As night fell, the stars above were like nothing we’ve ever seen – the Karoo sky was filled with a brilliance that made the world feel still and timeless. This place isn’t just a getaway; it's an experience that touches the heart. Highly recommended for anyone looking to reconnect with nature and relax. Would give it 5/5 without hesitation!

Одно из самых лучших мест, в котором мы с мужем были. Красивая территория, нас встретил помощник Бренды со своей женой, очень милая пара. Все нам рассказали и показали в доме, после того, как мы обустроились, пошли с мужем на прогулку, встретили по дороге зайцев, антилоп, в небе были красивые птицы. Несмотря на то, что дом старинный, в нем был телевизор и его можно было посмотреть) На кухне было все для готовки, также мы заказали еду, она была очень вкусная) Вечером все небо было в звездах, красота) Однозначно рекомендую этот коттедж, для того, чтобы отдохнуть вдали от города. Спасибо за ваше гостеприимство🫶

The location is firstly the highlight of Katherine's place. Nestled in the mountains and surrounded by mountains. Amazing. There are some nice spots you can walk / hike to such as going to the stream or up the mountain. Loved the remoteness, peace, and quiet. The cottage and in general Reedsdell has a lot of history to it There are dogs on the property and it is pet friendly After Barkly East, it's exclusively gravel roads, a high clearance vehicle is necessary

Simply superb! Our second visit and there will be many more. Exquisite location, attention to detail, and a very engaged hosting team. I cant recommend Karoo Ridge highly enough.

This a lovely peaceful place, spotlessly clean and with a nice, safe garden for our dogs to enjoy. There is a pet-friendly restaurant a short walk away or you can call and collect - great food! Anna and Louis were very friendly and eager to make sure our stay was enjoyable. I can highly recommend Farmer's Cottage and will definitely visit again.

This was my second stay at Cora’s cottage, and it felt like coming home. The cottage is well-equipped and private. There are beautiful trails on the farm to walk, hike and run. I enjoyed a swim in the river and listening to the sounds of nature. I’d definitely recommend this for an individual or for a family/friend stay.

This is a hidden gem within the Stormberg. It has all the amenities you can wish for as well as a beautiful view. The cottage is beautifully decorated with a large bathroom. Everything you need is there. Kim is definitely a superhost, communicating with us regularly before, during and after the visit and sent very good instructions to find the route to the cottage. We had milk, tea, coffee and lovely rusks waiting for us when we arrived. The cottage has a beautiful setting overlooking a dam and part of the mountain. We are not fishermen but enjoyed the scenery, the birding both on the farm and the adjacent farm roads. We spent a peaceful old (2021) and new year (2022) at the cottage with only the occasional bird checking in. This is definitely the place to go if you want to rest and enjoy nature. We took long walks on the farm but it definitely also has cycling possibilities. A place to add to your itinerary.
