Absolutely loved our stay here. All of the amenities were so forward-thinking, meeting our every need. Cozy, beautiful, peaceful—the whole package. Would definitely stay here again.

Mark, was attentive in every way! His house was beautiful, well appointed, and decorated in a cozy fall theme. The gardens and yard art were lovely. The lake was so peaceful to sit by. We all enjoyed ourselves very much. It was a great place to relax.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jennifer’s home. We stayed here with 3 other couples from our church lifegroup and we had an awesome time. The house is super clean and has plenty of utensils for cooking. The bedrooms were spaced out enough for a decent amount of privacy. The living room was nice and cozy with the fireplace with very nice windows opening to the lake. The hot tub was great. The garage had several games such as ping pong for adults or kids to enjoy. Jennifer’s communication was also excellent and the house was exactly as described. We had no complaints whatsoever.

Megan and Rob were exceptional hosts. We rented their cottage to host our family Thanksgiving, and Megan had even gone the extra mile by decorating the house for us. Everything was absolutely wonderful. The kitchen and dining room were equipped with everything one would need to comfortably stay there for a weekend, let alone host a dinner for a family of 15.

What a great find! Comfortable house on a lake (Wamplers) just 45 minutes from home in Ann Arbor! Easily accommodated 4 grandkids (10,8,5,3) and my son and I. "Bunk room" was perfect for the 3 older siblings. We loved the upstairs double showers. Very well supplied kitchen and very ample supply of towels. The game/toy cupboard was a big hit. The house felt safe for kids to be at ease, while also having them be respectful of the property. We happily used the grill for a dinner. Though the temperature was on the cool side for summer, the kids still spent plenty of time at the beach. We took the Dairy Bar suggestion seriously and had ice cream every night!! We're so happy that Layne accommodated our family. We were grateful to be able to check in early. A great place for an end of summer vacation for "Nana Camp"!

We had a great time! And the place was charming and so clean. The lake is beautiful! The beds were comfy and it accommodated all of us well. We will probably be back and will definitely recommend the little red cottage!

Wonderful place. We ended up booking a last minute weekend getaway for our family of four. Unfortunately due to the rain on Saturday and Sunday, we weren't able to make much use of the kayaks or fire pit which we'd been excited for, but having them as an option was awesome. The beds were incredibly soft, we could have easily shared with more people comfortably, we had a very relaxing weekend away and would recommend it.

Thank you so much for your beautiful cottage! Our family loved it. The area is so pretty-breathtaking really. The cottage is beautifully renovated and adorable. We were not able to go boating this trip, but we definitely hope to be back and to go out on the pontoon boat. There's so much more hiking we would love to do, but our family came to town to visit relatives, and celebrate our dad's 90th birthday, so our time here was focused on that. We were so glad that it was a mere 10 minutes to get to Chelsea and the assisted living where he is staying. Thank you also for the thoughtful welcome gifts! And for the use of portacrib and a few toys for our 8 month old grandson! You guys are awesome, and we hope to be back soon for another visit. Much gratitude! Lauren and Steve and family

Very nice cabin in a quiet area on a small lake. Sherry was very friendly and responsive to our requests. This was the perfect "home away from home" for our little swimming adventure. we'll come back next year if we can.

We wanted a peaceful, relaxing and fun Fall getaway and that’s exactly what we got! The Cottage was everything we asked for- simple and cozy! The sunrise over the lake was gorgeous, coffee on deck started the days nicely and warm fires ended the nights!

This is one of the most well-appointed Airbnbs I have every stayed in, especially for someone who loves to cook! It was also very family friendly, as we had a one year old in tow. It is right on the lake and the view is so peaceful and blue. We came in cold weather so did not experience the water or the busy season, but it was perfect all the same. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was very clean. Everything - furniture, appliances, etc. - were spotless and in good working order. There were spots to store things, so even though there were six of us (including a baby!) it never felt cluttered or messy. Lots of games provided and the attached all season porch was nice for reading or winding down at the end of the day. 11/10 stars!!!

The cottage was great for our purposes over the Christmas holiday. Great views from the windows at the back of the house. The host was very accommodating. I can see where this would be a fun place to be in the summer!

They went far and above their requirements as a host, I made a booking error for the wrong dates and the graciously refunded my full amount, this would have been the second visit to their cottage and it truly is an amazing rental, thank you again Danny

My sister and I had a peaceful long weekend at Fish Tales. It was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the lake. It was fun to take the kayaks out and just RELAX. The cottage was a short drive to the swim race location at Half Moon lake that we were visiting for. If you are looking for a peaceful spot with beautiful views this is for you,

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy lake house! The home is nestled in a beautiful forested area, surrounded by tall trees and the sound of birds in every direction — it felt like our own peaceful retreat in nature. The lake view was stunning, and we loved spending mornings sipping coffee on the porch while soaking it all in. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and very family-friendly, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. Whether we were gathered around the firepit, cooking meals together, or just relaxing with a good book, it was the perfect place to unwind and reconnect. Our host was fantastic — incredibly responsive, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. Overall, a truly special spot for nature lovers and families looking for fun, relaxation, and beautiful scenery. We can’t wait to come back!

Mary was a very nice and gracious host. She was very responsive, provided all items needed at the bnb and even gave us recommendations that we followed up on. The cabin is beautiful and fit 5 adults perfectly. You could easily add a couple more people if needed. We all had plenty of space. Absolutely stunning location- peaceful and beautiful. There is minimal phone/internet service-just a heads up. However, my group found that this allowed for less phone distraction, adding to the peacefulness of the weekend. Fabulous place!

This lake house is such a gem! Modern, bright, beautiful decor and quality amenities. Carrie is a warm and supportive host. She thought of everything to make us feel comfortable and right at home. Well-stocked kitchen had everything we needed and more! Attention to detail in each room. Every shop and restaurant we went to in the immediate area was a pleasure. Highly recommend this property and host!

It was a cute and charming cabin in the woods! It’s quiet and relaxing. Very clean! It is secluded and private but not too far from the larger cities if you want to travel around. We enjoyed our time there as we traveled all over to see family. Thanks Sue and Joe!
