Akira's home was exactly as described. We found it great in terms of location (proximity to airport and grocery, etc.) and the place was stocked well beyond our expectations, with easy to follow labels as a non-Japanese speaking person. The place was perfect for me, my wife, and our infant. We appreciate the extra effort they made to help our infant be comfortable by providing bedding and a child seat for the kitchen table! Thank you again for the wonderful stay!

Koji's place was one of my favourite places I've been to, and he was an amazing host. He had prepared so many amazing snacks for us, provided us with information about the best places in town, and was super easy to communicate with. The Airbnb is super conveniently laid out and comes with a full kitchen. Both beds feature an ocean view and I enjoyed waking up with it a lot. The built-in onsen tap was amazing too and the location is perfect for exploring the Eevee manholes and going to the black sand bath. I hope I get to stay here again in the future!!

Absolutely stunning space and location. Beautiful views, inspiring interior design, comfortable beds. Lots of helpful amenities including gear available for use such as camping headlamps and snorkel masks. And a wonderfully helpful host who helped us navigate when we were delayed for our car rental pickup. Wish we could have stayed longer. Hoping to return in the future.

Yes, it’s right on the beach. And yes it feels very private as there are only two small hotels around on other sides of the beach. Most busy there were something like 20 people on the whole beach. Nice! The beach is sand with small pebbled and dead coral. So it’s not just a sandy beach like some othear beaches at Amami, even ones very close by car. This was not an issue for us. Snorkelling is great and also easy even for smaller kids as there are no waves and some coral is really very close. We managed even with our youngest 4,5year old kid. House is nice, AC working very good if needed. Nothing to complain about. Communication with the host ok. Snorkelling gear we had some and we rented some at Isola blue cafe 3min by car. There is a parking space for 1 car. Would be happy to stay again. Lots of crabs around the beach and the house.

Loved the place was perfect for our week stay on our honeymoon. Really enjoyed being right in the beach, great snorkeling, and saw many sea turtles. House was beautiful and had everything we needed.

This is an amazing house directly on the beach. It was by far the best rental of our entire Japan trip. As a matter of fact, it was the best Airbnb rental we have had over the past years. Everything was there with clear instructions. It was much better than the pictures. Ideal for our family of 6 from the Netherlands. Highly recommended! It is only a few steps to an unspoiled sand beach, surrounded by a beautiful rocky landscape. It’s a short 10 minute drive to an excellent Onsen, and within an hour there are many things to do and see (for example, the Samurai Armor factory, Samurai residences, a Satsuma pottery village, Japanese gardens, etc.) as well as some great restaurants and stores. We definitely will be back as soon as we have the opportunity. Thank you so much Michiyo for your fantastic service!
