I stayed here for a fortnight, and my experience was fantastic—homely and peaceful. Mr. Anand and his family took exceptional care of us, providing useful information and assistance whenever needed, always just a call away. The new and clean utensils with all necessary kitchenette were provided and is worth the mention. The safety and security at this property are excellent, making it highly recommended for solo travelers. Mr. Stephen, the co-host, was also very supportive , helpful and friendly. In short, we had a blissful stay surrounded by beautiful nature—a true home away from home !!

One beautiful place to stay at! Peaceful and vibrant surroundings with easy access to almost everything. Great vibe and very helpful and humble staff and the host. Highly recommended! Shall visit again for sure.

We had a very pleasant stay for a night on March 21st 2025. The place is located 7kms before Uttarkashi in Matli Village. The house is approximately 60mtrs downhill offroad from the main road. It's very neat, clean, private and well maintained as it's a newly opened space adjacent to the owners house. It's amidst beautiful greenery all around,river bhagirathi flowing at a distance but clearly visible. The rooms are cozy and warm as ample sunlights gets in through both the rooms. It gives a feeling of actually living with the locals but in a private space. They have their own farming around the property and a pair of cows, so the tea that you will have will be made from the cowmilk in-house. Will surely make a visit here again. Aunty is a great lady there and our added bonanza was Kanha ji who was on a vacation after his exams. The young boy went to great heights to make us feel home, may God bless him with good health.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kuflon Basics! It's only a half hour drive from Uttarkashi (+ an easy 15 minute walk up from the road) but a world away. The exposed brick cottages are aesthetically built to merge in with the surroundings, and we were surprised to find rather luxurious rooms with a really comfy bed and electric blankets to stay warm on chilly nights! Our favorite part is the common lounge area (the hub), where we had some lovely conversations over afternoon tea and late evening appetizers, while enjoying the peace and quiet of our surroundings - a rarity these days! The view of the snow capped Derwa Range is breathtaking and the stargazing rock is perfect for reading and well, stargazing. A short walk up leads to the natural pools made by the Asi Ganga - a sight to behold. If you're looking to disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature, this is the place (perfect for social distancing too). Highly recommended!

Jai was very supportive, got back right away on text messages and calls. the place looks like taken from a scene from the Marigold Hotel, rooftop location, lovely views. only the shower in the room itself is rather small, solution: they made another shower in another room available. smooth, charming experience.

Arvina home stay, hosted by Arvina stands out firstly for its host, Arvina. Without her, this place wouldn't be what it is. She is a gracious host with great local recommendations, a delightful cook and a good conversationalist. The place is really clean and well set up. It's walkable from the Chakrata market and therefore close to most everything. Getting luggage up is a little hard with the Chakrata streets and the steps. That would be my only concern. otherwise the place is amazing. I wouldn't mind visiting again.
