The cottage was beautiful and peaceful. So close to cafes, restaurants, Woolworths and clothing shops. Conveniently located! Enjoyed the trees outside which housed birds that was lovely to wake up to. Di and Floyd were wonderful hosts and made sure we were comfortable. Loved Floyd’s homemade chilli! Every room was cosy and was so happy that they had nightlights that turns on and off automatically. Very useful for our 4 year old son when he needed to use the bathroom at night. Hubby thoroughly enjoyed having a sauna around the corner and a spa (although we didn’t get to use the spa as we were quite busy). Toddler enjoyed being able to play and run around the property which gave him the same freedom as back home. Would definitely recommend and come back to the cottage! Hopefully, we use the spa next time.

Beautiful cottage, not what we expected from the word “cottage” as it was so spacious inside. Loved being surrounded by nature.

Kara has created something very special at The Island House. As you climb the stairs and get your first glance into the heart of this home and then the ocean beyond you will be filled with warmth and peace. We had such a wonderful weekend at Kara’s, every room of this home is filled with treasures that have been collected and placed with care and love. The view of the ocean, the kitchen, the artwork throughout the home and North Stradbroke Island itself are all truly beautiful. Spoil yourself with some time away at The Island House - we can’t wait to go back.

The cottage is spotlessly clean, well maintained and welcoming, with decor that would look quite at home in a Country Style magazine. This is 5 star accommodation. Equipped with everything you could possibly need or want, nothing is skimped on. With luxurious towels, bed linen, and toiletries, we felt pampered and valued. If you’re looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful bushland setting with every thoughtful little touch you can think of, you could do no better. Very highly recommended. Thanks Milly.

Jo greeted us on arrival and gave us a walk-through of the cottage. As soon as we entered, it felt like "home". It was spotless and felt like a real beach cottage. She left some bread, milk and butter in the fridge, which was really kind and thoughtful. The location was perfect. We stayed with our two kids and it was such a close walk to the beach. We enjoyed Sutton's Beach, Settlement Cove Lagoon, many walks along Margate Beach and drove further afield to Bribie Island and the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. But we could have easily stayed there and relaxed too! Jo and Mandy were very friendly hosts. Great to be able to use the washing machine and Netflix for the kids! Thanks for looking after us. We loved it!

We rented the apartment for just over a month, and it met all our needs. In fact, we were very comfortable. It is located close to the local amenities, the marina and the train station, and so is very convenient to meet a variety of needs. Adam was very friendly and willing to help.

A great place to stay, accommodation was lovely. Owners were very friendly and easy to communicate with.

Loved our stay at Magic’s Cottage, such a beautiful special place. House spotless and well equipped with stunning deck looking out over forested gully. Really appreciated being able to bring our 2 small indoor dogs. Hosts very welcoming and responsive, Tim met us on arrival and showed us how everything works. Hope to stay again when next return to Tamborine Mountain - thanks Tim and Emma!

We had a wonderful time despite the grey clouds and stormy weather; it's a beautiful spot to watch the surf and just chill. Kitchen fully equipped and shops and cafes are moments away. Though neighboring homes are nestled right up to you there was no noticeable noise during out stay. The garage came in handy with the rainy weather. All in all a great stay. Donald
