Honningsvåg : locations de vacances

Wir waren dort um zum Nordkap zu fahren. Vom ersten Moment an haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war so, als würden wir Bekannte besuchen. Alles war sehr gut vorbereitet. Das Haus ist toll eingerichtet und es gibt alles für den täglichen Gebrauch. Die Lage ist wunderbar. Draußen hab es einen Schneesturm und wir haben im Haus gesessen und aus dem Fenster geschaut. Lene war für uns immer erreichbar. Insgesamt alles sehr gut und auf jeden Fall mehr als empfehlenswert.

L’accueil de Hjordis a été formidable. Tout était prêt avant midi pour notre arrivée. Même le café était prêt à couler dans la machine. On a eu également le droit de visiter l’igloo à côté ! Le lieu est exceptionnel : nous avons pu admirer nos premières vraies aurores boréales, le coin et la presqu’île étant parfaits pour cela !

We had a lovely weekend. The sauna and hot tub were great.

Nous avons adoré cette cabane perdue. En arrivant on se demande où on va atterrir et soudain, un hameau de maisons apparaît. Celle ci est située tout en haut, avec une vue magnifique (et parfaite pour les aurores). Le logement est très propre et cosy. Très pratique aussi. Bien sûr c'est une cabane, donc ce sont des toilettes sèches (mais confortables), l'eau n'est pas courante, il faut aller la chercher à côté de la maison (mais avec un bidon on tient 2 jours). Donc pour cette paix et cette tranquillité ça vaut le coup. Tor Even est venu nous chercher à notre arrivée et nous a aidé à monter nos bagages en motoneige. Les jours suivants nous avons fait la montée et descente (500-700m) à pied et cela se fait très bien car la neige est tassée par les moto neiges. L'endroit est idéalement placée entre Alta et le Cap Nord, Tor Even est très accueillant et le logement est confortable et paisible. Nous recommandons sans hésiter!

Séjour très agréable, logement conforme à notre attente et nous ne pouvons que recommander ce logement. Nous avons aussi été chanceux de pouvoir aller au cap nord sous un grand soleil. Les deux jours suivant la route pour y aller était fermée. Belles balades dans la ville et nous avons pu grimper vers la montagne derrière malgré la neige.

Renate is a very kind and helpful host. She provided great instructions to the cabin and other advice as we asked. The place is charming. Besides the living room the other spaces are small but well thought out and you have all the necessities. For me these were the most comfortable sheets I have had in Norway. We listened to music, cooked a delicious diner and even had some Northern lights. The stairs to the extra bed are not comfortable and can hurt your feet - it is best to climb them with shoes. If you have a sleeper upstairs think to close all the curtains in the living room - we had day light as early as 3 am and this was disruptive for the person upstairs. Otherwise it is perfect and the view is gorgeous. No other neighbors: just you and the lake (and Renate’s house nearby but not obstructing your view).

I arrived by cruise ship and Jakup and Nina’s place is a couple of bus stops away from the harbour. You can also choose to walk about 17 minutes there. Their place is right by the sea where you can see sea gulls and other sea birds catching fish, and it is also just a 12-15 minute walk to the town centre. The view from the house is beautiful, and I managed to see the northern lights from there. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. As public transport to and from Honningsvåg airport is quite inconvenient (there are only 1 or 2 taxis on the island, they’re difficult to get, and the nearest bus stop from the airport is about 4km from the airport), Nina very kindly offered to take me to the airport.
