Beautiful guesthome with lovely pool & lake view !

Renee's place was everything we wanted and more for our vacation! Heated pool, hot tub, beautiful surroundings and peace/quiet. The mood/feel of the house was perfect upon arrival, the rooms lit and the music was a very nice touch! The house was very clean and we hope to be back again!! 10/10 would recommend!

We enjoyed our stay with our kids and family at this spacious home. Everything was as described and the pool/hot tub was a hit. we walked to town for food/groceries/dessert so it was a great deal. the local park was also a nice plus for the little ones. overall, fantastic stay. Would only mention, there are lots of stairs in case you have very little kids or elder people, we did fine but that is something to consider. great place, great host.

Lorraine was a lovely host, very kind and responsive. The house is very close to downtown Ottawa so it was easy to get places. Access to the hot tub was amazing. The apartment was clean and had all the amenities we needed (towels, blankets, kitchen items, etc.). It was perfect for 3 women getting away for a few nights. The neighborhood was very cute and great for walks. The apartment did not have a dining table but we knew that based on the pictures. I would highly recommend staying here to get away for a few nights, we had a lovely time. As a bonus, Lorraine's dog and cat are adorable as well!

They are both so great to work with. We love the place and want to stay there any time we are in Ottawa.

Our family rented this home because it was close to my parents' home that we visited for the Thanksgiving holiday. The Lake House was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The large kitchen served us well for our large family gathering. We really appreciated the pack n play, high chair, and toys for our toddler grandson! The adults enjoyed spending time in the game room with ping pong table, dartboard, and game table. So glad you provide a washer and dryer. The view of the lake and surrounding wooded neighborhood was spectacular. It was a cold week or we would have enjoyed spending more time on the deck and at the dock. We can hopefully rent it for future visits to central Illinois- maybe in the summer months! Thank you so much for adding to our holiday vacation.

Our second time staying at this house. We love it! There were even updates since we stayed last year. Perfect for a large group.

Platypus Hills is a superb retreat! The home was perfectly equipped, clean and so comfortable! Danielle, Susie, Nancy & Dawn are perfect hosts! Available and friendly but respectful of your privacy. The setting is idyllic and provided me and friends a peaceful and relaxing get away that left us refreshed and re-energized. Just loved our time! Thank you all!
