My family enjoyed our stay. The location was nice for our plans (some hiking at Little Grand Canyon and visiting Carbondale), beautiful view from the home, loved the hot tub (suspect pool would be awesome in summer too). Very clean, plenty of space for our group. Only change I would make is a bigger kitchen table. We will probably return!

Quiet space in a beautiful location. Clean and comfortable with plenty of room for multiple families to both come together and spread out. Well stocked with necessities and the pool is a great amenity!

Loved staying at this location. So close to restaurants and shops and outdoor adventures. Very quiet. Amazing views of stars. Plenty of sleeping spaces. Very responsive and helpful host!

This was a great place. We'd like to try it again in the warmer months. We stayed during a storm and the home was very relaxing.

Wonderful place just what we needed. With our busy schedule we did not get to use all amenities provided to us but it all looks like a lot of fun

Kristine’s house was just as described. The space was great for gathering together to visit and relax. The pool was a great bonus! We would definitely choose this property again when staying in the area.

Dave's place was really great and we had plenty of room for our family, lots of amenities, and he left detailed instructions.

I basically checked off most of the choices in the review. All of them were true. Right from the booking the communication was excellent. Everything else from day one through Allison was more than accommodating. I am not from the area and when impending storm was coming in, reached out to me, asked me if I needed to change and was incredibly flexible, there was a power outage in the area that had nothing to do with them which she immediately handled and communicated with us and gave us options. I needed to extend my stay a couple of times and she could not have been more accommodating. I was in the area for work and if I ever stay there again, I will absolutely use one of her properties , thank you again Allison for you and your team

It was a very peaceful stay. the place had lots of space for everyone to stretch out. the kids loved playing cards and exploring the pond area.

Allison’s place is beautiful with ample space! My husband and I have a hard time traveling with our five kids—there’s never enough beds/space. Allison’s place allowed them their own space and sleeping arrangements. The lake access is a dream! So peaceful with access to canoes—they were super fun! There was more than enough supplies to make our trip a success! When I visit Goreville again, I will try and get this rental again. :)

My wife, friends, and I were in the area for the Tunnel Hill 100. The location of the house was great. Only about 25 minutes from Vienna City Park where the race started. There was plenty of room for all of us. The home was exceptionally clean, and the views of the lake were amazing. Megan was a great host. She quickly answered all of the questions I had and kept in good touch with us. I am considering returning to the race next year. Catching Rays is definitely a place I would return to.

It was a nice getaway with the family. Beautiful view from within the home, and loved having the lake view. Everything was perfect!

It was a great space with beautiful surroundings. We absolutely loved the view from every window in the house. The layout of the house was wonderful with space to play board games, sit by the lake, or visit in the living room- again, with a great view of the lake. Allison was incredibly responsive if we had any questions. The location was perfect for day hiking trips or a visit to Carbondale for pizza. We’d definitely come back.

This was a great spot for our family gathering. Plenty of space for our big group and the kitchen well equipped to prepare and serve several holiday meals. Would love to enjoy the lake on warmer days, so we may plan a trip back in the summer.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Amazing Stay! We had an incredible experience! From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless—the check-in process was smooth, and the home was spotless. The space was exactly as described (if not better!), beautifully decorated, and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect. The little touches, really made us feel at home. Allison was an outstanding host, always responsive and helpful with recommendations for local restaurants and activities. We truly didn’t want to leave! If you're looking for a cozy, stylish, peaceful, centrally located in the Shawnee this is it. We’d absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend! Check out the woods directly behind and follow the bluff to the left until you reach steps that lead up to the top of the bluff. Absolutely AMAZING 👏 🤩 😍 ❤️!
