とても居心地の良い宿でした。室内に時計がないのもステキな配慮だなと感じました。時間を忘れてゆっくりと休むことが出来て、心と体が癒されました。またお部屋は藍染めの物がいいアクセントになっていて、『藍』を身近に感じることができました。

If there is a prize for best Airbnb host, Ryochi should win it. He is the most thoughtful, generous, and attentive host we have ever encountered in all our years of Airbnb stays. On his own accord, he picked us up from the train station, reserved restaurants, arranged for a private car to the airport, provided details for touring the area, and even checked in on us to make sure we made it on the last evening bus through town after our tour of the spectacular cemetery. Simply amazing. The house is a perfectly designed nest (architecture and design-lovers will especially enjoy all the details)—right across from all the major temples. Our family of four was very comfortable, and the entire stay was extra meaningful, thanks to Ryochi’s top-notch hospitality.

My family of 8 enjoyed the place tremendously (both elderly and kids). The house was clean, had a separate dining area for BBQ and hot pot. Kitchen was well equipped with two big sinks and several faucets so it made preparation and cleaning for dinner much faster. The place had 2 toilets + 1 urinal indoors and also 1 toilet outside at the separate dining area. 1 full bathroom indoors with bathtub and shower then 1 shower that outdoors - which was a bit too cold to use, so if they had another shower indoors it would’ve been perfect!! There’s a huge area outdoors that you can enjoy but sadly we were only here one night so couldn’t maximise the use of space. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Awaji! Thank you so much for such a warm house to stay in!

Six of us spent two unforgettable nights at Doratei in Ryujinmura, Japan — a beautifully renovated traditional house that seamlessly blends rustic charm with modern comfort. The open-concept, fully functional kitchen turned meal prep into a lively, social affair — moving from stove to table was effortless, making every meal a shared experience. The bucolic surroundings were a dream to explore at our own pace — winding trails, lush greenery, suspension bridges and the warmest locals. The mix of tatami mats, shoji screens, and sleek modern touches created a cozy yet stylish vibe. A special highlight was meeting Lee, an awesome storyteller who introduced us to his farm family — the goats, ducks, and chickens were an absolute delight! 🐔🦆🐐 If you’re looking to discover the quieter, more authentic side of Japan, do take the road less travelled to stay here 😌

Kenji's home was spacious and incredibly clean. It was exactly as described. When we arrived, we met Kenji's mother who showed us how to enter the place. She also walked us through the home and demonstrated how to use the hot water and A/C unit. She was incredibly helpful! My partner and I stayed in Shingu to hike the Koguchi-goe and Ogumotori-goe trails for two days. We started our day by walking to the nearby bus stops and traveling to the trailheads. Because of the home's location, we were also able to finish our days at local restaurants. We plan to stay here again in the future!

We just stayed again with our dogs. The staff is so friendly and the rooms are clean, spacious and well-designed. We will definitely stay again!

We had a comfortable stay here, and the GPS location sent to me was accurate. So, I could check in late at night easily. Also, there was enough space to park the car, and the convenience store was so close, a 5-minute driving distance. The place was extremely clean and matched the description and photos provided. The equipment and other stuff were easy to use, and we had cooked a great dinner here. Thank you Kana, for preparing the place for us; we had a very comfortable stay and rest here.
