A little more rural Hawaii, but was great for taking a break and getting away from the touristy areas. If you want to stay where there is tonsssss to do (near snorkeling, big city) this may not be the place for you. However if you want to hang out in a beautiful place with a really local feel, this was PERFECT! Highly recommend going to drum circle sundays across from Kehana Beach.

If I could give a 6 out of 5 stars I would have given. This is one of the best airbnb experiences I ever had. Greg and Howard are amazing hosts and super responsive. Every time I visit big island I hope to stay at their place. The place is just stunning.

We stayed 4 days here with extended family in the smaller home on the same property and it was great. The kitchen was well stocked, there was plenty of space for our family of 5 (larger group was 10 total) to spread out. The best part was the beach across the road with good snorkeling (stronger currents so be careful) and lagoon with turtles. Plenty of outdoor gear to borrow- SUP, kayaks, small boogie boards, water shoes and snorkel/fins. Would definitely stay here again.

Janice was so helpful and fully detail on the house. The place is perfect and beautiful. To wake up to the sunrise and the crashing of the waves you will get a peaceful sleep and wake up full energized. This is one place you want to stay and worth every $$$$!!!!

Great place, literally paces from a BEAUTIFUL lagoon and beach filled with turtles and fish. Nice quiet road dotted with 4 or 5 beaches/parks, and about a 3 mile drive to the shops/grocery stores to keep the kitchen stocked. Also had a French press so we could enjoy our fresh Kona coffee every day.

I was there with my boyfriend for the week. The location was great! Within walking distance g distance to great restaurants and the best farmers market I’ve ever been to. The views are absolutely stunning. Watching the sunrise in the morning was so beautiful. We felt right at home. I would definitely stay there again! Thank you so much Carla and Joe! It was a little slice of heaven there.

Beautiful home and wonderful host. We had everything we needed or could ask for. Mari was a perfect host answering any questions, providing many local recommendations and even met us at checkin to show us her home. The view was magnificent, opening the doors in the morning and sipping on coffee on the deck watching the sun rise was my daily ritual. It was a nice surprise to have chairs and snorkeling equipment available to us. Grocery and Walmart minutes away for quick pickup items. The must see sights were just 10-20 minutes away. We visited the caves, snorkeling in the bay, national park and the gardens.

Very beautiful home and lots of room for many people to stay. Host is very responsive with any questions/concerns. Very clean as well with lots of things you may need such as beach towels, cooler, water toys etc. Location is very private as well if that's what you're looking for. Just fyi it is ocean front but you cannot get to the ocean from location in case you are looking for that. You can see whales if you look closely which was very cool! Overall great stay for our first time using Airbnb!

Suzie and her husband were wonderful hosts during our stay. Their AirBNB is such an amazing place! Tucked into a quiet neighborhood, this “private resort” has the cutest little bedroom and kitchenette area full of charm and a unique style. The pool and surrounding space is well-maintained and as beautiful as the pictures. The hot tub is a great place to watch the stars with even more privacy as the tall areca palms separate you from the rest of the property. We can’t wait to visit again someday!

We visited Hilo for 4 days and our stay was wonderful. The city is beautiful and the house was perfect for our needs. The house was very clean, and Kasey was responsive and friendly. Kasey even left a welcome note for us with cookies, hot chocolate mix, and local coffee for us to enjoy. We had a wonderful vacation and we would love to come again.

I have stayed in a lot of Airbnb accommodations. This condo is the best. It it's perfect for one or two people it they aren't sharing beds. I love sitting on the balcony and watching the waves. I have been here multiple times and I am very comfortable here. Restaurants, market, and beaches are close and easy to access. I love staying here. Thank you!

Sonja and Alex are exemplary Airbnb hosts! They are thoughtful and attentive. We could not have asked for more! If you are going to the Big Island, do yourself a favor and stay in this beautiful oasis. My husband and I had an amazing time, Sonja and Alex left chocolates and fresh island fruits in our space and made us feel 100% at home. Future visits to Hawaii (big island) will be spent here. Wow. This is an amazing home in a gorgeous, quiet, forested location. We didn’t feel crowded at all, and we had six friends enjoying the house for several days! A great deal, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully curated inside/outside spaces. We were a bit surprised by how the 2018 road closure from S Point affected this area, and Pahoa in general, making it a long drive from any activities. Matt was friendly, responsive, and everything was clear and easy to understand. We’re so grateful!

Handy location for visiting Volcano National Park and east coast points of interest. A quiet restful place replete with kitties and ducks. The fresh fruit courtesy of our friendly host David was outstanding. The low key funky vibe contrasts sharply with the Kona side tourist scene two and a half hours away by car. If you’re there Wednesday evening, Uncle Robert’s is not to be missed. 🤙🏽

We enjoyed our stay. Beautiful ocean view. We even heard the whales at night! The location was convenient to Hilo and Volcanoes National Park. It was a treat to be here when the volcano started erupting. A bonus! Well apportioned and clean. Thank you!

This suite is only a few minutes from town and the host is very responsive. It is very clean, well decorated, has comfortable furniture, and high ceilings. The free parking is right at your door! If needed, you have access to an excellent A/C system. It is a great value!

Wonderful place, I've stayed here more than once. Extremely clean, bright, and peaceful, in the back of a very quiet and safe neighborhood. Walking distance to the beach! Highly recommended.

Incredible place and prime locations. Just walk across the street and you're at the beach. Walk a little to the left and you're at another beach with a huge wading pool. Kids loved snorkeling there. And, although I didn't know at the time of booking, the side and backyard is huge with lush tropical plants. Felt like we were in Costa Rica! As previous guests mentioned, the upstairs is apart from downstairs, with a separate side entrance (they are not connected). But there are no visible neighbors due to all the trees, so I don't know why other reviewers mentioned neighbors being loud. Such is not the case at all; but the beach across the street is public, so it gets crowded during the day. Felt completely safe the whole time.
