetime friend in Howard and look forward to visiting him again! Thank you so much for everything!!

We stayed 4 days here with extended family in the smaller home on the same property and it was great. The kitchen was well stocked, there was plenty of space for our family of 5 (larger group was 10 total) to spread out. The best part was the beach across the road with good snorkeling (stronger currents so be careful) and lagoon with turtles. Plenty of outdoor gear to borrow- SUP, kayaks, small boogie boards, water shoes and snorkel/fins. Would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I were celebrating 25 yrs of marriage and brought our two boys in their 20s, one with girlfriend in tow. Plenty of room, private enough on the lava coast. Walmart and Foodland weren't far away. Volcano access within the hour. Great location.

Absolutely beautiful place and location!!! Really can’t beat that view or her gorgeous place! Quick to reach out with recommendations or answer any questions we had. She would reach out if she saw anything jumping on the water as well! This place was perfect and was even nicer than the resort we stayed in on the other side of the island. Needless to say, we missed her place as soon as we left!

I was there with my boyfriend for the week. The location was great! Within walking distance g distance to great restaurants and the best farmers market I’ve ever been to. The views are absolutely stunning. Watching the sunrise in the morning was so beautiful. We felt right at home. I would definitely stay there again! Thank you so much Carla and Joe! Beautiful home and wonderful host. We had everything we needed or could ask for. Mari was a perfect host answering any questions, providing many local recommendations and even met us at checkin to show us her home. The view was magnificent, opening the doors in the morning and sipping on coffee on the deck watching the sun rise was my daily ritual. It was a nice surprise to have chairs and snorkeling equipment available to us. Grocery and Walmart minutes away for quick pickup items. The must see sights were just 10-20 minutes away. We visited the caves, snorkeling in the bay, national park and the gardens.

Suzie and her husband were wonderful hosts during our stay. Their AirBNB is such an amazing place! Tucked into a quiet neighborhood, this “private resort” has the cutest little bedroom and kitchenette area full of charm and a unique style. The pool and surrounding space is well-maintained and as beautiful as the pictures. The hot tub is a great place to watch the stars with even more privacy as the tall areca palms separate you from the rest of the property. We can’t wait to visit again someday!

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The home was beautifully furnished, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night's sleep. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to cook, and the location was stunning, just a short walk to the beach. Having access to the pool was a great bonus, and the host was so accommodating and responsive, making sure we had everything we needed. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I also want to mention that everything looked exactly like the photos—there was no misleading advertising, as I saw in the previous review . The furniture, decor, and overall aesthetic were exactly as pictured, which made our stay even better. Highly recommend.

I have stayed in a lot of Airbnb accommodations. This condo is the best. It it's perfect for one or two people it they aren't sharing beds. I love sitting on the balcony and watching the waves. I have been here multiple times and I am very comfortable here. Restaurants, market, and beaches are close and easy to access. I love staying here. Thank you!

Jennifer and Chad were such kind gracious hosts for letting us stay in their beautiful property and making us feel like cherished guests. It feels like a 5 star hotel and more. spending time with the animals was such a welcome treat. they have hundreds of feet of private ocean front, and an incredible pool and hot tub. Would not hesitate to stay again.

The jungle house was amazing. Super peaceful, worked perfectly for our family. Very much a secluded, jungle feel. Walking distance to a pretty (clothing optional) beach. The location is very private but also a bit far from other things on the island, be sure to map out the things you want to do and how far the drives will be in advance!

Shiva's place was beautiful! A unique house, with breathtaking views. House was clean, and exactly as described, except there is no shower, just a tub. The lights were a little difficult to figure out, with remotes and such, but we managed when we arrived after dark. Shiva was very prompt with messages, and we used quite a few of her recommendations! Seemed like a very nice person. Definitely would stay here again if we visit the area again!

Truly enjoyed my stay here. It was quiet, homey with high end finishes and an incredible view, even spotted a few whales. It felt like a home away from home. David the host was warm and communicative, and gave amazing recommendations for the best local food and snorkeling spots. I will definitely be coming back for a stay in the future.

Beautiful, private neighborhood with lush green plants, trees and landscape and ocean view. Photos represent the home well. Responsive host. No AC which the description states and there is a ceiling fan in every room except the bathrooms and there is an additional floor fan in each bedroom so it cools down in the evenings with multiple screen doors/windows for ventilation. Frogs chirp at night and birds in the morning which I enjoyed. This a quiet neighborhood and the house is great for anyone who wants to feel a part of nature while staying in a lovely home. I appreciated things like yoga mats, a lantern, umbrella, beach chairs, coolers and the boogie board & access to doing laundry. We drank water from the kitchen faucet and it was fine. The Big Island is a bit of a drive to different areas of interest but that will be the case no matter where you stay if you want to see most of the island. Be aware the beach is clothing optional. On clear nights the stars were MAGICAL!

This suite is only a few minutes from town and the host is very responsive. It is very clean, well decorated, has comfortable furniture, and high ceilings. The free parking is right at your door! If needed, you have access to an excellent A/C system. It is a great value!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy and well-appointed home! The highlight was undoubtedly the stunning tropical ocean view—we even spotted whales and dolphins right from the deck! The location is fantastic, just a short walk to a breathtaking black sand beach (clothing-optional), though swimming is best for strong swimmers. The home is comfortable and has everything needed for a relaxing stay. As expected in the tropics, the environment can be a bit tough on materials, but that’s just part of the charm of being in such a beautiful, natural setting. The host communicated really well and has done a great job keeping the space welcoming and well-equipped. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway immersed in nature, this is a fantastic spot. We would absolutely stay again!

Incredible place and prime locations. Just walk across the street and you're at the beach. Walk a little to the left and you're at another beach with a huge wading pool. Kids loved snorkeling there. And, although I didn't know at the time of booking, the side and backyard is huge with lush tropical plants. Felt like we were in Costa Rica! As previous guests mentioned, the upstairs is apart from downstairs, with a separate side entrance (they are not connected). But there are no visible neighbors due to all the trees, so I don't know why other reviewers mentioned neighbors being loud. Such is not the case at all; but the beach across the street is public, so it gets crowded during the day. Felt completely safe the whole time.
