My friend and I absolutely adored this beautiful home! From the location to the cleanliness to the aesthetics, it was all perfection. Anthony and Yr are wonderful hosts, and we enjoyed chatting with and getting to know them! We even jokingly wondered how much it would cost to have Anthony design our homes! Pros: Heated floors in the bathroom! Well appointed kitchen In unit washer and dryer Comfy beds and pillows Local recommendations Beautiful backyard garden Walkable and also short drive to Reykjavik Cons: Not a one

La sistemazione e’ stata quanto di meglio potessimo aspettarci. La casa consente di ospitare 7/8 persone in un ambiente accogliente, caldo e ben arredato, con una cucina fornitissima di tutto quello che può servire. Due bei bagni con doccia molto puliti e forniti di molti asciugamani. La titolare è stata molto premurosa nel contattarci per fornirci in anticipo tutte le indicazioni utili e molti suggerimenti su quanto poteva offrire il circondario. Selfoss e’ un’ottima base per visitare la parte sud dell’Islanda e la casa e’ in una zona tranquilla, qualche kilometro fuori città, attigua ad un allevamento di cavalli, ma allo stesso tempo molto comoda a tutti i servizi utili per gli approvvigionamenti quotidiani. L’esperienza vissuta è stata eccellente.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect as for the view the pictures do not do it justice. The hosts were so accommodating even letting us check in early. We were sad to leave and did not even want to stay in Reykjavík for the remainder of our stay in Iceland because of how wonderful our stay was.

This place is great! Very cozy and close to the golden circle and Selfoss, which has great restaurants! We especially enjoyed the cozy vibe of the interior furniture and kitchen. We also really enjoyed the hot tub and cold plunge combo. Magnús was really responsive when we had questions, and even got on the phone to walk us through how to fill the hot tub and turn off the lights so we could better view the aurora!

The place is nice, we just spent the night there. You won’t find other places nearby actually :). The communication was clear and timely. Check in was good, although we needed to dig with shovels a bit as there was a lot of snow in from of the door (but we kinda liked it). The interior is simple but we had everything we needed.

Location was good for a stay if you are driving around the ring road. Not much else around, but that didn't bother us. It was a peaceful relaxing place to stay, nice grassy yard and the hot tub was great. The restaurant 1km away at a hotel was surprisingly good as well. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

A stay at this lovely place gives you a high-end experience, no doubt. The house is spacious, clean, well organized, has super tasteful interiors, and a hot tub as the cherry on top! I was simply left with a "wow" after check in and seeing all the small details Thorunn pays attention to. She had made sure that we would not lack a thing, and the instructions she provided us with answered litterally every questions we had during our stay. What a perfect host Thorunn is! Highly recommend✨

it was a cozy place outside of Akureyri. we were there for skiing at hidarfjall and visiting all the northern sites of Iceland. not too far from akureyri where you can easily find enough eating options, groceries and fuel stations yet in a secluded area with a beautiful view of the mountains. house was neat and clean and had 2 cozy bedrooms with adequate heating. the bathroom was a but small but clean and we faced no issues. good place for the view, proximity to Akureyri and to station yourself for skiing nearby at hidarfjall or see all the northern tourist sites which are around 1-2 hrs away by car

A beautiful apartment that looks just like the photos! Comfy beds, spacious living room, well-stocked and modern kitchen. And super close to the downtown, many parks, and coastline. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Dísa's accomodation was outstanding. It was everything we could have asked for and more. We wanted something remote so we had more chances of seeing the aurora and we were amazed how stunning it was at the property - better than the tour we went on! There were some lovely walks we could take from the front door - just make sure you dress for the weather! Her dog Bonzo even joined us for the hikes and he was a lovely companion showing us the way. Dísa even came and gave us some eggs freshly laid on the farm that morning! The property was clean, spacious and well equipped. There are some local activities that Dísa recommended and can get some discounts on. We opted for a lovely natural hot springs which was just the ticket to soak in the thermal rock pools with the snowy mountains in the backdrop. Thank you again for an amazing stay. A truly unforgettable visit to Iceland!

Siggi was very friendly and helpful for our trip. The car he provided was very useful and reliable. The place was quite, clean, and warm just like home.

Loved our stay there. Spent about a week and had everything we needed. We try to pack light and made great use of the washing machine and massive drying rack (I took a pic because I want one at home) we got a bit confused finding the place but Arnar was there greet us and came down to the street and turned we were right in front of it. Tons of space and peaceful but also right near main part of town. We walked whenever we did things in town. Also very responsive. I asked questions before during and after our trip and he was always very available. Highly recommend this place for any group.

Geweldig verblijf. Lekker warm huisje, ruim en heel veel leuke spulletjes om te ontdekken. Geweldige hottub en zipline en we hebben het noorderlicht op 4 van de 8 dagen gezien. Goede locatie om het zuiden (zuid westen) te ontdekken en goed contact met de verhuurder gehad. Een auto is nodig om je goed te kunnen verplaatsen. Hier en daar is wat verbetering nodig aan het huisje maar ze zijn het dan ook aan het renoveren. Huisje is groot genoeg voor 6 personen. Hier zijn ook goede slaapplaatsen voor, maar de zolderkamer is echt te krap als slaapkamer. Dit is meer geschikt als een bergzolder. Ik zou het huisje de volgende keer weer boeken. Echt goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. We hebben hier een fantastische vakantie gehad met z'n drieën.

Heerlijk verblijf gehad en genoten van de mooie omgeving! Daarnaast helpt de host je altijd snel met vragen en was alles aanwezig in het huisje om je dagen door te komen. De basis artikelen waren al aanwezig en het huisje is heerlijk. De slaapkamer bovenin in de kruipruimte was wel erg smal. Kom je dus met 4 personen hou er dan rekening mee dat het vrij smal is en even klimmen om bij deze slaapruimte te komen. Bereik was daarnaast ook slecht in het huisje en geen wifi. Al deze punten waren voor ons geen probleem en hebben enorm genoten en zouden het zeker iedereen aanraden!

The cabin is as cozy as described and we were very comfortable. Being so close to the Secret Lagoon and Geysir was amazing. Our son enjoyed the snowy yard (so did we!) and we had remarkable views of the Nortern Lights.

We stayed at this place for two nights ( 3 adults and 1 kid). It is very well equipped, you'll find everything you need for grilling or regular cooking. Views are breathtaking, and if you're lucky with the weather you can just chill outside and enjoy the fresh air. Hosts were very friendly and quickly answered all our questions. Instructions are perfect. One thing to note - if you use google maps, don't put the address there, use the coordinates. Address is correct, but google maps directs you to wrong location ( though, not far from correct place ).

Was spending a few days away celebrating my wife’s 50th and Elin’s cabin did not disappoint. The cabin is beautiful and well stocked , kept very clean and clear instructions. Very peaceful with beautiful surroundings. Elín was very attentive and got in touch during our stay to make sure everything was ok. Would highly recommend this cabin, very impressive. Thanks for letting us stay.

We just loved it! We stayed 4 nights. Very quiet area. Very close to nature. Very private. Absolutly loved the hot pool! Amazing accomodation. If you get the chance, book it!! Very clean. Everthing is there (in the kitchen is even coffee, rice, oil, vinegar, spices...and like everything). It even had an airfryer! Never saw such a well prepared kitchen! If we come back to island one day we would definitly stay there again! Can't wait till this day! Highly recommend!

Das Haus liegt etwas abgelegen, jedoch mit dem Auto gut erreichbar. Die Schotterpiste macht Spass mit einem 4x4. Die Aussicht auf Akureyri ist wunderschön und an 2 Abenden konnten wir Nordlichter sehen. Die Unterkunft ist angenehm und ideal zum Energie tanken für die nächsten Abenteuer. Die Forest Lagoon mit ihren schönen Pools und Finnischer Sauna ist weniger als 10 Minuten per Auto entfernt.
