Kaikōura District : locations de vacances en bord de mer

We stayed here for 2 nights in our South Island road trip hoping to see whales. Sadly we didn’t see any this time. We had torrential rain and it was cold. But… we loved the town and this cute period villa. House was cosy warm and comfortable. We had a fab dinner at The Whaler and even better at the Pier. We had wanted to go to Nins bins but was too wet. Highlights were the shops, the coffee (excellent coffee right next door!) and the Kent fireplace inside the lounge. Thank you!!

Absolutely wonderful! Beautiful location in walking distance to a lovely trail! Very nice accommodation! Raylene was so very kind!!!! She was wonderful with communicating and very accommodating when we accidentally left something behind and went back to retrieve it. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you Raylene!!!!

We had a lovely overnight stay at Raylenes, the place was clean and tidy, comfy beds, helpful host, and a great location to watch the storm roll in over the jetty. thanks!

A spacious, clean house. The bed was very comfortable.

We stayed here while undertaking day activities in Kaikoura. Such a beautiful location. Sunrises and early morning dolphin spectacles were a real treat. Comfortable beds and a neat interior. Only downsides were 0 drinkable water onsite. So, make sure you bring bottled water for drinking and brushing your teeth. Otherwise, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come again!

We had an amazing time at Lou’s place! Really peaceful setting with a spectacular view, but still close driving distance to Kaikoura town for whale watching and other activities. It’s a beautiful space, well equipped kitchen and very cosy! We had an issue with an alarm going off and Lou was very quick to get it sorted, thanks for such a lovely stay!

Beautiful location with stunning views of the mountains and sea. Cosy accomodation with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We had a surf lesson with David while we stayed which was amazing. David's communication was great and he was very accomodating with our check-out time. Highly recommend this stay!!

Beautiful secluded space with lots of personality. We had the bad luck of being there during torrential rainfall so we weren't able to take advantage of the lovely outdoor surrounds, but nevertheless we stayed cosy inside riding out the weather. Tessa and Korey were very friendly and easy to communicate with.

Te Ora is a beautiful luxurious place to stay. The apartment was warm, spotlessly clean and so comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches and amenities like condiments and spread, fruit, milk etc. the outlook was simply stunning with uninterrupted sea views showcasing mesmerising sunsets and sunrises. It’s so close to the fabulous Pier Hotel (bookings essential) which you should try at least once during your stay.

Great house, good location!

We loved the location of the cottage. Lovely garden, fresh flowers inside, so quiet and walkable along the beach to the Pier Hotel for a lovely meal. Carolyn met us and was able to give suggestions for meals. Very good value. I would certainly recommend it over a hotel
