Great location. Less then 10 min walk from beach. Close to good food. Child friendly. Didn’t bring my dog but could have. Overall 10 out of 10 if back in Va would do it again. Thanks for help with creating great memories

This is a gorgeous place to stay in Norfolk Virginia. I hope we can stay there again.

We loved the house; cozy, nicely decorated, with many pieces of original art that really added character. The kitchen is well stocked for those who like to cook. The location right on the water was wonderful, and Nancy provided kayaks, which we took advantage of. Our dog was beside himself with so much room to run. Nancy’s daughter and family live next door, and we spent quite a few hours enjoying conversation and local knowledge with them. We would go back again.

Incredibly peaceful and comfortable. looking forward to returning in warmer weather and for a longer stay. We were seeking a quiet place for renewal and relaxation and the little yellow cottage met all our needs. We stocked up on local seafood from nearby Warsaw to cook, woke up with the birds for breathtaking sunrises and soaked in the amazing hot tub with an incredible view. As a bird geek in training, I had an amazing assortment to watch and enjoyed the views from the dock and the deck each day. We experienced a heavy downpour for a great deal of our stay,but a trip to town and hunkering down with our books, puzzle and more hot tub were the perfect antidote. We might share the space with friends or family next time, as there was plenty of space. However, our trio of 2 humans and our puppy pal might just escape alone again! Thanks for sharing this letter slice of heaven on the "Rivah." We'll be back!

Great stay! We were a group of 6 for which it was perfect! We had a bbq night and the surroundings were so peaceful with beach just a few minutes walk away. Highly recommended for your stay in virginia beach!!

I would have to say that after many Airbnb experiences this was the best. Since there is a high probability of a need for me to be in the area in the future, there is no question that this will be my first choice again. It’s too bad that there are only 5 stars to apply a rating with.

We absolutely loved this cute beach house and surrounding area! The owners have outdone themselves in every capacity! From the quality and nice accommodations to all the extras. Everything was top notch and exceptionally clean. They supplied everything you need for a perfect get away. A lovely, comfortable home and beautifully decorated. The private beach was a short walk away and is also great. Thanks Lisa and John for your quick replies when communicating. They deserve the best review a person can give. We can't wait to return!!!

Absolutely beautiful home. Everything was exactly like the pictures. The weather prevented us from getting to fully enjoy the bay views, but we did get a snippet of how amazing it could be. They had plenty of supplies at the home for our convenience. I would definitely recommend this place to any and everyone.

Kristin's home was the perfect setting for a peaceful family Christmas! It was a great size for my family (11 adults and 2 kids) to stay comfortably. The kitchen is set up nicely for large groups with 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers and 2 fridges. We spent most of our time relaxing in the large dining and sitting areas as well as enjoying bird watching from the backyard (bald eagles!). Kristin is extremely responsive -- even immediately responding to and helping to fix a plumbing issue (on Christmas Eve!). Would highly recommend this place for your next summer or winter getaway!

The area and view are beautiful and the home's decor is welcoming. The home was very comfortable for our family group and had a VERY well-stocked kitchen. The master bed was VERY comfortable as were the rest of the beds. My husband and I slept well. We all felt at home. MJ was very responsive when I had questions and communicated about the property in clear, concise language. The host provided many outdoor recreation opportunities, which included paddleboards, kayaks, and life jackets. There was a nice sized pool but we were visiting out of season so we did not use it. The exercise room downstairs has a lot of equipment. We all enjoyed our time together. Our family is asking to come back again next year. Thanks for a great stay!

Absolutely fabulous experience! We stayed during a very low key time (Christmas+) but were able to find lots of fun things to do (shopping in St Michael’s [don’t miss The Blue Heron for the best caffeine], driving tour of Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, etc.). We got incredible photos during sunrise/sunset, safely walked-ran on the neighborhood roads, enjoyed the fire pit, and thoroughly rested and relaxed. So grateful we chose Jon’s home for 5 days/4 nights of R&R ❤️

Simply beautiful place, from the spotless interior to the breathtaking view. Brittany was the best host I’ve had! She was incredibly friendly and accommodating with check-in, and communicated regularly to make sure all my needs were met—even left a handwritten card! Even through cold and rainy weather it was a beautiful, relaxing retreat with everything I needed and more, including great restaurants right below. Would love to visit again!

This place was perfect. We wanted a relaxing weekend away and Beach, Please delivered! This place has everything you would ever need and everything you didn't know you needed for a fun and relaxing getaway. We hope to come back in warmer weather to take advantage of all the outdoor amenities!!

Overall it was great stay. Laura was ready to accommodate my group of 22 ppl and had ample space. It was quiet and private place and we enjoyed the weather a lot. Clean place

Space was great for our family and larger than depicted in photos. Access to the beach was easy and stunning.

Very clean, nicely decorated, comfortable, very quiet and peaceful with great views. They actually have a well supply kitchen. Living room has plenty of seating and very comfortable. Lots of space. Love the back screen porch use that a lot. Host is very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed sitting on the porch with our coffee in the morning and taking in the sunrise while watching the wildlife and listening to the waves. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to make meals and everything was immaculately clean! Great family time here as we played board games, read and watched movies together. Would love to come back one day!

Very beautiful house. In a very quiet area. Main Street is close with lots of traffic but the house is quiet. House is very comfortable, and well equipped. We stayed for a week and had everything we needed for cooking, doing our laundry. Lots of restaurants near by, not walking distance but short car ride. Several convenience stores, grocery stores and liquor store near by. my family and I were very comfortable and happy staying here. We will definitely book again if he would have us.

Our family enjoyed our weekend at Big Blue. It was special because it was my wife's birthday and there was plenty of family with us. We really liked how the 2nd and 3rd floor are duplicates of each other. It's like 2 different apartments , but we had access to both. The kids on the 2nd floor and the adults on the 3rd. Very clean open spaces. The host were responsive and proactive. We hope to make the Willoughby Spit area a regular vacation spot, very lovely.

What a fantastic place! I came from Pennsylvania to visit with family. Katie’s place was a great spot for them to come visit. We cooked out on the grill and the kids played in the water and on the beach. The house is absolutely gorgeous and is fully stocked with everything you could think of and labeled! The best part was watching the sunrise while sipping a cup of coffee on the covered porch. It was so peaceful. Oh! And of course watching the dolphins play! I really hope we can come back again in the future, we had the absolute best time! Thank-you Katie and Tim for everything!

We booked this beautiful beachfront home for my husband's birthday, and it was perfect. Check-in was seamless, and the breathtaking water view greeted us upon entry. The house was spotless and peaceful, with only the soothing sound of waves. We enjoyed most meals in the sunroom overlooking the water and took advantage of the outdoor seating as the weather warmed. Fawn, a great coffee and breakfast/lunch spot, was just five minutes away. The well-equipped kitchen allowed us to cook fresh seafood from Little River Seafood. Mornings were magical with stunning sunrises, and the nearby beach access was perfect for walks, yoga, and birdwatching. A highlight was Hughlett Point, a hidden nature preserve 30-40 minutes away, leading to a secluded beach with only 11 parking spots. Thank you for sharing your home—it made for a peaceful and unforgettable celebration!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home and the view was spectacular. I recommend the getaway to any and all that need to slow down a little and enjoy life as this house along with its location reminds you that the earth is beautiful, but life moves to fast for us to really appreciate its beauty.
