We have stayed with Margie about 4x a year for almost 7 years as we have traveled on 395 between San Diego and the Truckee area. We are so comfortable and at home during our two night stays. Margie has become a friend who we admire greatly; she is a lovely, positive person and a perfect hostess.

We had a great 2-day stay here while exploring Death Valley! This place was super clean, well-stocked with everything we needed, and very comfortable after long days of hiking and sightseeing. The kitchen had all the essentials, the bed was cozy, and there were thoughtful touches throughout that made it feel like home. The location was quiet and convenient, and we would definitely stay here again!

Perfect place to stay with our adult kids & grandkids! Such a beautiful cabin in a lovely location! Our grandkids loved the extras - the teepee to sleep in, toys, books, & fun play equipment outside. The walk down to the lake is amazing. The house is clean and well stocked! Perfect place to make memories!

This home was impeccably curated and designed with vignettes of beautiful, interesting, and storied items. Everything was well-appointed and top of the line which framed the breathtaking views of the mountains. It was so quiet with the occasional farm animal sounds that added to the overall immersive experience. Definitely try a peaceful soak in the outdoor stone tub! I am so grateful we had a chance to stay here during our first visit to the Eastern Sierras. Highly recommend!

Sarah’s cabin in the woods was exactly what our family of 5 was looking for! Peaceful, relaxing, incredibly cozy. Our kids loved playing in the snow with the sleds that Sarah had provided, exploring the forest, climbing rocks, playing with the many games inside, and more! We all felt right at home. The most challenging part was the last hour of the drive, but we all agreed it was very worth it for the stay at Casa Pondo! Thank you so much Sarah and we hope to come again!

Katie and Pat were very friendly and accommodating to our situation. The cottage had a nice kitchen with all amenities, in a quiet area. Would definitely stay again!

We absolutely loved staying at Reo’s Ranch! Mike and Diana’s house was so comfortable and cozy and really felt like home. The house is well stocked with anything you might need (kitchen supplies, laundry detergent, soap/shampoo, lots of towels/blankets) and the views in every direction are simply stunning. We spent a lot of time hiking right out back and had a spectacular walk up Whitney portal Road, which was still largely closed for the winter time. We especially enjoyed getting up early for the sunrise on the front porch. The neighborhood is quiet and very private. They have a wonderful record collection and our kids loved playing ping-pong and pool in the basement. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets every night from the backyard. It was truly a very special experience for our family. Don’t hesitate, book this place now!

A cozy house with great proximity to Death Valley National Park. Very quiet area which made it easy to get a good night's sleep. Had a bit of trouble with the oven but the host was very responsive and indicated that the oven would be replaced soon so hopefully doesn't impact other guests. The perfect stopping place for a quick trip to the park.

Booked this place so I can take a break from the corporate grind. Exactly the place to be. The road up makes it the perfect place to stay off the grid. Growing up in Humboldt, this was a nice home away from home. Wonderful fresh mountain air, fun woodpeckers and deer. Thankfully we brought our food to cook with, no “real” grocery store locally. There is a fun restaurant and “essential” store walking distance. Includes a nice seating area outside to just enjoy the surroundings. The place itself is what it looks like online, but is far more “comfortably modern” than it sounds. The heating was super comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need in terms of equipment, and main bedroom has a comfortable bed. Fred even had fun snacks out in the kitchen. The loft bed is definitely more used, so a little uncomfortable but I made no complaints. There were two huge local dogs that came over on the property each morning - seemed friendly but no owner around. Fun dvds and puzzles too!
