We had an excellent stay! The place was clean and well equipped, and the welcome package was a nice touch. Just a quick stroll to the beach or a few steps to the spa to get into the water. We'll be back again. Thanks Amy

1Seaview is aptly named as the view across the bay to Bruny Island is just spectacular! We arrived late at night and sat on the verandahs just really soaking up the Milky way and the starry sky. So peaceful and soothing. The house was warm and cosy and had everything we needed. We even managed to capture an aurora so we were pretty thrilled. A lovely place to visit the far southern edge of Australia.

Paul was a very responsive host and helped me out with a small car problem, plenty of local knowledge and some history of the boat shed, if you are looking for a slightly different place to stay at a reasonable price I would recommend Paul’s

Phil and Mary were very welcoming. Phil gave our grandchildren the farm experience of working a backhoe, riding a quad bike and a tour through the forest. It is a magical place, so peaceful yet only 5 minutes drive from Cygnet, which was where we needed to be on 3 of the days of our stay.

We loved staying in this beautiful cottage (situated below the main house but completely private). Everything was perfectly inviting. We arrived late and the cottage was ready for us with wine, bread, cheese and berries. The linens were top notch and the setting is private, quiet, and very beautiful. We easily could have stayed for a week. Our host Nicholas was very helpful when a small issue arose. We loved driving down to the Hastings Cave area and even all the way down to the beautiful beach at South Cape. The drive along the river when you come and go from this location is very lovely with black swans swimming and adorable local animals hopping along the road (although one must drive carefully as to not drive into them!). There is nothing that could have made this stay better. We love forward to coming back again one day to take a river cruise.

We had the most amazing month staying at Ian’s property. We have 2 kids ages 3 and 10 months old when I mentioned we needed a few things for our baby he was quick to jump and say we can supply that, saves you travelling with it. It felt like home and was so peaceful (being country people ourselves) I cannot fault anything with this beautiful little home and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience a “farm stay”. We will be back one day in the near future. Thanks again Ian for everything.

Enjoyed our stay at Getndare as a comfortable base to explore out from or stay and wind down escaping with the landscaped garden views, cosy reading/tv nook, and walking nearby. Everything we needed and wanted for and hope to visit again.

I will happily echo all of the previous praise of comfort, location, provisions, communication and friendliness. The additional extraordinariness was the sense of GENEROSITY in all of these things and the thoughtful touches. Glorious! Thank you :)
