Hilo : locations de vacances avec suite privative

Great spot for folk who understand the magic that is Pahoa town - do bring earplugs as the neighboring 7-11 store has some exciting moments. I loved the interior and it was so convenient for everything around the area.

Mele gave good instructions on how to find the location. It is easiest to find for the first time during daylight. The upstairs unit was very clean and stocked with the items that we needed during the time that we were there. When there are guests in the downstairs unit, you will be able to hear them. It was easy to fall asleep especially with the multiple air conditioners to help cover the sounds of the wildlife if wanted. Note that it is on a catchment system for water so bring your own drinking water. For tourism, keep an eye on the tilt meter for the volcano (about 45 minutes). It was a relatively short drive to Hilo and we were able to effectively explore the southern and eastern side of the island with daytrips. We would stay here again.

Had a fantastic time here. Perfect spot if you like quiet and relaxation. Lots of space and amenities. Close to Hilo and the volcano. Fantastic hosts. Very helpful with lots of tips and info. Very responsive. We're particularly helpful during our arrival day due to a missed connection in Honolulu. Very much appreciated waiting up so late and info sent. Thank you. We will be back.

What a beautiful place to stay and explore the Hilo area and Volcanoes Natl. Park! Su and Steve offered us a comfortable and beautiful space, privacy, and tips for visiting the area. As long time residents they know a ton about the island and region. Fresh papaya and coffee every morning, a beautiful beach right around the corner, too. It was our first visit to the Big Island and a great place to stay!

This was a really special spot. Love the spirit and energy. It was a great place to retreat and also have community if we wanted. With Lots of great events happening on the property. I’d absolutely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at Rachel’s place. Her cheerful apartment is in a pretty neighborhood that’s within walking distance of many things to do in Hilo. There was a cool breeze at night. It was a great location for travel to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and local snorkeling beaches.

Linda's place is perfect for exploring Volcano! It is conveniently located near Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park and has parking on site for your rental car. The place is in a lush native forest area that is both quiet and peaceful. It has all the basic amenities you need to come home to after a long day out adventuring around the park and exploring the volcano.

Visited Hawaii with some friends, had a great time at Dennis’ spot. The location is perfect for Hilo, really close to downtown and rainbow falls. Also really close to the volcano! The house has everything you’ll need if you’re visiting.

We loved it and had a great time, nice clean place with pretty much everything to cook some smaller meals, nice bathroom, bedroom, and pantry. Great privacy and would love to come again!

We truly enjoyed our stay in the apartment. Very comfortable, clean and spacious and the hosts very helpful and responsive. The two balconies with an ocean view (and the amazing sound of the ocean at night), the swimming pool and hot tub were particular highlights. We also appreciated the tips on where to go and the excellent local guide to the big island - much better than our own guides! It was the perfect set up for our family of four with two teenagers. If we are ever fortunate enough to come back to Hawaii, we will book again here!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful location. So peaceful! Enjoyed the pool and wonderful amenities (we are now pour over converts), watched the sunrise over the ocean from our bed. Beautiful plant life, immaculate attention to detail throughout. Special mention to all the whales we saw from the pool deck! Got addicted to watching them, even saw mama and baby breaching 6-7 times in a row close by. Our new favorite hobby. Bring a good set of binos!!! Tons to do in the area, had a gorgeous snorkel at Richardson's with tons of fish, great clarity, and healthy coral. Waterfalls close by, good food in Hilo. Melissa was extremely responsive. Don't hesitate, this place is pure magic!

Gabriel's place was a perfect fit for my needs to have a self contained, comfortable, modern place in a safe neighborhood, in close proximity to visit woth my two boys living just down the road. I would gladly rent again, or the whole hose next time, if available. Gabriel ROCKS!

We had a wonderful stay at Stephen and Jeanne’s place. The setting is incredibly peaceful, surrounded by beautiful vegetation that makes it feel like a private retreat. The house is designed to stay cool and breezy, which made it really comfortable throughout the day. One of our favorite parts was the deep in-ground pool—perfect for cooling off and relaxing. The whole space felt inviting and well cared for, and Stephen and Jeanne were great hosts—responsive and easy to communicate with. We really enjoyed our time here its a perfect place for an East Hawaii stay!

Rachel was excellent and deserves the top ratings she gets. She communicated well and provided good travel advice. Her dogs and cats were friendly and well behaved. We enjoyed being greeted by them every morning and evening. The unit was immaculate and very well designed. It provided all of the basics a traveler would need. She provided coffee in addition to a coffee pot. The kitchen had a full-size refrigerator, a hot plate, and a microwave. There are plates, bowls, cups, glasses, utensils, pots and pans necessary if you want to cook a few of your own meals. The unit is basically one large room with separate areas for dining and kitchen. There are also a separate bathroom and front patio with chairs. Rachel supplied beach chairs and towels. Our 5 day stay here was most pleasant. The unit was spotlessly clean and well maintained. We would have rated it a 6-star experience if that rating had been available. Of the 3 Airbnb units we rented this trip in Hawaii, this one was the best.

The area was well kept very clean. Slept comfortably at night and it was very cool. The bathroom was clean had a lot of items for us if we needed. The dogs were so cute and it felt like we were right at home. Most importantly the area felt safe for our family and we will definitely look to book here again when we return to Hilo.

Eric & Joli’s “hale” (Hawaiian for house or bungalow) is what an Airbnb should be- a place where guests get a feel for the local culture and can rest & relax. Eric & Joli go above and beyond, though! They take pride & joy in their home. Eric is an expert in Hawaiian agriculture and has created a stunning and rejuvenating garden. Joli is a great interior decorator, so the inside of the house was just as impressive. Some thoughtful inclusions: a small deck with 2 perfectly placed rocking chairs where we star-gazed at night over some rum, signs detailing how to navigate the property, chilled water in the fridge, a topographical map of Kilauea (the island’s most active volcano), use of the washer & dryer at generous times, coffee & delicious fruit teas, good quality shampoo/conditioner & body wash, bidet add-on to the toilet, and many more. My husband and I absolutely loved staying here, so much so we did so again when we came back from another island. 100% recommend!!

We could not have been happier with our stay. Felecia and Clyde were responsive and kind hosts, and the unit was spotless. Clean, comfortable, and overall above and beyond our expectations. Our wonderful hosts had a basket of welcome snacks, a yoga mat, foam roller, and yoga blocks (so very appreciated!), great kitchen items, etc. We had everything we needed and more. My partner and I couldn’t stop gushing about how happy we were with this airbnb. You can tell Felecia and Clyde take pride in their home and we were so grateful to stay in their guest unit. Highly recommend!

The Laughing Gecko is exactly as advertised... a peaceful retreat in beautiful surroundings. Great hiking is nearby leading to breathtaking seascapes. Hilo is only a 30 minute drive, Kilauea is about an hour away by car, and the quaint towns of Keaau and Pahoa are both just a short drive away. The roosters may crow early in the morning but hey, this IS Hawaii, so we expected as much. The coqui frogs provided "the music of the night" which we found relaxing, but you may want to pack some earplugs if the sounds of mother nature bother you.

This host is the best host I’ve ever met! We were enjoying to stay there! It was little bit difficult to find the gate to enter but Bill send us an amazing instructions to get in. And also, they provided us super clean room and perfect guide book to visit around there. We enjoyed feeding littler fishes and playing with cat. If I have a chance to go to the big island again, literally I will choose there!!!

Property was absolutely beautiful and everything we were looking for during our stay. It was private, serene, relaxing, and comfortable. The frogs are loud at night but I personally loved it. The unit was very clean and Linda made all check in/out and location instructions very clear. I also loved how she provided local recommendations - everything I tried that she recommended was great! If I ever return to the big island, I will search for this Airbnb again!

Absolutely amazing!! If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of town for a little while.. it’s so peaceful and quiet. Everything was great. Super clean. Every amenity you could possibly imagine. We had a unique experience that doesn’t prob usually happen just so no one expects it but the hosts were so nice and when their grandkids came over to visit they invited us up to play and eat dinner which was amazing bc we have a 3yr old ourselves who was in heaven playing with friends. It was a great location to do all of the things I wanted on the east side. So much to see and do.

This was the perfect place for me on my quick trip to Hilo. It was a quick drive to downtown and I was able to Uber at night so I could enjoy some adult beverages. Jane made some great recommendations for things to do in the area and was very friendly. The room had everything I needed. Bed was really comfortable. I was concerned about being hot at night with no AC but the windows open and fan going were perfect. The kitchenette has quite a few appliances and items for light or simple cooking. I didn’t use it as I didn’t have much time in Hilo. Jane has a beautiful property and it felt so cozy. Truly a lovely time. Would return.
