Beautiful home with a large spacious backyard for my dog. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful with friendly neighbors. I was alone with my dog and felt very safe. The house was equipped with all I needed and more. Very welcoming. Huge TVs in all the rooms. Ami was very friendly and made sure I was able to check in effortlessly. Excellent host and the perfect place to stay! 10/10 recommend! Will absolutely stay again when passing through the area.

My family enjoyed staying at Ami’s place. It was peaceful and serene. When I booked I didn’t realize it was a duplex (my fault ). I wasn’t sure we would all fit comfortably when we arrived, but I was wrong. We had a great time and fit perfectly. I highly recommend staying at this place and I would come back if I am ever in the area again.

Great place! We loved the layout of the house. Plenty of room to spend time together or in private. This was very important to us because we had 3 families with small children and there was enough room for big kids to play while the little ones took a nap. The host is great, she was very proactiv. Hope to spend some time in the house during the summer because the river is beautiful.

If you are looking for an easily accessible, but quaint, cozy, and somewhat rustic accommodations then Dawn‘s place is highly recommended! She was an amazing host. Very friendly, responsive, and understanding. And the peaceful views of her little cabin by the river made everything more than worth it.

Ami’s place in Manteno is like having your own little one story duplex to call home for however long you’re in need of a comfy comfy place to stay. I immediately felt at home, not only in her home but in all of my communications with both Ami and Steve. It’s apparent how important the comfort, cleanliness, and safety of their guests accommodations are. They were super helpful with local recommendations on more than one occasion. Very responsive and very friendly. Their little one story end unit on a small a cul-de-sac had every creature comfort and then some. And it’s within walking distance to downtown Manteno which is friendly and charming as well. Highly recommended!

My family had a wonderful stay ! Actually my son, said the bed was so comfortable he didn't want to get up ! Love that they had a Christmas tree up ! It's the little things ! This our third stay at JIm and Maggie's place , 1st 2 stays at different location, both were perfect! Thank you !

The location was perfect for my wife and I. It fit all of our needs Great view of the river. Relaxing and tranquil. Great host. Couldn't ask for anyone better. Always with a quick response to any question that may be asked. We would definitely choose this for a future stay.

Great hosts.. very responsive to our needs. We were there for a family funeral and when we arrived there was a wonderful sympathy addressed to our family. So thoughtful really. Home was also great… accolades

The River House is a real treat. We loved our stay there and Rhiannon was a very responsive and friendly host. We had everything we needed and being right on the Kankakee River was a bonus. The decor in the house is really cute and stylish. The beds were comfy and the shower was nice and hot with great water pressure. We felt right at home.

Felt just like home, the host was very responsive, and the kitchen had everything I needed for family dinners! Love the place and will definitely be back!
