The home was as described and had what we needed. We like to make all our meals, and the home had all necessary cooking items, although few spices, condiments, etc. Plenty of Kcups were provided. No dishwasher, but cleaning supplies and strainer were provided. The view of Mt. Dessert was beautiful! We traveled specifically to spend time in Acadia, and the location was perfect for that! The home is on a second story above a garage, connected to the main home with another resident. He was friendly and mostly kept to himself. The clothes washer and dryer (detergent provided) were on the main floor. There were several locked rooms, leaving just the bedroom, bathroom, and main living area. It was ample room for 2. Alison was exceptionally responsive and accommodating! We would certainly recommend and would book again!

My Wife and I stayed for 3 nights, what a beautiful scene to wake up to each morning. The Machias River attracts so much wildlife ( Bald Eagles, Osprey, seals, deer and lots of geese that made the Inn a landing strip) and we got to see that every day. Area restaurants are very good as well. We look forward to going back again next year.

This Airbnb was so well thought out. Cozy areas to sit and relax. Benches and chairs were provided for luggage and belongings. The kitchen was very well stocked and we were able to cook easily. There's a desk so I was able to work comfortably. The location is great! Just a block from the Water Street, restaurants, shops, and the brew pub. We really appreciated Lisa's artwork and all of the painted furniture and vintage pieces gave it a great eclectic vibe! Also love the fact that there were plants that made it a very warm and comfortable place to stay. We were only there for three nights and we'll definitely come back again for a longer stay! We highly recommend this peaceful place to stay! Views are amazing and a very comfortable bed and sofas!

What a great place to stay! Loved the location close to Winter Harbor and Schoodic peninsula. There was a beautiful outdoor area to enjoy, complete with fire pit, comfy chairs, grill, etc.. Stargazing at night was an added treat. The space was super welcoming, homey and fully equipped. They thought of every detail to make the guest experience easy, comfortable, and fun. I truly felt at home. Thank you for such a great stay and all the superb communication.

The loft did not disappoint. It’s in a perfect location and was easy to locate. The loft was very clean and organized. I’m very picky when it comes to cleanliness of a location and this was spotless. Every room was very clean and there was no clutter. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were spotless and big. This location is walking distance to everything in the Bar Harbor area. I had question for Melissa and Dana and they responded within five minutes. They gave us clear instructions on checking in and out. They also provided a list of their favorite restaurants and places of interest in the area. The private parking space was HUGE! This allowed us to park after coming back from Acadia Park because parking in the area is difficult. Overall we had an awesome experience and cannot say enough good things about Melissa and Dana. We’re thinking about coming back to Bar Harbor in the summer 2025 and we would DEFINITELY rent this location again!

Great spot! Loved being close to the park and downtown with plenty of parking for two cars. On a busy road but inside the suite was quiet and couldn’t hear traffic. Kevin and Donna were very friendly and welcoming when we arrived and you could tell they take a lot of pride in this place. Would definitely recommend!

The apartment was very clean and comfortable and Ann was super easy to communicate with before and during our stay. As others have noted, while the distance to the Bar Harbor business district is technically walkable, the roads have no shoulders, sidewalks, or street lights so walking after dark would not be a good idea. That said, we had no problem with finding parking (in mid/late October).

It was our second time staying at this house. We absolutely love it!!! We would stay again.

First time visiting ME so took time to look at all options before finding Stacy's private, quiet, dog-friendly home, situated close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The surrounding is so peaceful, we even had turkey and deer sightings! And the neighbor dog came by every morning. House was perfect size for party of 4 with a dog but you can have more guests. The house was generous with kitchen amenities for home cooks, from spices, large pots for lobsters and crackers for your seafood feast if you so wish. We all loved the spacious island table for chatting and prepping. But little touches were appreciated as well like the wild flower arrangement and bowls for pets. Note, for disbled guests, there's about 5 steps to the side entrance. Wish we stayed longer!

What a beautiful location. The view from the dining room table is priceless. So peaceful, next to zero boat noise. Beautiful islands out front to observe the tides rolling in and out. We were there while our home was being destroyed by Hurricane Milton in FL. it was the peaceful place my wife and child needed knowing what we would be facing when we returned home. I cant say enough how this location just gives you a sense of peace and tranquility. We also had the privilege of being at Bella Vista during KP scale level 8.5 Aurora Borealis. This was a bucket list type of thing. We sat outside by the fire pit for 3 hours as the sky danced brilliant reds, greens, purples and whites. It was such a rare gift.

Our stay was absolutely perfect. Robard did everything he could to make us feel welcome. We had a few questions given that we were visiting in the off seasoning and he always responded quickly and helpfully. His place was clean and cozy!

The house was perfect for our family. It was within walking distance to “Dinner” a terrific restaurant and centrally located for our Acadia hike exploring. Pete and Jen were very responsive and helpful.

We loved our stay here! Jana was very accommodating for 2 infants, helping us get extra supplies to make travel to the location easier. This location is perfect. Everything is walkable and you don’t have to worry about parking. Highly recommend. Easily the best air bnb we have stayed at.

Awesome little place! perfect for a week stay. kitchen utensils are slightly lacking if you like/need to diy food but the rest of the experience was great!

We had a comfortable stay at Matsa’s in Bar Harbor. It’s walkable to all restaurants and amenities, and so close to the main attractions of Acadia National Park. The place itself was great for our group. We had two toddlers and they were also comfortable. The beds were comfy. Kitchen is well stocked, we had breakfast at the townhome all three days and we felt like after our regular grocery we had everything else to enjoy our meal— great collection of dishes and silverware, basic spices, and oil. If you enjoy coffee, get some fresh one, they have a machine to brew. The host is responsive and easy to communicate. If we come back to Bar Harbor, we’d love to stay again at Matsa’s.

Everything was as expected. The location is excellent, and the place itself is only a couple of years old and well-maintained. Matsa was great to communicate with and helped us make the stay memorable.

This condo was easy to find, very clean and easy to get in to. While it was foggy the first few days, the sun did come out and the views were glorious from the deck! We saw eagles soaring. Felicia was very responsive to our questions/requests. The kitchen was well equipped, heat worked wonderfully and the beds comfortable. We will recommend this unit to friends and family.

We loved our stay here. My husband and I came with our two children and we loved the prolixity to restaurants and downtown. The YMCA is right behind the house and offers visitor passes for $10. There’s also a playground that our kids loved. The home was super clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We will stay here again next time we visit Bar Harbor!

Beds and furniture were comfortable, it was clean and basic amenities were all stocked well! Great location for walking into downtown Bar Harbor, but also great location for driving into Acadia National Park without having to go through downtown!
