Houghton County : locations de vacances avec petit déjeuner

We stayed for a ski/birthday weekend and it was perfect. Sherry was great offering suggestions on dining and weekend happenings. Watching the deer in the morning was a highlight. The nearby cottages were close but still felt secluded. We hope to return!

This was our second stay with Mike and Kimberly this year because he and Kimberly are wonderful hosts. We are frequent travelers and have stayed in several Airbnb settings. His is among the best. Not only did Mike clear the walkway and driveway of the many inches of snow that fell many days, he also gently brushed off our vehicle on snowy mornings! If you are looking for a great place to stay with a great host at a great value in a spectacular area, this is it!

Great stay in Houghton. Close to the Tech trails and easy to get downtown. Cozy and clean home. Mike is friendly, responsive, and helpful.

Beautiful location and property. The house was clean and finished like a new home. Accommodations were excellent for our group of 6. Location and views were perfect, id love to visit in summer. Host was top notch on every level. Thank you.

In town for the Great Bear Chase and stayed here for the second straight year. Everything worked out as expected. Close to town, well equipped kitchen, plenty of sleeping spaces. Nice to have sauna access. Host is easy to reach and responsive. House rules and amenities are easy to find. Would definitely stay again.

This was my first “shared space” stay. I have so many wonderful things to say about both Heidi and her lovely home. Heidi is genuine, kind and caring. She is a wonderful host and just a really nice person. Her home (although it was winter) was cozy and welcoming. Everything was very clean and fresh. My favorite part was the heated mattress pad and delicious banana bread. She chatted with my mom and I over coffee in the morning (mostly my mom because I was so cozy I slept in) she gave clear and direct instructions and checked in with us when we were out for the day. The drive is a little out of town but so easy and not much traffic, which makes the ride and the scenery very enjoyable. Definitely worth the stop. Such a gem to not only have a great place to stay but to be able to meet someone as lovely as Heidi. I can’t imagine how awesome it is here during the warmer months!! Thank you so much for your hospitality. We look forward to visiting again!

This place is very warm and cozy, and in peaceful surroundings - great view of the lake. Well stocked with plenty of amenities. Wonderful hot water and the beds were comfy. Sherry was incredibly helpful and responsive and worked to get me some local suggestions. Their local history and familial connections was a bonus. We were there in height of winter (Feb.) would be curious to see it in summer as well.

Awesome place with great amenities. Loved the Jacuzzi with the lake view. The surroundings of the house is way to awesome! Owners were super friendly and they arranged breakfast as per our special requests. I would definitely recommend this place for the stay.

Honestly, this was one of the best air b n b’s I have ever stayed in. It is so cozy, and in the most beautiful location. While the retreat is busy in the summer people are missing out by not experiencing it in the winter. We had a massage right at the retreat, the hot tub and sauna were incredible, and the wood burning fire place was so cozy. Cheryl provides an amazing breakfast and was an extremely caring and responsive host. Elevate your winter experience and come stay here, you will not be disappointed. We will be back!

We came to the Keweenaw hoping to see the Northern Lights, but we missed them by a week. However, our trip was memorable anyway, largely because of Kathy's hospitality and her knowledge of the area. The 'light breakfast' was the perfect way to start our days of exploring the history and natural beauty of the peninsula. Kathy provided a map, which was continually useful. The bed is really comfortable, the night is incredibly quiet and dark. We slept very well. It's useful to know that cell service is sparse in the area, so the roadmap is extra useful when you're out and about. And it's not a bad idea to arrive with a full tank of gas because there's not a station around every bend. (Or grocery store. Or restaurant, for that matter.) Again, this is where Kathy's expertise and local knowledge is invaluable. One thing I'd recommend: walk across the street and onto the bridge over the Eagle River and watch the water flow into Lake Superior. If you want a place to relax, this is it.

From the moment we arrived, Cheryl was lovely! Her place is very nice, clean and had all of the amenities needed for a great stay. A private B&B, on the water, and just 20 minutes from Houghton, what more could you ask for? I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area!

Cheryl is fun to visit, kind, and informative. The continental breakfast, hot tub and sauna were highlights for us. There are many extras here a large family or group could keep entertained with (instruments, blue tooth speaker, karaoke machine, roku TV, snowshoes, sleds for sledding, pool, hot tub, sauna, nature trails). Parking a truck and trailer for snowmobiling is effortless. It is a nice base camp for snowmobiling groups that will be trailering to their spot.

very reasonably priced, stayed in the 2 twin bed room for 2 nights,beds were comfortable. she cooked a great breakfast of Finnish pancakes and bacon wich was a very good meal. The house is very large with a lot of history dating back 200 years. We were able to park are snowmobiles at the house and leave from there in the morning to hit the trails which was nice.
