This place is an absolute hidden gem! Tucked away in the middle of nowhere, it offers complete privacy and peaceful surroundings—just what we needed to unwind. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. We enjoyed cooking some of our own meals, while the lovely village family treated us to some delicious home-cooked dishes as well. Bala, the manager, was an absolute sweetheart, always warm, kind, and smiling. We’re already looking forward to coming back whenever we need a break from our busy Colombo life!

We had a really nice experience in this AirBnB. The owner and his brother were really kind and helpful! It’s even bigger than on the photos and has a nice view and very calm. You should know that there can be some insects like ants or mosquitos since it is directly surrounded by nature, which was no problem for us :)

We stayed when visiting Kandy. It is a bit of a drive out of Kandy but more peaceful and quiet with a beautiful view. So we thought it is worth it. Also not far from the botanical gardens. We also enjoyed delicious Sri Lankan breakfast - recommend trying the homecooked food! Achala and his family are very nice and welcoming.

Wow! This place is incredible, if you love golf you’ll be in heaven. I’ve never played at a more friendly club ever! The members are so welcoming and we made some awesome friends here that we will keep in touch with. Alan is a great host and did even more than required we feel really privileged to have met such wonderful people. His property is amazing, you won’t be disappointed, along with his care taker and house keeper we felt relaxed, safe and well looked after. Our 10 day stay here will be hard to beat, we can’t wait to come back!

We had a lovely 1 night at Upul’s place. We didn’t want to stay in Kandy as we wanted more peace so found Upul’s place just a bit further south. The house is beautiful and will only continue to get better as they are in the middle of building a roof terrace as well! We loved the minimalist style decor against the beautiful vibrant green views out of the window. Saw lots of lovely birds from the terrace and watched an amazing thunder storm roll in. There a shops and a couple of family style restaurants walking distance but mostly this is a quiet, more remote area if you don’t have your own vehicle. Everything was clean. The address is difficult to find but Upul will come and find you on the road to follow him in. Would recommend !

Candy Home is a perfect stay in Kandy and Gayan really is such a kind man. I asked him questions regarding my travel plans and he was very supportive. I felt so at home I booked another night... If you fancy some wonderful food there is a great vegetarian restaurant on the left when walking to the bus station. Their food is absolutely gorgeous and I went twice during my stay in Kandy and loved their kindness and generosity..

Our family (2 adults 2 kids) stayed with Chitra and also took her cooking class. Chitra, her husband and daughter were are lovely hosts. The apartment was private and located on the bottom floor of the residence. There is a suoermarket and take away restaurant (very popular with locals) a few blocks away. Not much else in walking distance that i saw. If you do plan to really cook in the unit, you will need to alert Chitra as just the basics are on hand (this seemed to be common in Sri Lanka). The cooking lesson included a meat, a veg, a dahl and a fruit curry. All delicious. I think we would have preferred a more hands-on session but we were battling some travel fatigue (especially with our youngest)....so my suggestion would be to coodinate with Chitra on how much participation you want to have. We didnt have time to do the market visit.

这是我整个斯里兰卡行程住的最有情调的房子了！到的时候刚好是落日时分，站在大露台上可以看到灿烂的夕阳太阳缓缓落下！晚上对面的山上灯火辉煌，我们在躺椅上抬头可见看到满天的星星，简直不要太美！房间超级大，无敌干净，当然还有更加热情加热心的房东，开车带我们去逛超市！我们还在超大厨房做了晚饭和早饭。推荐给所有小伙伴，这就是feel home. This is a highly recommended place to all the friends. You can see the sunset here，you can see the bright lights in the evening,you also can see the stars in the sky. The room is big and clean. The host is hospitable.This is a gorgeous place.

Felt right at home. Peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle. The place is ideal for a couple or a single traveler. Pro tip if you take the train go to Kandy and use Uber or Pickme to the location. The Peradeniya Station is closer but harder to hail a ride. I would definitely come back for a visit.

We had two wonderful days in Kandy. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Rasika’s janitor, who picked us up and brought us to the apartment. He prepared a delicious breakfast for us and organized a wonderful tour around Kandy at a very fair price. The next day, he arranged a Tuk-Tuk driver for us at a very reasonable price, who took us to Sigiriya and Dambulla early in the morning. The apartment itself is beautifully located in the hills of Kandy and is easily and affordably accessible by Tuk-Tuk (300 LKR). The view is breathtaking. We were very happy, and I can only say that Rasika’s janitor did everything to make us feel comfortable and ensure that we were able to get around easily.

Beautiful place. Maintained very well and tastefully furnished. Had a very relaxed, comfortable stay, felt right at home. Super host!

Individual rooms in a modern new apartment on the upper floor of a medical building. New furnishings, bedding and drapes. Very clean and comfortable space. Ideal for individuals and families. Dileep, his family and staff are extraordinary kind and helpful and also friendly. Dileep actually drove me to the bus stop and waited with me till the bus to Vavuniya showed up. Great value for the money.
