The house was not in town. You have to go thru the countryside to get there. It is very peaceful. They are in a nice neighborhood that is taken care of. The house was great!! It had everything we needed and was very clean. It was a peaceful place to spend the weekend. We would stay there again if we were in the area. Joyce

We loved it all … the cozy A-frame bungalow, the peaceful outdoors, the wildlife (especially the sassy squirrels and the honking Canadian geese), the snacks, the filtered water, the decor, the labels throughout the house, the neighborhood, the canal, the hosts and their excellent communication, the country vibe yet close to the city … everything! We’ll be back!

We had a great stay at Debbie's house at Glen Rose - 4 adults and 2 kids. The house is right on the Paluxy River and there is a paved walking trail accessible just outside the house. It's a very kid-friendly house and location - you can walk less than 0.5 miles to climb the rocks at Big Rocks Park, or cross the river and walk to a playground just down the path. The town square is close - but not easily walkable with kids as there is not a sidewalk, it is better for a short and easy drive. We visited Dinosaur Valley State Park + Dinosaur World, this was a great location for our trip. Thanks to Debbie and Ciara!

My niece and I had a girl's weekend. It was the perfect place to stay. Beautiful accommodations, the water and view is spectacular. Its peaceful and quiet. The host gave great information and everything was as described. Close enough to drive to Weatherford and Fort Worth if you want to expand site seeing. Great fenced in yard for the family pups. We will come back and bring our boat next year. We felt absolutely safe, it's a gated community with a security guard. If you have ever stayed on the lake you know that you will wind through the neighborhood to get to the water properties. I have to admit the drive after the gate had me nervous in places but don't worry. You will not be disappointed. Most streets are immaculately kept as are the properties around the house. The decor is a little bit of western texas with a splash of lake. We only cooked once but everything we needed was there. There is not a single negative I can think of. I highly recommend this place.

Our family of 4 (+ our dog) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shorhaus on Lake Granbury. It was impeccably clean, the kitchen was very well provisioned and the beds were comfortable. We loved the game room and spent a lot of time playing ping pong & shuffleboard, but also really enjoyed cooking s'mores over the fire pit. It is an incredibly peaceful spot on the lake. The Canadian Geese and ducks seemed to enjoy it too! We didn't need much help, but both Mike & Christine were very quick & responsive when we had some questions. Loved it and we'd definitely go back.

My husband and I enjoyed staying in the home so much. Ginger is the best!!! The back yard was perfect for our little dogs. The location is such a peaceful area! Not only is the home cozy and homey, the neighborhood is also wonderful!!! So many nice people here! We highly recommend this home and Ginger too!!!!

A truly wonderful Airbnb. We kept saying “gosh this place is so great!” Wasn’t sure what to expect and once we walked in our immediate response was WOW! Great surroundings, peaceful place. It’s next to a nature preserve which we visited a couple of times to get a good walk in. We will be booking this place again - it was truly a gem.

We had enjoyed staying here! Our dogs love the house and backyard such a great space for fury friends! We definitely will be coming back here to stay!

This was the perfect weekend getaway for us! Restaurants, wineries, and stores close by but the house felt like you were no where near a town.

The house had everything we needed! The decor was so interesting and fun. We loved the record player, records and games. The four bedrooms and two baths were great. The weather made sitting on the patio very comfortable. The kitchen was very conducive for cooking. The drive to the square was easy and convenient. It was a great weekend. Thank you!

Brittney's home was spectacular! She is a awesome host. Lots of communication. We loved the home & it was perfect for us. We thoroughly enjoyed being on the lake. The only thing was just before we got there was a dust storm and it made it a little dirty, including the pool and hot tub. We felt bad about not being able to use it. Otherwise, we plan to use her home again in the future. Thank you.

A beautiful view of the lake any time of the day. The back deck is amazing. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The house had a great layout, and we loved the large kitchen, comfy furniture, and having onsite laundry.

I stayed in this beautiful home for 5 nights, and it was clean, well-stocked, and private. Cathy had everything decorated for Halloween; it was adorable! It was the perfect location to meet up with my mother. This host has thought of everything and is very responsive. I would recommend checking out this Airbnb if you are in the Lake Grandbury area. It was a great stay!!

The calm and serene atmosphere was perfect for unwinding, and the owners, who live nearby, were wonderfully attentive. Their kindness and care added a personal touch that made the experience even better. If you’re looking for a spot that’s close to town but feels like a hidden getaway, this is the perfect place. This was our families first time staying in an Airbnb. The house was beautiful. Our boys enjoyed the new game room add on in the garage so much. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. During our stay our 3 year old autistic twin accidentally broke a slat on the blinds while trying to look outside. When informed about the incident our host was very kind, caring and understanding which means the world to us as parents of a special needs child. We definitely recommend ChristaCarol as a host!

Really nice place. We have stayed at many Airbnb places around the world— some for a few days and others for a month like this one. This place was EXACTLY as described and had a basically full kitchen to cook with. Plenty of linens and use of the garage for our motorcycle. Just really nice. Definitely worth the price if your going to and around the Granbury area

Our family had so much fun! The home was clean and had everything that we needed for our relaxing getaway. We especially enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boat and even fished off the docks. My kids loved the bunk beds - all of the beds were so comfortable. There was no street noise, and mornings were beautiful and peaceful out on the dock. I loved the big windows which gave beautiful light inside the home. Jamie was very responsive to any questions that I had leading up to our stay and check-in was a breeze!
