Houndwood : locations de vacances

This four bedroomed house was in a brilliant location and very close to the beaches, pubs and town centre. The house was over three floors which helped with spacing out the two families. There was a double bedroom on the lower floor, a double with en-suite on the first floor and then a further two king bedrooms on the second floor. There is only one parking space but we found alternative parking for the second car on the cobbled street outside. The house has plenty of space and well equipped with crockery and utensils. The bedding and towels were all clean. The WiFi wasn’t great especially with no phone signal. All in all though a Lovely home in a great location.

We have had a wonderful stay with our friends. Ages from 9-50 and we’ve all enjoyed the house and there’s so much to entertain us all! Caroline was helpful, even when we had car trouble. Would recommend this house to anyone who wants to have somewhere to enjoy their time with friends with loads to do and lots of room. The outside space is great with a park just over the wall for the kids. Can’t rate this place highly enough. Only improvement I could suggest is some gin glasses for the bar- but that’s being very picky! Thank you Caroline.

Beautiful barn. Fully equipped in every way. Spotless through out. Great location. Host extremely helpful. Had a very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend it.

Linda was a great host. The house was spotless and very spacious, as well as peaceful. We were so lucky with the weather and had a wonderful few days exploring the area. We hope to be back soon! Thank you, Linda.

All good but I have to comment the bed mattresses were a little too hard for us all.

It was our second visit, we came first in 2022, nothing had changed, the house was still fantastic, immaculately clean and very comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen. We brought my sister and her husband, they were very impressed, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We visited some lovely locations, Druridge Bay, Amble and Seaton Hall, all very local and we really enjoyed the walk on Newbiggin’s promenade and the walk north towards Lynemouth had spectacular views of the sea. We can’t wait to come back again and we have recommended to several people..

Amazing house, wonderful host and excellent location. What a great weekend

What can I say, it was perfect. The location is amazing, everything is on your doorstep, cafes, bars, restaurants, shops, with Alnwick Castle about a 3 minute walk. The accommodation was absolutely lovely, so homely and cosy but also very stylish. The bathroom is beautiful. It had everything we needed for our stay. Would absolutely recommend this if you plan on a trip to Alnwick. Kelly, the host, was great and made our stay so easy and stress free. We have just had a wonderful 4 days and will definitely be returning to stay at this accommodation again in future. Highly recommended.
