What a beautiful cabin close to the Shawnee National forest and numerous other states parks and wilderness areas. We had everything we needed and more. The beds are super comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with appliances and utensils, and the hot tub clean and spacious and oh so relaxing. The outdoor space is pristine, comfortable, and a great place to gather. We'll worth the trip!

Overall great experience, beautiful well kept cabin, plenty of things to do, hosts were great about being responsive & accommodating, the cabin was stocked with small items we forgot. it was a perfect getaway retreat, peaceful area with amazing views. We will be back!

Great A-frame tiny house on secluded property. Wonderful views and very peaceful, quiet surroundings. Many, many options for hiking trails and wineries within a 10-20 min drive. Very easy to find the property and check-in instructions were very clear/sent ahead of time.

We enjoyed exploring the many beautiful parks in the region, relaxing on the huge deck, playing pool in the game room, cooking together in the large kitchen, kayaking, frisbee golf practice, and hiking the property. We had a great stay with no issues and made family memories at this beautiful house. The house is set up well for visitors (e.g., light switches labeled) and has all the amenities one would expect when booking an Air BnB. Thanks for hosting, Mark!

This place was perfect for a little weekend getaway with my husband. The back deck makes you feel very secluded, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the shower was very nice and of course the hot tub was a nice touch-the stars were beautiful. Great location to hikes and wine trails.

You know a place is great when you book it again before you've even left the property. Jess's home is perfect for a large group, and you can tell there has been a lot of thought put into making sure everyone's needs are met. My friends and I stayed here looking for a weekend to recharge in nature and spend some quality time together, and this was the perfect place to do so. The lodge is very spacious, so folks have plenty of room to spread out, but the space is set up to accommodate everyone hanging out in one space, as well. We loved making big breakfast and dinner meals together in the kitchen, where there was plenty of counter space and all the needed supplies. We had so much fun getting to soak in the hot tub and take in the beautiful views, and you are able to walk to hiking trails from the property itself. I also can't say enough great things about Jess as a host. She was very responsive and so friendly. We felt right at home immediately. We already can't wait to go back!

This was my first airb&b and I absolutely loved it!! It was perfect for a getaway weekend for my husband’s birthday and we had a blast! Everything was clean, and very cute. The hot tub was perfect on a rainy weekend!! It rained the whole stay but we had a break in the storm and decided to jump in for a minute. We will definitely be back!!!

Stayed to visit our daughter at SIU. It is close to campus, about 10 minutes away. Loved being next to the barn and seeing the animals throughout the day. The house was clean and roomy for the two of us. Loved the screened in porch and deck which was used everyday. Would highly recommend!!

Jordan has a great place to sit back and relax. It has everything you need. We will be looking forward to our next stay here.

Quaint little cabin in a very quiet area, but close to Carbondale IL. Place was very clean, easy to find and exactly as described. Great place for price! Would definitely stay again.

My family and I love staying at Round Pond Lodging-Eagle's Nest. It is the perfect location for us and everything we need is provided. Patty is an awesome host, makes you feel welcome and at home and is very responsive and accommidating. She even messaged us to make sure we were ok because she noticed we hadn't checked in and were running late. We will definitely be back. Great cabin, location and Host!

We had a really good time & enjoyed our stay! We tried Driver Down, a local restaurant Brittan recommended and it was so good!! Brittan was very nice & helpful!! We will definitely have to come back this summer, and stay longer!! If you’re thinking about booking, DO IT!!!

Mercedes went above and beyond for us! Our stay was a short last minute trip and her quick response time was impressive! Very friendly and compassionate to help us get settled in quickly, so we could attend to what we came for. The place was very clean and the peaceful surroundings were the perfect atmosphere for us. Had a nice stay at Nikki's cabin with a family for a spring break. We all enjoyed the peaceful surroundings in the wooded area. So close to many lakes and trails! Nikki's place had everything we needed as well as fully equipped kitchen. A snack bar and a coffee was nice extras! We loved wooded detail and spacious south facing patio/porch. Nikki was a caring host and proactive communicator. Thank you for a great stay.

Great secluded area within 30 minute drive of what must be 25+ hikes. It’s rural, stock up before getting in. Very comfortable home sitting right on a stream that is amazing for reading books at night or drinking coffee in the AM. Serviceable kitchen/bathroom/bedrooms. Pet friendly is a plus. If you’re coming in the next month be prepped for bad roads, seems you have to take the gravel backroad into this place which is a tad rough to say the least, but manageable. Loved being on the farm around the animals and guard dog. Only was able to tackle about 10 hikes so will definitely be back!

This tiny cabin is such a gem! Great location close to beautiful hiking spots, quiet neighborhood, and super peaceful porch area right next to a little brook. Very cozy and relaxing and we so appreciated being able to have our dogs with us. Highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful, quaint little cabin in the lake of Egypt hills. Pictures don’t do it justice with the views that are out front. Cabin is perfect for a small group getaway to enjoy lake of Egypt and Shawnee national forest. The cabin is very cozy and has all the amenities that you would need. Nicole and her husband went above and beyond with their cabin and you won’t regret your stay!

One of my goals is to find paw paw trees and fruits. I was able to find those trees while hiking on national forest that borders the cabin. I went to explore other state parks to find more paw paw trees afterward. The cabin was great. I love the secluded location. It's definitely peaceful and quiet.
