Best experience I had with Airbnb. Yuki’s place is great, traditional Japanese space and felt like home. The hosts are amazing, they picked us up at the station and gave helpful instructions. If you’re planning to visit Naoshima island this place is really convenient, close to the ferry and a amazing place to take a time to relax during your trip to Japan. Thanks Yuki for the amazing experience! ❤️

The house Bando Shoten is an exquisite expression of Noriko's design vision, in which the spirit of indigo is woven throughout into the fabric of a beautiful traditional Japanese house. Etsuko is a living treasure and great repository of knowledge regarding the cultivation, fermentation and meaning of indigo and its place in the larger scheme of life. Iwamoto is a wonderful host, who collected us from the station and translated for us, and helped us by anticipating and guiding us to what we needed in Yoshinogawa. The spaces are large, gracious, and filled with fascinating objects. This was the most immersed in Japanese life we have felt during our time here. It is a home full of history and art. The town is quiet and off the beaten track, but is home to the marvelous Awagami paper factory, another treasure in this enchanting corner of Japan. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing time at the guesthouse, Meg’s attention to detail and warmth was wonderful. Our stay on Teshima island was fantastic from start to finish, Meg was really helpful in suggesting places to see, helped us with our bike rentals and the ferry schedule. Thank you!

I highly recommend staying at Noriko's house. It was the best experience of my trip to Japan. I felt at home with my dear and sweet Kamecha, always very kind teaching me her knowledge about indigo. Naoki was always very kind and helped me a lot with a problem I had with my car. The house has a very authentic Japanese style with good taste in decoration and many antique pieces. Very cozy and comfortable. Noriko was always very helpful and kind with messages as she was in Tokyo. Just five minute far by car there’s an amazing onsen with a view to the river and waterfall. I hope to come back there soon as they are like my family in Japan.

入るや否や囲炉裏が素敵でした。囲炉裏で食べるすき焼きは少食の両親もお肉が柔らかく良質で食欲が増しました。 天井が高く昔ながらの佇まいに日本人ながら感動しました。 床もピカピカにされていて 布団もベッドもふかふかで気持ちよく寝れました。 トイレまでの廊下にもセンサーライトが足元にあったので安心して進む事が出来ました とても広くて部屋も沢山あるので電灯のSwitchを探すのに苦労しました。Switch自体は発光してたんですが。 ハーゲンダッツ🍨や水やコーヒーその他の温かい飲み物もバラエティ豊かで近所にお店はありませんでしたが問題なかったです。 宿泊施設への地図は分かりやすかったのですが、初めてなので迷いましたが、駐車場はそのまままっすぐ進むので直ぐ行けました。 慣れてしまえば大した事ないので囲炉裏に惹かれてまた、リピートも良いなと思いました。

住宅街にあり、アクセスする道が少し狭いことを除けば、安価で快適に過ごすことができ、とても良かった。また、高松市で宿泊する時は利用したい。

리쓰린공원 근처에 위치한 숙소입니다. 근처 지하철역이나 상점가로 도보로 이동할 수 있었고, 호스트분이 영어로 설명이 가능하셔서 편하게 묵을 수 있었습니다. 다음 다카마쓰 여행때도 이 숙소에 묵고싶습니다.

En famille avec nos 3 enfants, c’était parfait en plus avec une place de parking pour la voiture de location. Sans voiture la gare la plus proche est à 2 minutes à pied.

Stayed at Himawari for one night before continuing onwards within Shikoku. I walked over from Chuo Park which is a stop for the Airport Limousine and Intercity Bus. The apartment was clean and good and would come back again. I'll be staying again but in another unit for a longer stay.

This spot was exactly what we needed & wanted for our vacation. Quiet, relaxing, absolutely beautiful view and a clean, comfy home! The large windows offer great views of the water, the big bathtub offers a great place to relax, and the beds were very comfortable. Spacious home too, which was great for our kids to stretch out in. It didn’t have a TV, but that was a blessing in disguise. Only about a 15 min drive to the Main Street and less than that for a great park, shrine and hiking.
