Unfortunately, I didn't get to stay Grace's due to an emergency. However, she was very kind to book a hotel room for me and my dog. I'm very grateful for that. I am sure, as diligent as she was, she is a great host. Hopefully, one day I'll stay at her place.

Beautiful room to stay in. Felt very private. House smelled amazing and the house itself was gorgeous. Can’t wait to stay again.

This is an excellent getaway for anyone wanting to enjoy the beauty of Southern Illinois. The price point is great, its much better than a hotel. The washer and dryer is awesome, the kitchen is excellent and would allow someone who can cook to do about anything they want to do. The bedrooms looked great and the living space furniture was fine. I honestly never watched the tv, but it looked like a really nice big screen. Its in a rural spot with very little traffic and quiet, but your minutes away from Carbondale, a little farther down the road is Marion, both places have excellent dining and more city atmosphere. Crab Orchard NWR is almost the back yard.

Very comfy and beautiful place to stay. Very clean and well kept too. The lake in the yard was also super pretty. Our host was amazing. Very nice, welcoming and gave us privacy too. I highly recommend Martha and her place to stay at!

We really appreciated the beauty of this well preserved historical home. In addition , it was unusually clean and every detail was thought of in regard to amenities . The location of the home is in walking distance to many restaurants and shops and yet set in a very quiet neighborhood. We loved cooking in the big kitchen and the our very private and quiet bedroom tucked away at the top of the house. Finally, our hostess was very quick to respond to any questions that we had.

Peaceful, Quiet & Comfortable. Plenty of room for our group to spread out. 3 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, living room, dining room upstairs and the same downstairs. We all slept so soundly.

What a wonderful property and the hosts made us feel right at home. We showed up as guests and definitely left as friends after a great time.

Tracy was easy to reach and very responsive and helpful w any questions. She was very hospitable but not intrusive. Her place/neighborhood felt safe. As a female traveling alone that was very notable to me.

Extremely cool place to stay. Clearly, a ton of effort went into making this cellar so unbelievably cozy and hospitable. The decor is well curated, and I loved that they kept the bare stone wall in the shower! Felt like washing in a waterfall, haha. Kitchen had great, high quality cooking tools. Absurdly comfy bed with nice pillows. Overall, a great balance of historical interest and modern comfort. I DEFINITELY want to come back.

Such a wonderful experience from start to finish! Leah’s home is absolutely beautiful with the ultimate charm. She gave us the warmest welcome and showed us around, but it wasn’t until we settled into our room that I noticed the all of the finishing touches that made this stay so memorable…the beds were SO comfortable, the smell in the house is intoxicating, the bathroom floors are heated (which she didn’t mention but I noticed immediately as my feet hit the floor), and all the extra amenities that no one knew they wanted (but I promise you do) ♥️ I could go on and on. She definitely takes the B&B experience to the next level. Breakfast was amazing! I’ve already told 3 people about this place so it’s safe to say, I’ll definitely be back!

Leah was such a special host that made us feel at ease and served us graciously. I enjoyed getting to know her and she also gave us space and the downtime we needed. Her homemade tea and cake and breakfast spread were amazing!!!

A charming place with fantastic hosts! Hosts are very friendly and immediately made us feel welcome. The accommodations were extremely clean and we had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was a bonus and the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend staying here and we will definitely book again when visiting the area.

Very interesting historic home. A lot of work went into restoring it. It was easy to find and Julia has a dedicated parking lot just for guests. Downtown is only a block away and yet the location of the B&B was peaceful. I enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the late afternoon. Overall a great stay.

Beverly and Bob were wonderful hosts. They greeted us on the front porch, showed us around their home, asked what we wanted for breakfast the next day and were just pleasant. Their home is beautiful. Make sure to take a peak out on the back porch as there are so many hummingbirds and cardinals to watch!

We enjoyed our quiet stay in Cape Girardeau. Alyssa recommended two wonderful restaurants! The room and home were beautiful, and decorated with historical influences. No clutter or dust! Peaceful, close to the area we wished to visit, and safe. Our room was beautifully procured, with touches of local cottage industry bath products. The mattress was amazing…and we were greeted with fresh baked cookies! Alyssa is passionate about her Air BnB, and it shows!
