If you have a big group (6-10), want privacy and a quiet secluded place right outside Akureyri, you must stay here. The hot tub was a PLUS! You can see the northern lights from this cabin or a 9 min drive to a much darker location (Gasir). Akureyri is beautiful and its own city has everything you need. The host gave us an option to stay due to weather (as long as they are not booked the next day), but we had a tight schedule and had to leave to a different location. Thank you, I highly recommend and we will come back!

Charming old house in a perfect, stunning south coast location.

We stayed at Bjorn’s house for 3 nights and it was the perfect base for exploring beautiful West Iceland. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Bjorn was responsive and informative. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We werden warm onthaald door Siggi en hond Pieter! De accommodatie voldeed aan alle behoeften en we voelden ons er helemaal thuis! Lekker ruim, fijn ingericht, van alle gemakken voorzien en heel netjes en schoon. Esther was altijd bereikbaar bij vragen. We zijn jullie erg dankbaar en raden deze accommodatie ten zeerste aan!

Das Appartement war sehr schön und gemütlich. Wir fühlten uns vor beginn an wie zu Hause und genossen die Ruhe auf dem Land sehr. Tolle Lage für Ausflüge zum Golden Circle und weitere Orte. Würde sofort wieder buchen.

Kids enjoyed the most because of the PlayStation .We loved the cute radio playing in the morning during breakfast and the coffee machine was perfect ! We were very comfortable in your house . House was perfect for a family of 4. Also loved the attractions folder . We enjoyed the Mexican food from the food truck company and the ice creams from the local shop. Watched a nice movie together last night . Was home away from home . Thanks a lot .

A great place to stay in Saudarkrokur. It is a quiet neighborhood with an amazing view of the water. The house had everything we needed including washer and dryer with soap. We felt at home here and would love to return.

Great place with lovely views

Very convenient location for exploring the Snæfellsness Peninsula. Since you can park right outside the front door, moving in is easy. The host responded quickly to any concerns. The only drawback is that the shower wall doesn’t extend far enough, resulting in a wet bathroom floor.

Solid vehicle, super comfortable and warm. A GREAT way to see Iceland if you only have 24hrs! If you are coming from Canada, be prepared for insane gas prices…More than $300 to fill the tank.

Amazing cabin surrounded by beautiful mountains. Leszek was a great host, easy to communicate, very friendly and flexible. Cabin is more that we could imagine, very clean and beautiful decorated. Definitely recommend ❤️

This cottage was the perfect base for us to explore the Golden Circle and South Coast. The small town of Hvolsvollur has a grocery store, liquor store, gas stations, restaurants, and a municipal pool. We ate at the Art Cafe and Gallery Pizza. We saw the Northern Lights while sitting in the hot tub, so awesome! We cooked two dinners there, did laundry, and slept well.

Lovely cottage with amazing views. Cottage was clean, cozy, and exactly what we were looking for. Comfy beds and couch. Loved the covered hot tub - we had windy/rainy evenings, so it was nice to soak while having some weather protection! There is a large windowed sliding door you can open as well to let in cool air in. Host was friendly and communicative, check-in and check-out were very easy. Other pros - there’s a cute restaurant onsite, and we didn’t use them, but also laundry facilities. We’d definitely stay again!

Sigurdur's place is an ideal location. A quick drive into the city (15 minutes), a lovely walking path, and quiet. The unit was clean, had everything we needed and private. He was very responsive to questions and met us outside as soon as we arrived.

One of the best places we stayed while in Iceland. We were able to walk to the private black sand beach to watch the sunset. So picturesque and beautiful. The yurt was very comfortable. The heated beds were perfect. Even caught a glimpse of the northern lights! Cannot recommend this place enough.

Waren nun zum zweiten Mal in der Unterkunft. Schön ruhig und abgelegen und dennoch sind Selfoss und oder touristische Ziele schnell zu erreichen. Selfoss und der Krater Kerið in ca 15 Minuten und der Nationalpark Þingvellir in 40 Minuten. Ideale Ferienwohnung für 2 Personen die im Urlaub abschalten wollen. Auch der Kontakt mit Steinunn ist schnell und unkompliziert. Nächster Urlaub ist schon in der Planung.

Place was nice, better than in pictures in my opinion. We even saw the northern lights! Perfect place to stay near the airport.

We had a fantastic stay at this farmhouse! The space was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. A highlight of our visit was getting to play with the adorable Icelandic Sheepdog in the morning! We also got to see the northern lights very vividly right from the property, which made our stay even more magical. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to visit the stables to see the horses and sheep, but that’s definitely on our list for next time. This is a perfect place to stay for anyone visiting Iceland, and we highly recommend it. We’d love to come back!

This was the perfect stay for our 2 families of 3. Beautiful home in a peaceful location. I cannot emphasize enough how fantastic Gunnsa and Oli were. They were so responsive and helpful with our stay, recommending a taxi driver and making inquiries for us related to activities we wanted to do. The check in and check out was SO flexible and easy- the hosts were just amazing our whole week, going above and beyond. I would highly recommend staying at this beautiful home in Iceland.

Hafdis’ space is cozy and the view can’t be beat. It was as described and there were so many useful and personal touches. Hafdis was so kind and thoughtful. She alerted us of the Aurora so we could see and throughout the night we could view them from the window in the bedroom. The bathroom is clean with a great shower and some privacy from the sleeping space. The kitchenette is well stocked with useful items. If we ever return to Iceland we would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful house and surroundings. We really enjoyed watching the northern lights from the hot tub. Very cozy, and had everything we needed for our stay at a very good price!
