George and his wife seem to truly enjoy their roles as hosts. If you are the kind of traveler who appreciates a personal connection to the people you are staying with, then this place for you. We also received the deluxe service that many reviewers here comment on - mule delivery of our luggage up the hill, various beverages, pastries, bread, and, above all, water(!) waiting for us at the space when we arrived. Seeing as you are not supposed to drink the tap water in many places in Greece, having a good supply of bottled water on hand (and not having to lug it up the hill) was a great help to us. It is about a 10 to 12 minute hike up (and six or seven back going down) but the location at the top of the town is worth it, especially if you visit Hydra during the summer with the high volume of tourists, for both the peaceful atmosphere and the views on both sides of ocean and hills . Spotlessly clean and cozy apartment on two levels. Highly recommended.

La casa è perfetta. Raggiungerla non è difficile perché Katerina fornisce indicazioni precisissime. Sì , bisogna salire qualche gradino, ma non è eccessivamente faticoso e poi qualsiasi spostamento sull'isola comporta salite e gradini! Ed è a 10 minuti dal porto, forse meno. L'ambiente corrisponde alla descrizione e alle foto. In cucina c'è l'essenziale per cucinare e in bagno ci sono sapone, shampoo e bagno schiuma. Il terrazzo è condiviso con un altro appartamento, ma c'è spazio in abbondanza. Katerina è estremamente disponibile ed ogni volta che abbiamo avuto bisogno ci ha risposto immediatamente e si è prodigata per risolvere qualsiasi problema! Lo consiglierei a chiunque

A hidden gem right by the sea. The property of Georgios is very unique and beautiful, The old olive trees in the big garden are very special. The terrace was amazing to just sit on and watch the Ocean. The close by beach and Tavern make it perfect! We loved this place to start off our Greece Vacation. Georgios is also very nice and easy in contact- we arrived very late, no problem for him. Thank you!

We had wonderful days in hydra, and Semely’s Airbnb was the perfect accommodation on the island. It’s small and simple, but has everything you need for a good sleep, to prepare a small meal and have breakfast with a great harbor view. Semely is very communicative and helps with every question that might come up.

We booked a room at Villa Vanessa on behalf of a friend who was visiting Greece for the first time for our baby's baptism. The room was spacious, spotless, comfortable, and steps from the sea. The sunrise on the beach outside cannot be beat! Vanessa and Eleni were so welcoming and friendly, offering fresh fruit and Greek coffee. We highly recommend Villa Vanessa if visiting the area. Kalloni is a peaceful village, perfectly situated between Poros and Epidavros.

The hosts were very helpful and arranged a donkey to taxi our luggage to the apartment. After that, they gave us complete peace and freedom, popping by only to give us a basket of homemade desserts! The apartment has everything you need + a comfortable bed. The best feature is the breathtaking terrace with a view over the valleys of Idra. On the terrace, they have a table for having a romantic dinner and comfy double daybed to lay on and watch the sunset + do some stargazing. The view was so beautiful, that my boyfriend chose this terrace to propose to me! This is a special place that we will never forget!

Lovely Airbnb with a gorgeous view over Hydra, right to the ocean. We loved staying here and spending time on the patio. We got some great recommendations from the host too which were all great! We would absolutely stay here again.

Comment dire, si vous recherchez la quiétude, le repos, le soleil, une très belle vue sur la mer ,un jacuzzi pour la détente , dans une ville charmante, cette maison cycladique vous charmera comme elle nous a charmé ! Sue est une hôte accueillante, agréable et réactive . On ne peut que recommander ce petit coin de paradis !

Εξαιρετική επιλογή για διαμονή στον Πόρο. Το κατάλυμα ήταν σε ιδανική , ήσυχη τοποθεσία ,πεντακάθαρο και ήταν ακριβώς όπως στην περιγραφή της καταχώρησης. Ο Νικόλας και η μητέρα του ήταν απολύτως επικοινωνιακοί και πρόθυμοι να συνδράμουν σε οτιδήποτε χρειαστήκαμε με συμβουλές και κατατοπιστικές πληροφορίες. Με την άφιξή μας είχαν προνοήσει για κρύα εμφιαλωμένα νερά και παγάκια στο ψυγείο ,καθώς και μια ποιοτική σπιτική λεμονάδα για να φρεσκαριστούμε. Επίσης μας έδωσαν την ευκαιρία της ευέλικτης αναχώρησης και γενικά ήταν από τους οικοδεσπότες που τιμούνε τη φιλοξενία και σε κάνουν να αισθάνεσαι σαν να βρίσκεσαι σε οικείο χώρο. Η οργανωμένη παραλία ήταν στα 50 μέτρα απόσταση και δίπλα υπάρχει σούπερ μάρκετ και φούρνος για τις αγορές τελευταίας στιγμής. Στα υπέρ του χώρου το ιδιωτικό ασφαλές πάρκινγκ και η απίστευτη θέα από τις δύο βεράντες. Γενικά θα πρότεινα στους δυνητικά υποψήφιους μελλοντικούς ενοικιαστές να μην χάνουν το χρόνο τους αναζητώντας που θα μείνουν στο νησί......

Wir haben zu Zweit eine wunderbare Woche in Ioannis Appartement auf Hydra verbracht. Es gibt auch, entgegen den Angaben, heißes Wasser in Bad/Küche. Gerne mal wieder.

Hydra ist eine der schönsten Inseln, die ich je besucht habe und so war auch die Unterkunft - einfach magisch! Nur zu empfehlen!

A well designed beautiful white peaceful space with terrace and a courtyard tucked into one of the perfectly romantic alleyways in the port town of Idra. Close to the waterfront (the ferry) and the little bakeries, cafes and restaurants. I had been traveling for a couple of months and was flying back to N America for the busy holiday season and this was the perfect place to rest and recharge. I hiked, I ate good food, i read and relaxed. Loved everything about it. Great host-always responsive. Highly recommend.

Anna’s home was beautiful as was the location. Very close to some amazing restaurants on both sides of the peninsula. Easy walk to the ferry. We were made to feel like part of the family. Anna left us lovely fresh fruit, jams and water. Communication by Anna was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Perfect for us and we would definitely choose to stay here again if the opportunity arose. Thank you Anna.

Stamatis så vi lite til da han var syk. Men husverten Anna var nydelig fantastisk. Hun visste rett og slett ikke hva godt hun kunne gjøre for oss. Forventer du et 5 stjerners hotell, -styr unna!! Forventer du et 5 stjerners opphold med natur fredelig egen strand og enkle forhold med gangvei til tur fineste restaurant Marina like nedenfor er dette plassen. Her går hønene fritt, hunden jackie besøker deg og esler like bak huset. Dette er idyll du ikke får noe annet sted. Anbefaler en daglig tur inn til havnen som fin morgentur. 2 alternative stier å gå. Ta gjerne følge med en et esel på veien. De går ofte forbi med en stolt eier som leverer varer langs veien. TAxibåt like ved brygga gjorde også handleturer lettvint og idyllisk opplevelse. Fine strender i området men finest var den private like ved.

wir verbrachten eine wunderschöne woche in der unterkunft von stamatis und Anna. das kleine häuschen hat alles was man braucht und perfekte sicht auf den sonnenuntergang über dem meer. unser highlight aber war der perfekte baum mit zwei hängematten direkt vor der tür. Anna war super freundlich und hilfsbereit und wir haben uns direkt willkommen gefühlt. die insel selbst ist traumhaft und der kleine kiesstrand nur 200meter von der unterkunft entfernt. Das einzig negative ist, das bei der abholung mit dem wassertaxi von stamatis nicht kommuniziert wurde, dass dafür 25 euro berechnet werde. Alles in allem können wir es sehr empfehlen und freuen uns vielleicht noch einmal vorbeizugehen.

Wow! What a gorgeous view of the island of Poros from Argyro’s place on the mainland town of Galatas! It was also conveniently located to good eating and coffee places, and only a 5 minute walk to take the five minute ferry boat ride to Poros, a dreamy, most beautiful island!! The kitchen was fully equipped, and the apartment itself was most charming, as was our friendly and responsive host, Argyro, who went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. We will be back for sure!

We had a lovely one-night-stay at Dora's place near Hydra Port, in a traditional Hydra house. House was very cute and compact and had everything we needed for our stay. Beds were comfortable and you can see the sea from the upstairs bedroom. Only a ten-minute walk from Hydra Port, location was as picturesque as it gets (love how close the beach is, as well). We had a wonderful time at Dora's and will be returning to stay with her, for sure :) Thank you! Elsa, Alma & Anja

The hosts are very friendly and quick to respond to any questions, very clean and nice apartment...but most importantly...OMG the location and view are incredible! We loved sitting on the balcony morning and evening.
