Iberian Peninsula : locations de vacances dans des moulins à vent

Found this place by accident and can’t believe how perfect it was. The location and views were incredible, so private and peaceful but perfectly positioned to be able to get out to explore the local areas. We especially enjoyed all the local markets, and then loved coming back in the afternoons to make the most of the beautiful pool and outdoor areas. The windmill itself was gorgeous and perfectly kitted out to make the most of the shape and space available - but we did appreciate the convenience of the under terrace room by the pool as well so we didn’t have to tackle the stairs all the time!! Jean-Regis and Anneke were welcoming and friendly and very forgiving of our appalling French! We were honoured to spend a few hours with them chatting and tasting his delicious wines and local produce. It was a holiday we we won’t forget in a hurry, and hope to be able to repeat soon.

un séjour parfait. les instructions étaient parfaitement claires et nous avons pu nous installer sans souci. le cadre était magnifique et nous a beaucoup plu. Merci beaucoup ! ☺️

Wonderful place to stay with family, children especially would find the place delightful, with old parts of the mill decorating the front yard and providing an interesting diversion for the kids. Place is thoughtfully constructed and furnished by superb hosts Nuno and Cristiana. Would recommend without hesitation.

A expectativa de passar uns dias num moinho era grande. Ainda por cima com uma piscina só para nós. Fizemos surpresa às nossas filhas e o resultado foram 3 dias absolutamente fantásticos, com vistas deslumbrantes em 360°, com a sorte de termos apanhado 34° em outubro, o que nos permitiu usufruir da maravilhosa piscina! O moinho da Amélia excedeu todas as nossas expectativas!! Todos os detalhes decorativos, tanto no interior, como no exterior, tudo organizado de forma muito confortável e extremamente prática, apesar dos, obviamente, espaços pequenos no interior. Na zona da piscina, cadeiras, mesas, espreguiçadeiras, toldos, uma vista incrível! Os jardins cuidados, camas de rede, um sítio mágico, com um por do sol inesquecível! A simpatia dos anfitriões, as recomendações, boa conversa, simplicidade. Estamos encantados! Os adultos ficaram de coração cheio, alma renovada. As crianças e a nossa peluda canina, adoraram. Muito obrigada e, com toda a certeza, até breve!

The windmill is such a unique experience! It was very peaceful, with great views both looking down and also looking at the sky. Ana was very responsive with the questions we had and gave us good recommendations on things to do in the area and restaurants to try as well. The place had thoughtful amenities and we were quite comfortable staying there. Definitely recommended!

Jean Marcel est un excellent hote, un super accueil. La nuit au moulin est une expérience unique, à refaire !

This place is so cute and we were so excited to stay here! We were here in February and failed to miss the note that there is no heat. That was OUR fault and not Sabrina's. We were still comfortable and charmed by her place. She put plenty of warm bedding out for use and we both slept very well there. I would love to spend more time there in the warmer months. Sabrina was great and went out of her way to make it possible for us to stay there.

This has truly been one of the most beautiful and magical Airbnb spots I have been to - perhaps even the best. On the top of hill surrounded by mesmerizing nature, this old windmill has been revamped into a fairytale house. Beautifully and stylishly decorated with the the perfect balance of cozy, quaint, historical and comfortable to spend an unforgettable weekend. I loved the fireplace, which was the best place to sit by when the thunder and rainstorms outside made quite the audiovisual spectacle. Loved all the beautiful sitting spots outside (when it wasn’t raining 😁), as well as the chickens, dog, cat and the sweet goats down the hill that loved a good scratch on the head. Would sure love to come back and probably will, as portugal is getting more and more one of my favorite holiday places ❤️ Thanks Fiona and Simon for this great holiday within our holiday 🙏🏻🙏🏻
