Isle of Portland : locations de vacances

We were a group of 12, and every one of us agreed this is the best holiday house we've ever stayed in. We loved the location, right by the beach and a short walk into town, but at the end of a cul-de-sac, so quiet and safe. We loved all the many books and musical instruments in the house - we felt very at home! We loved the beautiful sea views from 3 bedrooms, and the comfy beds, and the well-equipped kitchen. Our children loved the wide range of toys and the games console. The host made us feel very welcome. We felt it was very good value for money, and we would really like to come back and stay here again.

Hele leuke plek om te verblijven! Het voelt heel afgelegen aan, maar de stad is op slechts 10 minuutjes te bereiken met de auto. We hebben een kampvuur kunnen maken; een hele gezellige avond. Zeker aan te raden!

4 adults, 4 young children and a dog stayed here for 3 nights over the NYE period. The house was well equipped and a good space for us. Highlight was the pool and given the time of year/weather it was great having somewhere we could use with the kids for an activity. Nice produce in Craig’s dairy farm next door. Just bear in mind there is a definite cow manure smell, so not sure how that would play out in the summer if you were eating outside. No little shops that are walkable for essentials so that is something to note. Other than those small things we had a great time!

Wow, what a stunning location. It's every bit as beautiful as in the photos. We watched glorious sunsets from the terrace and enjoyed walks on the beach. I enjoyed looking around the immaculately kept gardens and could have watched the colourful koi in the pond for hours, plus the two cute horses in the field. Andrew's directions to the house are spot-on, please don't trust your satnav or you risk being taken down some very narrow lanes with grass growing in the middle and no passing places. Ask me how I know. There is no mobile reception at the house, as you would expect given the location, but the wifi is very good. Beds and bedding super comfortable.

We had a beautiful stay here! The lodge was lovely and clean with a great view. The hot tub was a perfect addition and we had a great time relaxing here. It is also a great location for getting to Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and other stunning places.

We’ve used AirBnB a few times and generally enjoy the experience Joe’s place is the first we’d actually use again It was a great place to use to go out each day and very relaxing to return to The kitchen is a proper kitchen where if you wanted you could cook a whole meal. Jacuzzi was excellent and we used it after a day out walking etc Joe is lovely and very helpful

The flat is very spacious with plenty of storage space. Nice nautical decorations. Right on the coast in West Bay within easy walking distance to restaurants and the South Coast Path. Parking space is a bonus, as is Netflix. Would definitely recommend.

A nice weekend stay in January 2025. The accommodation is up the hill, a little walk from Swanage seafront; easy access by car to Langton Matravers/Dancing Ledge. The ground floor is what can be used as a self-contained double bed apartment. The first floor is a kitchen/diner/lounge. The attic floor is a nice master bedroom and a small twin room. The accommodation suited us very well and was spacious for the 3 of us staying. There is a nice pub and small Spar nearby. All communication was good and access easy. It's on-street parking so we had to park a few mins away. It felt a safe neighbourhood. We would return to this property!

The property was outstanding, nestled in the charming Ashley Cross area of Poole, brimming with nearby amenities including cozy coffee shops, delectable restaurants, and welcoming pubs right on the doorstep. The space itself was a haven of relaxation, boasting a thoughtfully designed layout, an exceptionally comfortable couch, and the luxurious touch of underfloor heating. Its location offers the best of both worlds: a short drive to the picturesque beach and seamless access to the countryside, complemented by convenient public transport options with multiple bus routes and a train station within easy reach. Hosts Lu and Robert were exceptionally responsive and went above and beyond to ensure a delightful stay. My wife and I loved our experience so much that we're already planning a two-month return visit.
