Amazing house with 2 bath and 2 toilets and large living space Mark was so accommodating to allow our change in plans and helped us wherever he could and was there to help us check in smoothly He also came to fix our washing machine and made sure everything worked for us Just behind is two slopes but we were at beginner level so those were too steep for us Place came with children sled and snowman making scoops Place also came with 4WD and snow tires and own parking - do not recommend driving own car because Mark’s car is more suitable for Hakuba winter road conditions!!!!

We had an amazing stay at Geoff and Aki’s place! They are incredibly caring hosts who made sure our trip was comfortable and unforgettable. They provided us with all the necessary information about the area and were always ready to help with visiting local attractions. The house itself was warm and cozy, with a breathtaking view from the window. At the end of February, there was a lot of snow, and the nearby ski resort was open – we could even walk there! Getting to the house by taxi from Nagano was easy, but traveling back without a car was a bit tricky. Fortunately, Geoff was very kind and helped us with transportation when needed. We truly appreciate their hospitality and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in Nagano!

The place was super clean and comfortable. Yutaka was quick to respond and always helpful. I was skeptical about sleeping on futons, but was best sleep I’ve had in a while and down comforters were amazing. Onsen is very short walking distance around the corner and has grocery and souvenir items as well as a little restaurant inside. Also a couple other small restaurants within a minute walk. Overall, a wonderful experience.

We had an amazing time staying at Cat’s Villa. The place was well equipped with everything you need to make yourself at home. And most importantly it’s sparkling clean and cozy. Will definitely come back!

We loved our stay at Daniel’s apartment in Iwatake! Everything was as described & pictured. Pick up and drop off to station great - as was the food shop at the start. All staff friendly. The drying room was very good and something we didn’t even know was a MUST! The new Gondala was very nice and the view from the top of the mountain was stunning. The ski lift near the apt did not open when we were there even tho there was so much snow which was disappointing. Daniel always responded to questions friendly and quickly and I would recommend these apartments for skiing families. Beds and amenities were great - the washer and dryer also handy. The apts are quite a distance away from most things in Hakuba (good and bad)- it cost me $50aud round trip to go to the shops (10 mins) to get some good and there really is not many restaurants or food close by and the cheap taxi would not collect from the apts. Some other guests were noisy and could be heard through walls. Would love to come back

Excellent location and the rooms were clean and cosy. The bed was very comfortable which we were happy with as we all slept very well. There is only one shower if you don’t want to use the Onsen however we never had an issue with this or had to wait. They also accommodated our dietary requirements for breakfast 😊

I felt so lucky to have booked a room at Ado’s place. He was available at all time to assist and went above and beyond to help me after I had a bad injury on the 2nd day of my ski trip. He helped me move around, stay an extra night and also helped me get to my bus stop with all my luggage. I’d 100% stay here again knowing the service level.

We stayed at harmony house with a large group of friends for snow season. The house is perfectly located in echoland, a very short walk to every thing you need. The house stayed warm 24/7, incredible heating & heated floors throughout. We had a great stay and great experience. I’d highly recommend booking harmony house with Phil!

Staying with Shayne made our time in Hakuba so easy and so enjoyable. He was very accommodating and hospitable, offering to drive us around town and to the slopes. He also gave great recommendations for food and attractions in Hakuba, and the breakfast he cooked every morning was amazing. Location is great as well, very walkable. Overall 10/10.

We had a lovely stay at the lodge. It was perfect for our ski trip - being close to the mountains and convenient for ski rentals. The team made it easy for us throughout our stay including getting to and leaving the area. The common area was cozy and perfect to relax in during bad weather.

Beautiful stay. Yusan and his partner are excellent hosts. Room was comfy. Had the shared onsen to myself every afternoon. 10 minute walk to Kanko gondola. 20 mins walk to Akakura restaurants. It’s a tight walk between walls of snow and road. Can be dodgy. Yusan was very helpful with lifts in the van. To the lifts in the morning and dinner in the evenings. Felt very looked after 😊

Daniel’s apartment was exactly as described. It was large (larger than most accommodation in Japan) and very comfortable. The ensuites were pristine and water pressure was great. The kitchen was clean and had the basics. We very much enjoyed our stay. Daniel went above and beyond - allowing us early check in, booking us restaurant and taxis. Even printing forms for us which we greatly appreciated. A brilliant host.

We loved the log house, it was perfect for our week long family ski holiday. We enjoyed the enormous tv/sound system, the beds were very comfortable and the car was great for zooming off to the other slopes. However, the location was epic …. Perfect for skiing in/out of cortina/norikura slopes, and yet very quiet and peaceful. Mark is a wonderful host, he was on call to help us in times of need and give us tips for the day, and made life very easy with his pick up - drop off service to and from Nagano train station. We thoroughly recommend a ski holiday in Otari and a stay with Mark as your host. Arigato!

Mark was a great host. His place was in a perfect location and having access to his van made our stay that much more convenient when we needed to grab food from town.

The place is very central and walkable from all restaurants and shops it work well if you have no car however I would rather stay outside of the city if you have a car and enjoy the true Japanese experience
