Our second stay at Labrador Lakehouse was a treat! It feels like home and it's a great place for our family to stay while we visit our son at SIU. The common areas are large and comfortable to share and we enjoyed meeting the other guests and their dog. The wrap around porch is a slice of heaven. Choose a nice spot to sit and enjoy the peace. Victoria is a friendly and attentive host. Couldn't ask for more.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience staying at Linen&Stone for our weekend trip to Galena. Our room was clean and comfortable, including everything we needed for our one night stay. The water pressure in the shower was very strong and room was warm all night even with the single digit temperatures outside. The Unit was less than a 10 minute walk from Main Street, which was very convenient considering the winter weather. I would highly recommend staying here for your visit to Galena.

My daughter and myself stayed the night before her wedding. It was beautiful and felt super special. We did have an issue with a light and they quickly brought in a lamp and a lighted mirror. They were so thoughtful with the extra step of the lighted mirror. Great place to stay and get ready for a special day. Bed was super soft and comfortable too. Highly recommend!!

I had a wonderful stay at this property. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and responsive to all my needs, making the experience even more enjoyable. I also appreciated the thoughtful snack bar they provided – a nice touch that added to the overall comfort of my stay.

Look no further... I travel the country building restaurants and can honestly say I have never had a more pleasant stay. The property is absolutely beautiful and very well maintained, sitting on the rivers edge. Joe, wife, and staff do a fantastic job of respecting your privacy, yet have this uncanny ability to somehow know when you do have need or a little guidance. The location was amazing! 3 blocks to Michigan Ave, around the corner from the Red Line, 2 doors from a CVS and a grocery store. So many restaurants! No need for a car. Location is walkable to many of Chicago’s attractions. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is hip! The room is small but perfect for 2 people.

Was in town for a wedding. Christine was nice enough to let us bring our stuff early. The place is a very charming house and looked just like the pictures! Thank you, Christine, for your wonderful hospitality.

Had a wonderful stay at the Plainfield Inn. Was just steps from the Main Street with restaurants, bars, shops and coffee shops within walking distance. The room itself was clean, spacious and in a beautiful 1851 restored house. Rooms were on the second floor so there were stairs to climb if that’s an issue for you. We really liked our stay.
