Christine & Rebecca are amazing hosts. Our group experienced some freezing rain during our stay which caused power outage. They were very communicative and considerate with our issues, offering a partial refund. Not only did they communicate well, but even after checkout, they were willing to help support our case to get a refund with Airbnb fees. For the cottage itself, it checked all of our boxes: lakefront view; pool table; hot tub; a private area (there were some neighbours but pretty far away); and plenty of beds that almost everyone in the group had their own to sleep on. I think the pictures don't do justice. The rooms in cottage are larger than what the pictures make it out to be. The hot tub was nice and warm. I can only imagine how fun the place would be in the Spring and Summer with the kayaks. This cottage is cozy and has "summer camp" vibes; this is perfect if that's what your after. I highly recommend booking here!

My family and I had a wonderful winter stay at Watersedge Lakehouse. The cottage was beautiful, peaceful and comfortable. Our host made sure we had all we needed and was very helpful with instructions on staying at the cottage , checking in and local recommendations. The main living room was a perfect place to gather and have a warm fire while looking out at the water. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed the hot tub and the outdoor fire plus the deer wandering about. It was a great place for relaxing and making memories.

Eka was a great host. We made a last minute reservation and Eka was able to accommodate our needs. The place was very cozy yet spacious. The cedar sauna was the highlight of our stay. Everyone enjoyed it and wanted to come back. Thanks for everything Eka.

This beautiful cottage has room for the entire family to enjoy while still having enough rooms or outdoor spaces for family members to enjoy their own quiet time as well. The lake is beautiful and we look forward to going back in the summer!

My fiancee and I wanted a place where we could experience winter with our 14 month old son. This cottage was perfect. It's on a beautiful, quiet, large piece of property. There was so much snow on the ground but we were still able to enjoy ourselves! There was a massive snow storm coming so unfortunately we had to end our visit early. The inside of the cottage is set up beautifully and has everything you should need. Our son is just learning to walk and had a blast zooming around the main floor. Even though we had to leave early we still enjoyed our stay and would love to check it out again. Luke, Kelce, Grady

We checked in on sunday, left on tuesday. not a typical weekend but we enjoyed ourselves. the portage house is attached to the hosts house, which i didn’t realize when i booked. my fault lol, separate entrance and separate housing but their family is next door. roughly 100 meters to the sauna and hot tub area from the front door of the cottage, which is a lovely private area close to the lake. a definite highlight for our experience. the suite itself is really lovely, big comfy couch and more then enough tv for a cottage. Perfect kitchen for a getaway and they had all the essentials on site. ie sugar, salt olive oil. we came prepared but the hosts were more than accommodating. Big windows with decent views, and the grounds that suite is on is really nice! i’d spend a week in Port Carling if i could! thanks Kathy!

Al and Claudine were friendly, approachable, and professional right from the moment we arrived. I would highly recommend Commanda Lake Resort to anyone looking to get away from it all.

Paula made our stay amazing again! The fire was going and the place was toasty warm. We were lucky enough to be there while the goats were having their babies and Paula let all 5 kids stay out with her for hours. We all had an amazing peaceful weekend. Highly recommend!

I can't thank Tiffany and Pat enough for being amazing hosts and helping me through a difficult time. I stayed there on two separate occasions. The location of the house is right on the lake and sitting and watching the sun rise was beautiful. Narrows Convience Store is down the street and so is Mikisew Provinvial Park. The house has all the amenities (more than any other Airbnb I have stayed at). I would rats it more than 5 stars if I could. Thanks again so much!

A little slice of paradise! Ryan Bryan's place is a perfect place for a peaceful getaway. The space is modern with vintage esthetics, cozy, clean, and thoughtfully designed. It has all the amenities that made me feel like home. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, responsive and ensured everything was just right for our stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relax and unwind in nature. Can't wait to come back!

Fred’s house was great! The house’s open concept was large enough for all of us (6 adults) to hang out in through the cold winter days without feeling crowded. The fireplace added lovely ambience and warmth. The six bedrooms ensured we all had our own space, which was a nice treat for our girls’ weekend. The master bedroom with ensuite was particularly spacious. The whole house was nicely decorated, and overall was a cozy and welcoming place. We didn’t use the sunroom, as is unfortunately smelled of smoke. Fred was a very responsive host. He quickly answered any questions. We had a lovely stay here, and wouldn’t hesitate to fully recommend it.

Our stay at Darren & Nadene’s cottage was fantastic. Nadene's muffins were the best ever! The place was clean, cozy, and a short walk to Deer Lake. Highly recommended for a big group of families and friends!

We really enjoyed our visit. The house and property are both beautiful! The property was even nicer than we anticipated and we had a deer come to our front door and saw a blue heron out back as well. The house was very clean and in excellent condition. Beds were comfy and sheets/towels high quality. The kitchen was well stocked and had good quality frying pans etc. (something we don't always get in rentals). The host was excellent to deal with especially since there was uncertainty in the days leading up to the visit due to bad ice storms and closures in the area. Shireen was kind and always helpful. A small thing we appreciated was the proximity to the dump and the hours they had. We rent spaces in off season twice a year for a ladies weekend and normally have to take garbage home because the dumps are either closed or out of the way. This time we were able to dispose of the garbage before leaving. We want to come back and can highly recommend.

Best cabin-in-the-woods weekend ever! Perfect spot for hiking, kayaking, movie watching, and board games. Bill went above and beyond to make the trip go smoothly.

Stephen's place is just as described. Private cabin with everything you need to bbq and stay warm. The views were beautiful and the sauna was a great amenity. Would recommend staying here!

Always enjoy our stay at-rocky crest and this unit is ideal for a large group who need to spead out. Very responsive host. Look forward to coming back again.

Great stay with my family. Loved the winter activities both at the resort and in the area. The home was lovely, the dryer came in handy for drying snow-pants and mittens and the fireplace after outside time was great! The resort has many activities including skating, tubing and swimming/hot-tub that was fantastic. Enjoyed our stay and would enjoy returning!

The place is very cozy, clean, and easy to find. We enjoyed both the outdoor activities and chilling inside our cute cottage. Good memories to remember with your love ones.

Cabin #9 was amazing! Perfect size for 2 people! Amazing balcony with a table and chairs and a BBQ. So much to do close by! Paddleboats, Kayaks, Canoes, a pool and more! Larger yard area to play some sports. Host was very responsive and super friendly! I would definitely come back again!

An amazing property with the most hospitable of hosts. The Cooperage House sits on a picture perfect lake surrounded by romantic ruins . It has all the amenities that you could ever want. Theater room, hottub, suana, firepit, firewood, tent outside, multiple grills, fully stocked kitchen. Bedrooms are tastefully decorated. Kitchen is luxurious. Large deck for entertaining. Large property for keeping children busy. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Definitely will be booking again. Very relaxing!

On our way to the Cabin when Jade (manager) sent us a message that they have upgraded our room. Cabin is just perfect for our small family. Neat and just right. Rooms are very cozy and beds are comfy. Our kids enjoyed the never ending activities they offer in the resort. Overall we had a blast!
