We felt right at home from check in until departure. Shanika place is immaculate, an haven to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. Spotless clean, high speed internet, hot water, and well equipped kitchen. Shanika is very detailed and provided all the information I needed for my arrival. It was a seamless process. Warmest welcome from Chaminda and Velu. They were so accommodating, we didn’t feel like guests more like family at home. Had the pleasure of meeting her mum and a lovely treat on Sunday morning. Experienced coconut plucking and drank fresh coconut juice for breakfast. Was an epic experience waking up birds chirping and enjoying a cup of coffee in the stunning garden. I highly recommend Shanika place. Thank you so much for making our stay pleasant, comfortable and so memorable.

It was one of the most wonderful vacation trips. We had a vacation with my husband and two children aged 11 and 16. The owner of the Dharshana house is a magnificent man. He was always in touch and answered all questions. The house is located almost on the shore of the Indian Ocean in 1 min walk. All the amenities were available. All necessary household appliances are present in the house. Especially the washing machine helped us out, as children often dirty things and they could be quickly refreshed. Dharshana and his wife were very kind and welcoming. In addition, they organized a trip for my family to the elephant nursery and the nine-arch bridge, we visited the highest waterfall and got acquainted with monkeys. The children were delighted. Our family has become friends with Dharshana and his wife and we continue to communicate. We are glad that we have friends in Sri Lanka and we will definitely come back to them again.

We are a group of 13 pax interior designers from Malaysia to visit Sri Lanka. Benjamis’s estate - the Nisala Arana is a hidden gem that we found at Bentota area! From before booking until check out, the whole process is so smooth and I was being rest assured everything will be taking care and Benjamin’s team proved it with their action. We were welcomed with cold towels and welcome drinks, great smile from chef Shan and the team, not to mention the perfectly clean room, swimming pool and the well maintained estate with swimming pool that come with bicycles. As there aren’t a lot of restaurant options so Benjamin offered us could get their in house chef to prepare breakfast and dinner for us and that is another best decision we made! Thank you for making our stay so memorable! It is definitely one of the highlight of our trip and we have really good private time to chill and bond in the estate. If you are in the Bentota, do book this estate!

My girlfriend and me spent lovely 2 weeks in this house. The house itself is really great, with fantastic design, high ceilings with fans in all rooms, exactly as in the pictures. The beach is few minutes walk from the house. Christina helped organize the airport transfer as well, we were welcomed by Shani, Christina's brother, which lives in the house next door. Shani gave us really helpful advices regarding where to go, where to eat, etc. His wife even prepared traditional lunch for us one day. The village and location is perfect to really feel authentic local experience and that's what we exactly wanted. Cheers!

Henry and everyone at Villa 80 was extremely lovely and welcoming. The place is a great find, really good location, amazing pool, the list goes on and on. We were visiting for a friend's wedding and was so glad Henry could accommodate us. Would highly recommend and return. Thank you Henry!

After a long flight, we spent a relaxing few days at the villa. The villa itself was super clean and provided us with a massive space to relax and enjoy our time in Sri Lanka. We enjoyed spending time in the pool and jacuzzi, overlooking the beautiful lake. The villa staff scheduled a boat tour of the Bolgoda lake for us. The boat picked us up directly from the villa, so we didn't have to drive anywhere. They gave us a beautiful tour of the Bolgoda Lake, which is the largest natural lake in Sri Lanka. There are also other day trips and excursions (taking you to famous Sri Lankan attractions) which can be arranged through the villa staff. We felt very safe, especially during the coronavirus pandemic, as the villa provided a large space where we could spread out, while still being close to Colombo. The villa staff was very kind and helpful. The villa manager was able to arrange food and a driver for us during our stay. The food was delicious and authentic, being sourced from a local restaurant. I would highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a calm, relaxing, and memorable stay in Sri Lanka.

My family had 5 nights in this delightful house which was a perfect antidote to 10 days of rushing around the island of Sri Lanka. It was so relaxing and greatly benefited from having private staff who dealt with everything we could possible have wanted. There is a private chef who went out of his way to prepare whatever we asked for, 3 meals a day if needed. He only charged us for the ingredients required to prepare those meals which included a range of seafoods (e.g. huge prawns and seer fish), fresh fruit and very tasty Sri Lankan main dishes and deserts - nothing was too much trouble and he should be justly proud of his cooking skills, some of the best meals we tasted on our trip. They happily took us out on the tuk-tuk to local shops and will arrange local tours but we were "toured out" by the time we got there. The pool is fantastic (and huge!) and the grounds are constantly maintained by "Uncle". I cannot say anything but positive things, but do bring the bug sprays!

Our stay at Villa 171 in Aluthgama was nothing short of amazing. The property is a lovely retreat with all the amenities you could wish for and impeccably maintained. What truly made our visit unforgettable, however, was the warmth and generosity of our hosts. Shashika was not only incredibly helpful but also inspired us with his fascinating travel stories. Even more special was his brother, Babi—a genuine gem. From lending us a scooty and guiding us through mangrove trips and snorkeling adventures to assisting us in picking out thoughtful gifts for our families, Babi went above and beyond, making us feel like part of the family. We left Sri Lanka with hearts full of gratitude and fond memories, and we’re already planning our next visit just to reconnect with these wonderful hosts and experience the magic of Villa 171 again. Back in India, we miss you both dearly—please come visit us, and let us have the honor of hosting you next time!
