I enjoyed my stay in the house very much. It is comfortable with a spacious living area and good sized bedrooms. The water heater is hot within 15 minutes and holds the heat all day. The internet was reliable. Most of all, it is a lovely quiet compound with a sociable covered seating area. Very good food is now available, cooked by the staff manager. The garden below is a delight as the trees are full of birds and the morning sun shines through the banana plantations that surround it. The staff and family owners are outstanding in their care and good company.

Perfekt getaway för dig som vill uppleva Ugandas natur, kärlek och stillhet tillsammans med familj eller vänner. Daniela tog emot oss med öppna armar och vi kände oss som hemma direkt, vi hade möjligheten att vara där under Jul. Vi badade, besteg stora kullar, grillade, allt inom 200 meters räckhåll från gården. Drömmigt! Kommer definitivt komma tillbaka dit, hur ska man inte?

This is an amazing house with an absolutely stunning view over the beautiful lake and hills! The house is very large and well set up: there is a large communal living area and kitchen, huge terrace and several bed- and bathrooms. Two families can easily share. Christopher the housekeeper was very helpful and set up a fire for us on the first night. We had a wonderful time and I would be very happy to return! One thing we were disappointed about: The jetty to the lake was broken in parts, which made it difficult to get into and out of the lake. I suggest future guests who want to use the lake for swimming check with the house owners if the jetty has been repaired. Thanks!

Es war von Anfang bis Ende ein sehr schönes Erlebnis eine woche in diesem atemberaubenden cottage zu verbringen. wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt und hatten viel ruhe in einem so lauten land. das ausruhen und alle tollen ausflüge in die umgebung werden wir nie vergessen. alles war sauber und hat funktioniert Godeth und Chris konnten uns wo immer wir Unterstützung brauchten helfen. Selber kochen sowie günstiges oder teures essen in näherer Umgebung gibt es auch. *****

Rayka is such an amazing human being and a great host. Stayed two nights and loved it! The cabin is private and peaceful and has an amazing view of the lake; it is breathtaking. Rayka was very communicative and gave us directions on how to get to the property; she was super helpful, too. She gave recommendations for restaurants to eat at, things to do, and places to visit. She is very friendly and always ensures her guests are cared for. We had the chance to learn about Toonda and visit, too, which was great; everyone was warm, and you could feel such a sense of family. We even got an impromptu drumming lesson and played with the drumming group; it was so much fun! Our stay was comfortable, and we felt at home; we spent a lot of time admiring the view, enjoyed meeting kids and resident artists at the cultural center, had great conversations with Rayka, and even joined her and her friends for a bonfire! We loved our time and will definitely come back.

My partner and I have been coming to Uganda for long stays over the last few years, and this was most wonderful and authentic Airbnb experience so far. JPs stylish cabin is nestled inside a community that feels very peaceful, surrounded by nature and with a wonderful view of the Rwenzori mountains. yet you can get to the city of Fort Portal in a 15-20 minute boda or car ride. Meeting JP was also one of the highlights of this stay. He is very warm, friendly and great to chat to. He is very responsive and quickly available. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and pleasant. When we informed JP we would be working remotely in the cabin during our 2 week stay he quickly installed a WiFi router and upgraded the solar electricity installation to accommodate us. Highly recommend booking this place during your visit to Fort Portal for a truly pleasant and unique stay!

Jojo is a very warm and welcoming host. Her place was easy to find and she greeted us when we arrived. She also lives in the house and she made us a delicious breakfast in the mornings which filled us up for the whole day. She has a beautiful garden which we enjoyed sitting in and picking gooseberries from. She even sent my friend home with some flower seeds. Overall, a comfortable, quiet and welcoming place if you want to feel right at home in Fort Portal!

We had a wonderful stay in fort Portal. Jennifer was really friendly and helpful. The house is nice and clean, we loved sitting outside.
