A delightful seaside cottage, elegantly designed with a porch overlooking the bay. Very comfortable and quiet. One can hear the soothing sounds of waves at night. There are gardens front and back with tables from which to enjoy the view. This is a fantastic place to watch sunset every evening.

Beautiful house with amazing views. Clean and tidy. Well organized with all facilities. Enjoyed staying here. Simon is very friendly host and communication is easy. Highly recommend this place.

Thank you Tania. Absolutely perfect for my daughter and I. We are country lovers so this couldn’t have been better for us. Loved looking at the horses out the window / door. Loved the sounds of the birds in the evening and the morning. I got a little confused finding the cottage at first as I went up the left driveway to the main house, not the right driveway. But was able to get hold of Tania promptly and she was able to redirect me. This is a beautiful rustic type cottage with the space really well thought out. I didn’t mind the kitchenette in the bathroom. Obviously as long as you keep everything sanitary as you use it it’s not an issue. Kind of the same situation if you were to stay in a caravan everything is close together amenities wise. Was nice and warm and super cosy. Would absolutely stay here again. Thanks so much for your kind, friendly and inviting hospitality.

What an amazing place, with a view even more stunning than it appears in the photo! Everyday I felt compelled to take a photo of the constantly changing scene laid out in a 180 degree panorama. Benoit was a very thoughtful and responsive host, and it was everything my family (two adults, two kids) needed for our visit to Wellington. It is a very comfortable and beautiful house, and a handy location including shops a few minutes drive away and a great cafe a few minutes walk down the path. Although looks a bit out of town on the map, it is a short and easy drive into the city. Oscar the cat was soon part of the family and our son was very sad to say goodbye!

From a host perspective, Huong was very responsive, flexible and accommodating to our needs. We had a group of 10 staying at this location and it was unique and allowed us to stay together for a family wedding. In general, the place was as described. There were a handful of maintenance and cleaning items that could have been improved, but these did not distract from our stay at all. We had a large group and the garbage/recycling was a bit of a challenge without a vehicle the first few days, but we managed that too. The home is distinct and one of a kind, with rich history. The long drive was a great test for us and Uber drivers alike!! The grounds provide its own opportunity to explore and do some hiking and such. The views are incredible. I appreciate the opportunity to stay here. I understand the property remains for sale and look forward to see how this unfolds.

Fabs’ guesthouse was absolutely what we needed - perfect for a weekend getaway to relax and unwind. Set among beautiful gardens with a spa pool. We recommend.

Great house in a beautiful location. Excellent amenities, beautiful design, perfect for travelling with pups. A few notes: - The # of steps up to the unit might be underestimated by a factor of ~5. Not recommended unless you're reasonably fit. - The bedroom doors don't latch. There are hook-style locks provided....on the outside of the door. Not a huge deal, just means you need to shove something under the door if you want to keep the dogs from nosing their way in. - The water from the tap gets _really_ hot. This is great for some things (shaving) and less great for others (shower, dishwashing) Overall an excellent spot!

A super lovely and quiet spot. Very convenient with a car or uber to all of central Wellington. Place was great and Jennie was a pleasure to communicate with.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is super clean, modern, tidy and has new appliances and so on. It felt quiet and private and has a big back yard and off street parking. Our host were communicative and responsive, and check in was super easy.

We have stayed at Treehouse on numerous occasions now and it never disappoints. Quirky and cute with stunning views over Wellington Bay - and the sunsets beat TV hands down.

What a wonderful place to stay while in Wellington! I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Kate is very communicative, thoughtful and helpful and her tips and suggestions really improved my visit. You *must* be able to walk up and down lots of steps in order to stay here (as well as walk around the surrounding area), but it’s so worth it. You get an authentic Wellington experience living here and can explore the hidden pathways (most with steps!) as you walk to Zealandia, the Botanic Gardens (and glow worms!), and the cable car. And it’s only a 5- minute walk to the local village shops and excellent restaurants. I was able to comfortably stay here for 4 days without a car. I wish I could have stayed longer. Fantastic place to stay in Wellington; especially if you’re going to visit The Weta Workshop since is just around the corner! Super lovely hosts with great communication. The place is easy access to and from the airport, a quieter area of town but still only a short walk away to different amenities. (Little convenience store, restaurant, and a cute cafe only two minutes away, plus other great restaurants/breweries only a 10 minute walk down the road.) It was a very comfortable stay; the place felt nice and homey and had great bedding. We also appreciated the extra amenities of complimentary teas/coffee, different games, movies, and books to check out- would 100% recommend staying here!

Do yourself a favour and stay at Hikaia’s beautiful period house in Wellington. Its location so close to the harbour and the city centre is ideal for anyone wishing to spend a few days wandering around the city. The house itself is beautifully restored with great attention paid to even the smallest details like period light switches and even toilet roll holders! I recommend this accommodation highly.

Everything about this listing was spot on Ellen is very pro-active & we chatted from the minute I booked, right up until we left The space is absolutely beautiful & we wanted for nothing while there It is spacious, light filled & listening to the insects & birds was extremely soul soothing Having grown up in Titahi Bay, it was lovely to be in my neighbourhood but enjoying someone else's space. Someone who provides a plethora of thoughtful little touches ... An extremely comfortable bed ... Tonnes of storage space ... Cooking facilities & a great outside area to eat ... We were extremely spoilt! Thanks for having us Ellen! We'll be back 🙏🏽

I had a bit of trouble with working out the lock and key system, and Sayuri was patient and responded quickly. It was really cosy and comfortable. Uncluttered, but all you needed. Warm .Cute kitchen with everything in it. Lovely breakfast offerings, and coffee plunger available. Thanks sooo much for the chance to stay. Easy access to the Cable Car so very convenient to get down town

Very lovely and cozy. Beautiful sunlight. I personally love the kitchen area and the small balcony. At night it can be loud but it's not that big problem. Overall my family love it. Located in the city centre, it's very easy to get around and travel from the airport by bus. There're supermarket and convenient store nearby. It's close to the museum and a nice haborside. The check-in instuction was very clear and easy to follow. Kelly was very responsive. My family had a great time staying at Kelly's place and definitely consider booking this place again.

It was a fantastic lacation for us as our daughters were at a dancing summer school at Scots College. It allowed us to drop off and pick them up as needed. The unit was quiet and was a home away from home as it had all the utilities and comforts of home. Lisa came down to the unit to help us connect to the wifi and this allowed us to plan our days of sight seeing when our daughters weren't dancing. Really enjoyed having the view of Wellington Airport, watching the aeroplanes coming in to land and taking off. The airport was a colourful show at night. Would recommend this unit to anyone coming to Wellington for a holiday.

Margarets townhouse was spotlessly clean, well appointed, and extremely quiet and comfortable. It’s in a small village on the outskirts of Wellington, but within easy drive of the airport and ferry terminal. We used the local bus service to go into Wellington. The bus stop is at the end of the drive and the service frequent (every 10 minutes). Zealandia eco reserve a 5 minute drive. Margaret reached out to us the day before check in and provided provisions for us to make breakfast. Her attention to detail can be seen everywhere around. The kitchen was well stocked and there is a corner store within 1 min walk which everything we needed. There is also a coffee shop and restaurants/take-out but we did not try them. Margaret was friendly, engaging and responsive. Thank you Margaret. We would definitely stay again when in the area.

My husband and I loved this place! Hands down the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in and that is saying a lot. We took the bus to go downtown which was easy and inexpensive. We walked in the native gardens right next to the property. We walked to the grocery. Even though we had a car we never needed it. The porch was our favorite place and we sat and watched the birds. So peaceful and seemed worlds away from the city. Highly recommend this beautiful home and grounds.
