It is not 5 star accommodation but it did not say it was. It was clean and things worked. Great value for a group of friends travelling. 2 night stay sitting on the deck in the evening, the view of the falls and below was great. We ate at the manor a couple of minutes' walk away and enjoyed Karoke. Second night we made dinner. What was important to us? a) 8 of us can stay together b) keeping cost down c) clean. We will come back in again on the next trip in 2026.

This home is awesome, so close to everything and has everything you need. Unfortunately, the pool heating wasn't playing ball but we were able to take advantage of the spa.

We had an amazing stay! Rodd was incredibly professional and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The house is absolutely stunning and looks exactly like the pictures. The amenities provided truly elevated the experience as we had everything we could possibly need at our fingertips. My family and I had so much fun as there's so much to do, and all of the amenities are in amazing condition. Thank you Rodd for being so accomodating! Highly recommend and would stay here again!

Great spot for a large group tucked in a peaceful setting just outside of Paihia. Nikki was extremely responsive and flexible for Check in and check out. She accommodated a late Check out for our group, which made a world of a difference as we were juggling some last minute work. The house was comfortable, spacious, and very peaceful. I especially silly appreciated the open layout and the comfortable beds. Thank you Nikki for being a great host, we will definitely stay here again!

A wonderful place to stay for views and accommodation. The technology and infrastructure were a little dated e.g window fixed mosquito nets were tatty and/or tricky to operate on a couple of windows, but this was a small price to pay for the magnificence of both the view and the scale of the accommodation itself, as everything else worked well and met/exceeded all of our needs. As a result we would definitely stay again and recommend, as it made the last week of our holiday absolutely fantastic! We loved the remoteness but easy accessibility to Russell which was beautiful, and access to our own private beach was a bonus, although a trip to Long beach, around the headland is a must, it’s an awesome place to swim! Kelly was really helpful and friendly too 😁

We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful home in Kerikeri. As a family with four children, we really appreciated the spacious layout and the thoughtful setup. The house is very well equipped — everything we needed was there, and more. It was clean, comfortable, and felt like a real home away from home. We can recommend this place without any hesitation!

We have been traveling New Zealand for 6 months and have stayed at a lot of rentals from different sources. This cottage is in our top 2 favorite places we have stayed. The cottage is close to Whangarei with beaches, restaurants and shopping. About 20 minutes to Town Basin. The cottage is private and peaceful and as pristine as the photos. The hosts are perfectly lovely people who are as attentive as needed. We loved the beautiful gardens and walking through the orchard. Or just sitting on the porch enjoying the great wildlife; lots of birds, rabbits and peacocks. One of the reason we rent homes is so we can cook. The kitchen is well appointed with more than most rentals. There are plenty of linins as well which is a nice plus. Karen and Grant have done a fantastic job appointing the cottage with everything we needed for our one week stay. They even dropped off a few avocados for us as a treat. We loved our time at this cottage and wish we could have stayed longer.

Stunning yet unique whare. Has everything you need, would recommend this as a staycation as opposed to plain accommodation - this is somewhere you want to arrive at and stay - there's no need to go anywhere else!

We had a lovely peaceful few days here to start our family adventure in New Zealand. We arrived very jet lagged but were easily able settle into the comfortable apartment and all slept well. Breakfasts were enjoyed on the deck looking at the Point and down to the water. Birds sang all day. It’s a quick drive to Russell (decent coffee and friendly at Hellhole). We stayed very local, walking a couple of easy tracks and swimming in the calm sandy bay at the bottom of the road. The highlight of the trip was heading out in the evening with Douglas to kiwi spot. Our daughters really wanted to see a kiwi in the wild and this was the reason we booked to stay here. Douglas was very generous with his time and knowledge. When kiwi eluded us we went out another time. We did, when we had just about given up hope, find a kiwi and it will be a life long memory for us all. Douglas, and his brother William who lives below were kind and responsive hosts. We thoroughly recommend!

I stayed here a few days after my wedding with my husband, 2 small children, parents and siblings. The house was amazing, especially the view of the ocean from the deck. The place was clean, nicely decorated, well stocked and Kirsty communicated really well. She even left us a card and bottle of cava to celebrate our wedding! It was private but a 3 min drive to central Russell. The driveway was steep but easily fit our 4 cars. We cannot fault our stay at all and I would definitely stay here again. We saw fantails, Tuis and weka and the garden was beautiful.

What can I say, hands down the best Airbnb service and overall experience we’ve had. The place is better than on the photos. Highlights are a quality kitchen with everything you need and beds that are really comfortable. Vicki is the best. Highly recommended.

So glad we booked here. Beautiful views and surrounding area. Quick walk down to the beach via the path. So peaceful, the sunsets were beautiful. The beds were super comfy and the house was very clean with thoughtful touches. Brett and Lyn were so nice and responsive. 10/10.

We loved our stay in the northland! We had a great time exploring the area and actually decided to cut some of our explorations short to have more time to hang out on Toni’s beautiful deck! We loved watching the sunset from the beach just a short walk away in the evenings and enjoying our coffee on the deck listening to the birds in the mornings. A beautiful home in a beautiful part of the world!

Francine’s house is located at a quiet residential area,five minutes drive to restaurants and shops. the rooms and bathrooms are specious, the deck is overlooking at a beautiful view of the forests very relaxing.Thank you Francie for your prompt response and the late check out. Francie we had a good time at your home however the stairs at the entry were challenging for my husband as he had difficulty going up and down the stairs, not suitable for people with disabilities. I should have checked that out .Highly recommend if the stairs are not an issue.
