The cabin was beautifully kept up and very comfortable, we especially loved the cozy decor, extra blankets and well stocked kitchen for cooking. Close to amenities for grocery shopping, and well placed for us as we explored Death Valley nearby. A couple of unexpected surprises waited for us when we checked in, very sweet of Paula and exciting for my kids. Pool and backyard was amazing - too cold for us to swim but if it had been a bit warmer, we’d have loved to hang out there.

A stunning world class location! It was so nice to be nestled in amongst the giant rocks and have views of the Sierra out the bedroom window. Giant outdoor deck and walks right outside the door. The beds and furniture were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. I would love to come back again and would highly recommend this home.

This home is adorable and exactly as pictured. It was perfect for our family of four. The comfortable bedding and black out shades were great for a good night’s sleep. The kitchen and gas grill were ideal for prepping delicious meals. The location felt private and the surrounding mountains give it a peaceful setting. The hosts are very responsive, though we did not have any issues during our stay. We highly recommend staying in this beautiful home.

Perfect place to stay with our adult kids & grandkids! Such a beautiful cabin in a lovely location! Our grandkids loved the extras - the teepee to sleep in, toys, books, & fun play equipment outside. The walk down to the lake is amazing. The house is clean and well stocked! Perfect place to make memories!

Casa Pondo is an absolute gem in the Sequoias. Tucked away at the top of Ponderosa, Sarah's place is a cozy cabin surrounded by beautiful trees and nature. Also the backyard opens up to the Sequoia National Forest, so it feels like a real retreat into the woods. My dogs loved to explore, we cooked and had fires every night, and we even got some snow! Magical space, we hope to be back soon!

Katie and Pat were very friendly and accommodating to our situation. The cottage had a nice kitchen with all amenities, in a quiet area. Would definitely stay again!

Our stay was great and, overall, what we expected. The views are always amazing in Lone Pine/Alabama Hills. The house is close to Movie Road and you can easily access hundreds of miles of other dirt roads that lead to mines, ghost towns, etc. We brought our large overlanding truck and logged well over 100 miles in the dirt--seeing things you wouldn't normally see up close with a car. The house served as a great base for this. We did run into an issue with water pressure during our stay but Jill and Tracy were super responsive and have a surprisingly strong network of maintenance folks in the area (or relatively close) considering Lone Pine is not a large town by any means. The issue was fixed in an hour or so and we would give Jill and Tracy six stars for responsiveness if we could. Responsive hosts are as important as the house/location itself, so hats off to them. Highly recommend.
