We loved this beautifully designed and decorated timber-frame barn in hilly, Illinois farm country! Jilly and KenBob are warm hosts who welcomed us with convivial conversation and our pup with a canine chorus.

We had a lovely stay. it's super cute, private, and quiet. we will definitely book again. there are 13 other cabins to chose from. We also enjoyed the town and near by venues. Cool place❣️

It was the perfect tiny space for our get away

Overall great stay, may not be for everyone with some of the hunting decor but it very much gives off cozy cabin vibes which more than accommodated for our needs. A full kitchen of pots and pans made it very easy for a great homemade breakfast. Had a small issue getting into the cabin initially but this would be an oversight on my end as Mike had put the enter/check-in code in the initial message with me. Would definitely book again! 5/5

Stayed here a few times now. Love the space and the surroundings. Good spot to get to various preserves and trails. Will stay again as I love the farm fresh eggs too!

We only ended up staying one night as the weather was not cooperating with our plans. The place was cote and clean and close to the parks we were hoping to visit. Elaine gave lots of local recommendations. Hopefully we will be back sometime.

We loved this stay and can't wait to return. It's a older, clean, well loved & maintained home, in a beautiful, quiet and safe neighborhood. We're moving and this was a test for the style of home, community and train system. We drove in, but used CTA all week. The walk to the train was an easy 15 minute's or 20. The walk to the main street just 10. We were out late most nights, St. Patrick's Day week, but never felt unsafe walking back at 1am or so. So many good restaurants, we couldn't try them all! Fun little pubs on the corners. A comedy club with free shows during the week, and the friendliest people. This was the best holiday/ scouting trip I could have hoped for. Now, I could write a novella about how wonderful Elizabeth is. I've traveled all over the world, in many rentals, and she is hands down the best in service I've experienced. From email updates to a full call about restaurants on our drive in, she exceeds anything we expected and we will be renting here again.

Phillip was a great host, the cabin was perfect for my wife and to really enjoy a peaceful stay. He was very responsive and friendly. Great location! Great Host! Great Cabin. My wife and I will definitely be back to enjoy the beautiful and peaceful location again.

I stayed at the cottage for one month, as my home in town was being renovated and I needed somewhere to stay. The cottage provided a cozy, comfortable, and private space. The description was accurate. The view of the river was calming and the fox that visited during the winter storm was a highlight of the stay. That is certainly memorable! Perfect location! Close to Dubuque and Galena. The restaurant they own is amazing as well! Definitely want to rent a few cabins for a birthday getaway!

A very clean and comfortable stay with everything one could possibly need, including things you didn't know you needed. I'm a repeat visitor and each time I notice some new little convenience or extra.

This was by far one of my all time favorite air bnb’s. The space is absolutely beautiful and so relaxing. The hot tub outside was everything I had hoped for. I was there in an “off season” time for Grafton and it was still so much more than I had hoped for. I truly cannot wait to return in the spring or fall.

We had a wonderful three nights here, thoroughly enjoying the cabin, pond, and birds. Sitting on the porch in the mornings was a true joy, watching the trees and flowers bud and listening to all the songbirds. We've heard the resident owl(s) every night along with the pond frogs; a little bit of heaven. We also like the area and have visited several towns. Years ago, I (Chris) did a lot of camping and hiking in Shawnee National Forest and it was great to be back in the area. The cabin and its amenities were perfect for us (love the shower!). Me and my partner stayed here over the weekend and all I can say is this was the best weekend I have had in a long time. April was a great host always kept in contact with me and was there for me if I had any questions. The cabin was clean from top to bottom you're surrounded by nature and it is so peaceful. I was able to go fishing at anytime something I live to do so that was great you wasn't that far from stores like a Walmart or a Starbucks. But overall I rate the Lilypad 100/100. If you want to getaway for the weekend this is the place to be that's if you want peace and quiet and you love nature.

We had a lovely time at the cabin! The hosts were communicative and let us check in a bit early which was amazing. They also had great recommendations for us. We had a cozy time even when it rained all day after coming back from shopping in Galena - took a nap and watched movies. This was the relaxing weekend vacation we needed!

This was my second time staying here. I really enjoy this place. When I walked in, I felt right at home. It is cozy, with a nice little kitchen and nice bathroom. The outstanding thing about this place is the hostesses. They are extremely responsive and helpful, yet stay completely out of your hair unless you contact them. My kids really loved the easy access to the lake. They had a good time fishing. All-in-all, great stay.

Amazing and beautiful place. Very cozy and quiet! The Inn was clean and had plenty of extra amenities provided by the host. I would stay here anytime I’m in the area for sure!

We can’t say enough about this experience. This was our second stay in this cabin, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were able to do all the things this time and still had plenty of time to unwind and recharge. Tammy is hands down the best host we’ve ever had. She made us feel like VIP guests, from the beekeeping and honey tasting experience to her wonderful storytelling and immediate responses to our questions. Everything was clean and very well organized. We loved every single thing about this visit and can’t wait to go back!
