A great place! Beautiful garden and patio with citrus trees and birds. The house was perfectly stocked with everything in the perfect place. From band-aids to sunburn aloe vera to beach everything to snorkel gear, it is right where you look first. Minutes from fantastic snorkeling and beginner friendly surfing, the house is in a great location. Stuart is a great host, providing local info and very responsive to questions and requests.

Nico and Sarah’s place was great! You’re steps away from a small beach and the view from the balcony is amazing. Hearing the ocean views at night was really relaxing. The AC was powerful and kept it nice and cool inside. Very clean as well. The hosts were very accommodating with early check in and later check out for our 2 year old.

Aloha Gary! We stayed in your place next door a few years ago and had the time of our lives! When I spoke with you then, it turns out you knew my old Geology of the Hawaiian Islands professor, Dr. Carl Johnson. You mentioned our textbook was by your old professor--we still reference that text from time to time in our work as civil engineers on Hilo side. Jessica is just as full of aloha as we remember, and she even brought us an ono loaf of banana bread. We can't thank you enough for letting us bring our rescue kitty! She's only about 5 weeks old now, but our vet says she's in good health and even though she still drinks formula out of a baby bottle, she uses the litter box. I loved this place. Stayed here a week with my mom. The balcony is large and the view is amazing. Despite there being a pool from the apartment next door, noise was never an issue. It was a five minute drive to the downtown. The pool area was relaxing. Jason was very responsive and kind. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The setting of this house is spectacular, right in Kealakekua Bay. You can see the Captain Cook monument in the distance (we kayaked there from the property). The host provides literally everything that you could possibly need to explore the bay: kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel equipment, etc., and you can do all of this right from their own (rocky) shoreline. The house was well appointed with everything that we needed for the stay. We were glad that we had the cottage so we were separated from the other rentals. It felt private. If you stay in the summer it does get HOT in the house during the day, even with the use of their provided fans, but it cools off enough at night to get a restful sleep. Also, there is a rooster nearby, which didn't bother us East Coast early risers. It's a long drive from the main route down to this property. We recommend stopping at the local honey farm that you pass on the drive down. You'll see their products sold all over the Island.

The Aloha House is spectacular in every way. From the beautiful and peaceful garden to the wonderful wraparound deck, accessible from the bedrooms, and overall comfortable accommodations. It is steps away from Manini Beach which is a total paradise - you can put a kayak in Kealakakua Bay just feet away, walk two minutes and swim in the bay or watch dolphins from the beach. Beth is a wonderful host. Can’t wait to go back!

The only sounds at night aside from the constant roar of the surf, is intermittent coqui calls. beautiful view and nice location, AC worked great and provided for great nights sleep. would definitely stay again.

This condo was a perfect home away from home for our family of four! The lanai (balcony) has beautiful views of the ocean and the condo is walking distance from a phenomenal beach for snorkeling, swimming, spear fishing, and even turtle watching! Driving distance to many awesome places. The condo itself is equipped with the essentials for cooking just about anything which makes it great for anyone looking to avoid needing to eat out a lot. Will hopefully be returning some day! Thank you!

The attention to detail in this updated condo is apparent. It is appointed with guests in mind--USB charging stations, water play equipment, well stocked kitchen, cooler, containers and ice for picnics... The waterfront location was great even though this isn't an ocean-facing unit, it is in a location that other occupants aren't walking by the front door, which is nice. Although we didn't use the pool, it was a nice little feature and appeared very well-maintained. We used the AC both for cooling the bedroom and to blur the traffic noise from the busy street below. It did the trick for both!

Russ’s beautiful penthouse is amazing to say the least. You are literally right on the water and it certainly exceeded our expectations. The car was fantastic and very nice. It is a very clean ride and in top condition. The beds were some of the most comfortable we’ve all slept in. The AC was awesome. Honestly, everything was perfect. Russ laid out detailed and well organized instructions, we had no questions or problems accessing the unit. I’m a light sleeper and it was a very quiet stay, just the sounds of the waves. The pool and hot tub downstairs (elevator worked great and easy to access) were fun and relaxing to use. Nice tenants and guests around and easy access to many beaches and restaurants nearby. In addition, we experienced a last minute very unexpected tragedy~Russ went above and beyond and was compassionate and helpful which completely made the difference for us during this time. 🙏 We would rent this place again hands down. We had an absolutely fabulous time in Kona, and Zhe & Sijie’s place was a huge part of it. It made for an amazing home away from home for our two-week stay. The home was exactly as described and as it appeared in the photos - if anything, it was even more perfect in person. Plenty of living space, the kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast and lunch at the house each day, and the three bedrooms and bathrooms were a perfect fit for my husband and me, our son and my dad. The elevated deck was perfect for reading in the sun or watching the sunset and then watching the stars come out. The pool is small, but a nice place to relax between activities or at the end of a busy day. The house is also in a very nice neighborhood, very secure and close to a grocery store and quite a few restaurants. Zhe and Sijie were fantastic hosts, super quick to reply to any questions we had, and proactively communicating info about check in and check out. 10/10, highly recommend!!

The Salty Seahorse is the best place to stay on Kona! Kerry and Justin thought of absolutely everything and anything you might need :) The bed was super comfortable and kitchen is very nice and modern! Also the sunsets on the black rocks are absolutely gorgeous and just less than 20 steps from the condo. Would definitely stay again!

We travel to swim competitions quite a bit and Pat and Susan’s rental is by far the best we have stayed in. It was exactly as described. Since we have an athlete we cook healthy meals and the kitchen was a dream. The storage closet was also amazing. Everything you would need for adventure. Golf clubs, snorkeling gear, kids sand buckets, coolers for the beach etc. The condo was also extremely clean. The location was great also. Away from the busy touristy downtown. This house was in a beautiful setting with gorgeous grounds. it was very well maintained and comfortable. The house has lots of basics in the pantry and condiments. We loved watching sunset from the lanai through the trees or walking 50 ft to the Pier for a Bayside view (with dolphins often making an appearance). Excellent snorkeling at nearby Manini Beach Park (some of us jumped in at the Pier, too) and by kayak at the Cook Monument across the Bay, or at 2-Step, a 5 minute drive down the road. The AC was good but not usually necessary with great ventilation and fans. The bugs are definitely hoping for snacks, so vigilance to keep a tidy house is crucial (but this is to be expected and wasn't a problem). Dawn was very responsive to a few small problems, and when we couldn't get the dryer to work she had a neighbor offer his so we could finish in time to check out (the dryer was a smart dryer and it out smarted us). We really appreciated how Dawn responded so quickly and helpfully!

The place was fantastic! We enjoyed staying there and hope to come back again. It had everything we needed and more. The kitchen and community grills made it easy to prepare meals. The bedrooms and living area was comfortable and we loved sitting outside watching the surfers and sunset. Highly recommend!

We had another lovely stay at this delightful Kona condo. The accommodations were wonderful, with everything we needed and more. The view was beautiful, and we loved spending time on the lanai taking it all in. The hot tub was the perfect spot to unwind, and we even enjoyed working on a puzzle together while listening to the soothing sounds of the waves. We'll return for a relaxing and comfortable getaway!

We absolutely loved our stay at Gail’s condo. The co do matched the photos and the location was fabulous. We absolutely loved the saltwater pool and listening to people blow the conch shells. Thank you so much for sharing your condo with us. We have made memories to last a lifetime.

We felt really comfortable here and really enjoyed our stay. The location is amazing. Beach towels, umbrella, chairs, a cooler, and snorkeling gear are provided which we really appreciated. Everything was super clean, new, and absolutely beautiful. Great shower and mirrors in the bathroom! They have everything you need to cook a fabulous meal and also provide great coffee beans, and tea with local honey. We loved listening to and watching the ocean.

We had a wonderful stay at Stephanie’s and absolutely love Kona Bali Kai! In fact, we booked a return trip to this unit before leaving the review as we’re in the airport, sad to leave. It’s our favorite place on the island!
