I had an amazing experience staying at this house. The property was exactly as described it was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location was fantastic because I was looking for a place to unwind. They were incredibly responsive and welcoming, providing great tips for local restaurants and activities. The check-in process was seamless, and I felt right at home throughout my stay. I especially loved the firepit outside. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting and hope to return in the future. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Very peaceful stay!

We booked the River House for an extended stay (over a month) while looking for housing after a job relocation to the area. The scenery was amazing. Lots of songbirds, ducks, and geese always in the area along the river. House was very comfortable. The gentlemen that cares for the house (Chris) is amazing. We had a large tree fall across the road after a rainstorm. He responded within 15-20 minutes with a chainsaw and had the road cleared in quick order. The only non-positive experience we had was with the neighboring property owners. The easement/public road runs through their property along the river. The neighbors apparently werent fond of us beimg there as they added like 4 signs along the road stating "not AirBnB Property, stay off" as aell as hung several game cameras high in the trees on their property. If you can ignore the neighbors, the house, kayaks, and river are a great experience and we would recommend a stay there anytime.

This spotless and beautifully appointed home was so cozy and comfortable, with a wall of windows that invited you to soak in the sunshine and enjoy the views of nature (it's up a hill in a neighborhood with houses close by, but once you're inside, it feels very private). Deb is a great host and an excellent communicator, and her extra touches (plenty of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, oatmeal packs, oil/vinegar, spices, etc.) were so thoughtful. Deb graciously accommodated our request to stay an extra night, as we weren't ready to leave this peaceful place, which speaks volumes about this wonderful and unique getaway.

We enjoyed our stay at Laura's. The house is spacious and a short drive to Harper's Ferry and Charles Town. Recommended!

My husband and I were looking for a peaceful place for Thanksgiving, away from the noise of the city and specifically for a house with a piano, since he likes to play classical music. This place had everything and a lot more. The pictures are accurate. We had fun playing ping pong. The kitchen was fully equipped. We loved the vintage décor particularly of the elephant-themed room with wicker furniture where we had coffee and hot chocolate. While my husband played the piano, I would be in the TV room watching Netflix movies, reading or just doing nothing. I went out to the deck to take a video of the flock of birds flying over the river (so beautiful!) Glancing into the calming river through the windows was so relaxing! It was cold outside, so we mostly stayed in, but drove by Harper’s Ferry and stopped by in Sheperdstown to have brunch. All in all, the perfect vacation! 100% recommended! The communication with Liz was smooth and she provided all the information that we needed.

Cozy weekend at the lake!! We enjoyed relaxing with a fire, sitting on the private dock, and soaking in the beautiful views from the windows. Excellent stocking of essentials in the kitchen!! Felt very ‘at home’ and comfy here, close to Harper’s ferry and other cool towns in WV!! Thank you for letting us stay and being a friendly, well detailed host (: we hope to be back soon!!

We had a lovely stay and will definitely return. The home is directly on the Potomac river with beautiful river views. The home is a split duplex and you have an adorable apartment all to yourself with a wood fireplace, 2 bedrooms, walk in shower, and direct access to the hot tub overlooking the water. You barely notice the upstairs apartment other than the occasional sounds of footsteps above. All tvs are smart tvs with steaming capability. The hosts are very friendly and have excellent restaurant recommendations! This is a hidden gem and a great deal!

This was the perfect place to stay! It was clean very spacious and Colleen was a great host. I’d stay again no hesitation

Our family enjoyed our stay the Mountain Mama property. Communication was great from booking through checkout. The house was big enough for our family of 7 to spread out nicely. There were plenty of books and games to entertain our kiddos. Enjoying the fireplace while watching a family movie was perfect for a cold weekend.

Perfect getaway spot to disconnect. Kids were outside constantly and loved all the space to run around and play. The hosts told the kids they could use their swing set and trampoline which made their stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend. :)

My family and I reached out to Viktar and his team literally at the last minute and they were so accommodating from the beginning. They made sure we had everything that we needed to be comfortable during our stay. Won’t be able to write enough in this short review to express how much we enjoyed our time together there. The house was so cozy and comfortable, perfect if you like indoor/outdoor living and a serene atmosphere. It’s far away from town to feel secluded but only a short drive to nearby stores/restaurants. The children loved the game room with the life sized connect 4 and ping pong table. Everything looked just like the pictures! There is so much to do inside and outside of the house that we didn’t even bother to watch tv our entire stay….but if you choose to the theatre room is super cute! We can’t wait to return and get back in the hot tub and sauna and do some kayaking!

This house was perfect for a girls weekend! I really appreciated the quality finishes. We had everything we needed in the house. Mountain Mama was a wonderful host. I will definitely book with them again!
