A very nice stone cottage, very conveniently located on the Otago peninsula, optimal to explore the local beaches and spottinh sea lions as well as reachibg Dunedin with ashort drive. The house has all on requires, and needs. We really enjoyed staying in the Stone Cottage.

Thank you for a relaxing stay and for our delicious evening meal. We stayed in the Merino Room which was comfortable and quiet.

We stayed three nights with two infants, and with such a well-equipped family-friendly place (heatpump, full kitchen, washing machine/drier, spacious), we would have been quite comfortable staying longer. Beautiful area in the bush but so close to town. Loved the birdsong.

Wir haben uns gleich super wohl gefühlt. Kleine, aber feine Unterkunft. Wir haben gleich am Bootshaus geparkt und sind dann zu Fuß zum Appartement gelaufen. Für gehbehinderte Menschen könnte das etwas schwer sein. Das Appartement ist ruhig und hat eine sehr schöne Aussicht. Für die Erkundung der Otago-Halbinsel der perfekte Ort.

Chambre sympathique. À coté du jardin botanique à pied. Pas trop loin du centre ville. Très bien pour une nuit ou deux.

Elke’s cottage is perfect and can handle a a family or a couple of happy travelers. From the lovely gardens to the spectacular view of the bay, to the soft flannel sheets and warm comforter, to the well-thought out kitchen space, spacious shower and bathroom, we felt right at home and enjoyed every minute of our stay. To behold the beautiful sunrise with a cup of hot coffee, and end the day with a spectacularly beautiful sunset and a glass of wine, all whilst gently rocking on the lawn swing, was my idea of heaven. Elke’s place is close to the royal albatross bird center and the OPERA reserve, and she gave us recommendations for local cafes and restaurants. This is a very quiet and peaceful place, and lovely to wake up to bird song every morning. I look forward to returning to this piece of heaven someday!

Susie has created a quiet, private place in Dunedin. It is a great price and has amazing views. Steep street to park, steep walkway to access and slight smoke odour the only negatives. Thanks, Juli and Bill.

Such a beautiful, idyllic and peaceful spot. The space was a mixture of all of the modern amenities that you would need with the homely comforts and rustic charm of a coastal home. There are great walks for every physicality and Sandra & Dieter had lots of interesting stories of the property and the local history. We enjoyed the many books, and birdlife and were impressed by the little touches of robes, slippers and a lit woodburner on our arrival. Would definitely stay again.

A lovely clean spacious property. It’s a steep street, but perfectly navigable, and the bonus of that is the lovely view across the water and out to sea. A great place to sit and watch, and also to see the sky light up with the glow from the sunrise. Shame we only stayed two nights. Brendan was a perfect host.

This was a last minute stay after our accommodation let us down at the last minute. The hosts could not have been more helpful or responded more quickly. The space is smallish but well thought out and the bathroom is large. Great shower though takes a while to heat up. Great views and privacy yet an easy hop to town. No cooker or hob but there is a microwave - meant we had to rethink our meal plan haha! Loved all the scenery and activities on the peninsula. This is a fab place to stay for a few days.

I enjoyed my stay very much. The room is modern and the view is lovely. It is located already on the Otago Peninsular so easy to reach Larnach Castle and the Royal Albatros Sanctury. At the same time, the bus stop to go downtown is just 2 minutes away.

Olivias Unterkunft ist großartig! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Sie hat an alles gedacht. Es gibt sogar eine kleine Auswahl an Frühstückssnacks, Joghurt und Milch. Sogar eine kleine Kochplatte hat sie auf unser Nachfragen besorgt. Wirklich eine tolle Gastgeberin! Die Wohnung ist groß, super sauber und hell. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Christine and Jochen are the loveliest of hosts. Straight away we felt really welcome and that we were seeing friends again. We just wish we had had more time to chat! The space is pristine with the most beautiful garden lookout and such lovely colourful flowers right outside the window. The location is great for exploring both the Otago Peninsula and also the city. There are wonderful restaurants close by at St Clair that have amazing ocean views. If you are lucky enough to secure a booking at Christine & Jochen’s place you won’t be disappointed, we will definitely be back. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay; we loved it!
