Our stay in the design cottage was the perfect ending to our Icelandic adventures! Anthony was an incredibly wonderful host greeting us upon arrival and coming to bid us farewell before we left for the airport. It is evident how much Anthony enjoys hosting guests. We even had the opportunity to meet the family’s precious dog, Luca! Anthony gave us great suggestions for dining in the area and provided lovely personal touches to our stay. A late check-out on the day of our departure allowing us to linger in luxury just a bit longer was greatly appreciated. The home itself could not have been more ideal. The decor is beautiful and the surroundings super comfortable, a true home away from home. The heated bathroom floor, exquisite lighting, beautiful kitchenware, exceptionally comfortable beds and overall feel of hygge made this stay not only enjoyable, but also truly memorable.

Nice place to stay with plenty to see around! I worked remotely here and enjoyed the kitties daily visits on the back porch! In unit laundry was wonderful and having all the appliances I needed- kettle, microwave! Thanks for the great stay!

Home was warm and welcoming and Tara and Oskar were responsive and kind hosts.

La sistemazione e’ stata quanto di meglio potessimo aspettarci. La casa consente di ospitare 7/8 persone in un ambiente accogliente, caldo e ben arredato, con una cucina fornitissima di tutto quello che può servire. Due bei bagni con doccia molto puliti e forniti di molti asciugamani. La titolare è stata molto premurosa nel contattarci per fornirci in anticipo tutte le indicazioni utili e molti suggerimenti su quanto poteva offrire il circondario. Selfoss e’ un’ottima base per visitare la parte sud dell’Islanda e la casa e’ in una zona tranquilla, qualche kilometro fuori città, attigua ad un allevamento di cavalli, ma allo stesso tempo molto comoda a tutti i servizi utili per gli approvvigionamenti quotidiani. L’esperienza vissuta è stata eccellente.

Cozy is the right word to describe the cottage. The place is perfect to get some rest after a busy day visiting all the sites around, the view is beautiful and the interior is really comfortable. The hot tub is a very welcome plus. Alina was great answering my questions and very flexible to our needs. I would recommend if you plan to visit the golden circle and do not want to travel back to Reykjavik or want to continue to the South as we did. We couldn’t see the northern lights because it was cloudy but the cottage has views to all directions so it would be a great place for that in a clear night.

This place is great! Very cozy and close to the golden circle and Selfoss, which has great restaurants! We especially enjoyed the cozy vibe of the interior furniture and kitchen. We also really enjoyed the hot tub and cold plunge combo. Magnús was really responsive when we had questions, and even got on the phone to walk us through how to fill the hot tub and turn off the lights so we could better view the aurora!

A stay at this lovely place gives you a high-end experience, no doubt. The house is spacious, clean, well organized, has super tasteful interiors, and a hot tub as the cherry on top! I was simply left with a "wow" after check in and seeing all the small details Thorunn pays attention to. She had made sure that we would not lack a thing, and the instructions she provided us with answered litterally every questions we had during our stay. What a perfect host Thorunn is! Highly recommend✨

Our family of 5 stayed at Svavar’s apartment over New Years. It was a great location - walkable to restaurants and shops. The apartment itself was clean, spacious yet cozy and beautifully decorated - with a Christmas tree and lots of Christmas lights which made it feel festive. There were plenty of closet/drawer space for our belongings. We also appreciated the off-street parking. Svavar was a great host - always responsive and offering helpful suggestions. We cannot wait to return!

A beautiful apartment that looks just like the photos! Comfy beds, spacious living room, well-stocked and modern kitchen. And super close to the downtown, many parks, and coastline. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Dísa's accomodation was outstanding. It was everything we could have asked for and more. We wanted something remote so we had more chances of seeing the aurora and we were amazed how stunning it was at the property - better than the tour we went on! There were some lovely walks we could take from the front door - just make sure you dress for the weather! Her dog Bonzo even joined us for the hikes and he was a lovely companion showing us the way. Dísa even came and gave us some eggs freshly laid on the farm that morning! The property was clean, spacious and well equipped. There are some local activities that Dísa recommended and can get some discounts on. We opted for a lovely natural hot springs which was just the ticket to soak in the thermal rock pools with the snowy mountains in the backdrop. Thank you again for an amazing stay. A truly unforgettable visit to Iceland!

Asa is a fantastic host, flexible with check in when I arrived early. Very responsive whenever I had a question. I was able to park in the garden which was very helpful. The location is close to downtown and main attractions but in the quieter part of town. The flat is well supplied with amenities and very clean. Highly recommend.

Apartamento muy amplio y cómodo. Baño enorme. Cocina bien y muchos utensilios de cocina. Limpieza regular, necesita algo de limpieza en profundidad.

Siggi was very friendly and helpful for our trip. The car he provided was very useful and reliable. The place was quite, clean, and warm just like home.

Eva’s home was very nice and she was very responsive with us when giving us directions!

Felt like staying in a friends house. Very comfortable, big (bigger than it looks in the pictures), fully furnished, great kitchen, a perfect place for our family of four. This place is perfect. A perfect spot to do things in Reykjavik and the Golden Circle. Hope we can come again to Iceland and hope can stay again here.

La cabaña de Kristinn ha sido sin duda alguna una de las perlas de nuestro viaje a Islandia. Una zona con mucha privacidad y en medio de la naturaleza, cerca de varios puntos de interés y de la ciudad de Selfoss. Lo hemos pasado en grande, habiendo ido con un bebé de 15 meses todo ha sido perfecto. Inolvidable la sensación de estar en nuestro jacuzzi mientras nevaba, repetiremos sin duda.

Heerlijk verblijf gehad en genoten van de mooie omgeving! Daarnaast helpt de host je altijd snel met vragen en was alles aanwezig in het huisje om je dagen door te komen. De basis artikelen waren al aanwezig en het huisje is heerlijk. De slaapkamer bovenin in de kruipruimte was wel erg smal. Kom je dus met 4 personen hou er dan rekening mee dat het vrij smal is en even klimmen om bij deze slaapruimte te komen. Bereik was daarnaast ook slecht in het huisje en geen wifi. Al deze punten waren voor ons geen probleem en hebben enorm genoten en zouden het zeker iedereen aanraden!

This is a beautiful house in a serene location. Hjalmar is a great host. Welcome drinks on our arrival made us feel we were in for a special stay. Highly recommended this place. All the things you need for a great stay. Remember to bring food to BBQ or roast. The nearest supermarket is 30 minutes away. If you are looking for that special getaway, this is it!

Unnar’s house was a great place to stay as we were going around the Golden Circle, good home base for day trips to Gullfoss with several good restaurants within 15min (Fridheimar, etc). The cabin is cozy and clean and we appreciated having a washer/dryer that we could use (just a note that the drying time is a little long, about 4 hours if I recall correctly, so just plan accordingly). Unfortunately it was quite rainy during our stay so we didn’t end up using the hot tub nor did we see northern lights but we enjoyed our stay nonetheless.

We stayed at this place for two nights ( 3 adults and 1 kid). It is very well equipped, you'll find everything you need for grilling or regular cooking. Views are breathtaking, and if you're lucky with the weather you can just chill outside and enjoy the fresh air. Hosts were very friendly and quickly answered all our questions. Instructions are perfect. One thing to note - if you use google maps, don't put the address there, use the coordinates. Address is correct, but google maps directs you to wrong location ( though, not far from correct place ).

Was spending a few days away celebrating my wife’s 50th and Elin’s cabin did not disappoint. The cabin is beautiful and well stocked , kept very clean and clear instructions. Very peaceful with beautiful surroundings. Elín was very attentive and got in touch during our stay to make sure everything was ok. Would highly recommend this cabin, very impressive. Thanks for letting us stay.

Sígrun’s place was exactly what we were looking for! We had the best welcome ever being greeted by the northern lights. The house is well equipped with everything you need. From kitchen appliances to toiletries. And the hot tub outside, is an excellent place to relax. Location is perfect. Very nice and quiet and also close to all the main attractions of the golden circle. Our farewell was also memorable with northern lights dancing for us! Some places we’d like to recommend: Sky Lagoon, Thingvellir National park (20 min drive from the house, bring good shoes, can be very slippery). Tryggvaskali restaurant, Messinn restaurant, Silfra restaurant. And of course all the other attractions around the golden circle. Thank you, Sigrún, hope to be back soon!
