The perfect relaxing cabin. A short drive from gorgeous wineries and a quick walk to a beautiful hiking trail where we found over 12 mushroom species. Highly recommend this host!

Cozy little place, great to get away from the busyness of the day to day.

What a beautiful cabin close to the Shawnee National forest and numerous other states parks and wilderness areas. We had everything we needed and more. The beds are super comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with appliances and utensils, and the hot tub clean and spacious and oh so relaxing. The outdoor space is pristine, comfortable, and a great place to gather. We'll worth the trip!

This cabin is perfect for a couple’s getaway. Private, peaceful and adorable! We truly enjoyed the coziness of the space, all the decorations and small details pushed it to the next level. Would highly recommend(:

We loved Geloria’s hummingbird cabin! It had all the things we needed and was very private and peaceful. We loved the hot tub and the deck right next to the water. The place was well marked and easy to find. There were lots of thoughtful touches throughout the cabin that made us feel right at home. We would definitely stay there again!

Adams Rock cabin was a great home base for our Shawnee trip! The place looks exactly as pictured/described. We appreciated the Native American decor as well as informative books in the cabin. The location is not super remote, but the large yard was perfect for our kids and dog to play and just enjoy being outside. We particularly enjoyed roasting marshmallows around the fire pit! For others traveling with kids, it is worth knowing that the loft bedroom is up a steep ladder without any particularly good way to block the ladder at the bottom or top. The kitchen was equipped with necessities but not a lot of extras. If you’re planning to pack picnic lunches for your hikes, make sure to bring storage containers! Overall, we had a wonderful stay, appreciated all of Mary’s helpful communication, and really enjoyed exploring a new-to-us part of the country!

This is our second time staying in the Sanctuary Cabin. Once again, it was the perfect stay. Jess has everything you could need already in place. The location is perfect for us. We can get to even the most remote winery in 25ish minutes. The way it tucks into the woods makes for good nature watching and relaxing! There is a Dollar General very close as well. This will be our go to place to stay when we come back! You will not be disappointed!

Stayed to visit our daughter at SIU. It is close to campus, about 10 minutes away. Loved being next to the barn and seeing the animals throughout the day. The house was clean and roomy for the two of us. Loved the screened in porch and deck which was used everyday. Would highly recommend!!

Quaint little cabin in a very quiet area, but close to Carbondale IL. Place was very clean, easy to find and exactly as described. Great place for price! Would definitely stay again.

My family and I love staying at Round Pond Lodging-Eagle's Nest. It is the perfect location for us and everything we need is provided. Patty is an awesome host, makes you feel welcome and at home and is very responsive and accommidating. She even messaged us to make sure we were ok because she noticed we hadn't checked in and were running late. We will definitely be back. Great cabin, location and Host!

We had a really good time & enjoyed our stay! We tried Driver Down, a local restaurant Brittan recommended and it was so good!! Brittan was very nice & helpful!! We will definitely have to come back this summer, and stay longer!! If you’re thinking about booking, DO IT!!!

Had a nice stay at Nikki's cabin with a family for a spring break. We all enjoyed the peaceful surroundings in the wooded area. So close to many lakes and trails! Nikki's place had everything we needed as well as fully equipped kitchen. A snack bar and a coffee was nice extras! We loved wooded detail and spacious south facing patio/porch. Nikki was a caring host and proactive communicator. Thank you for a great stay.

The cabin was exactly what I needed - simple and quiet. Tammy was a wonderful host, always quick to respond and very accommodating.

This is a fantastic cabin getaway! Everything was clean and as described. The bed was comfortable. The wifi went out once, but Gail helped get it resolved quickly!

5/5 stars, lovely peaceful place to stay and easy to find. The nught we stayed the area was under a severe weather and tornado threat and within less than half an hour of checking in the host came and talked to us and gave us an escape plan to go to a safe place if the weather got to bad out since we were staying at the cabin on the lake. They went above and beyond to make sure we would be safe during our stay with the storms coming in. Would definitely stay again!

We loved our stay, it was very cozy on a chilly night. I loved the high ceilings in here, it felt very open and spacious. I’d love to do another’s girls trip here! We especially loved the fireplace and watching old movies on the dvd player.

This is a perfect little cottage near the lake. It had everything we needed, including nice outdoor patio spaces for eating and a big firepit. You can't see much of the lake from the cottage, but it's easy to get to - across a quiet road and down a very long flight of stairs. There's a nice big dock for fishing, swimming, star gazing at night, boating, and just relaxing and enjoying the view (it's a particularly scenic section of the lake because there is no development on the other side of the water - just forest!). We loved having access to kayaks and enjoyed fishing off the dock. Would love to return in summer when we can swim and do even more water activities!

Traveled with my husband, teenage daughter and our puppy. Pet friendly! Super clean and fresh! Hot tub was an attractive amenity. Host is very responsive and the site is just off of major roads so it is easy to find, yet also quiet. Very central to all the must see sites near Shawnee National Forest. Lots of amenities packed into a small space. Great for a long weekend stay!

This place was perfect for a little weekend getaway with my husband. The back deck makes you feel very secluded, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the shower was very nice and of course the hot tub was a nice touch-the stars were beautiful. Great location to hikes and wine trails.

You know a place is great when you book it again before you've even left the property. Jess's home is perfect for a large group, and you can tell there has been a lot of thought put into making sure everyone's needs are met. My friends and I stayed here looking for a weekend to recharge in nature and spend some quality time together, and this was the perfect place to do so. The lodge is very spacious, so folks have plenty of room to spread out, but the space is set up to accommodate everyone hanging out in one space, as well. We loved making big breakfast and dinner meals together in the kitchen, where there was plenty of counter space and all the needed supplies. We had so much fun getting to soak in the hot tub and take in the beautiful views, and you are able to walk to hiking trails from the property itself. I also can't say enough great things about Jess as a host. She was very responsive and so friendly. We felt right at home immediately. We already can't wait to go back!

We loved our time here. Perfect for a couple’s getaway. Easy to find and near Fern Clyffe State Park. We loved the deer who strolled past the back window each day. Everything was clean and well cared for. Highly recommend!

Sampson's Mountain is a beautiful and tranquil place. The lodge is enormous and beautiful! Better than we expected! The grounds are amazing! There were little deer that even came up to see us. Really cool place!
