Everything went smoothly and the flat was clean, spacious, and quiet. The amenities, like washer and dryer, were wonderful. While the location was slightly off the common "tourist path," we actually appreciated that and it was an easy bus ride or Uber back to the flat each night. We also enjoyed the local pub and the food choices nearby. My only issue was the lack of communication about the 3 flights of stairs/no lift. This fact is mentioned in other reviews (as I see now), but not in the description of the property nor in the initial instructions for accessing the flat. The stairs themselves are not Ben's fault and as I learned on my 14-day journey through Ireland and the UK, accessibility is not a priority in these old cities. That's fine. But the lesson for me I guess is to read reviews a little more closely, as that's the only place the stairs are mentioned. I have bad knees so trekking up the stairs each night after a long day was, quite simply, torture. But still a great stay.

Really enjoyed our stay in Yvonne’s property. The flat was pristine, very spacious and the guidebooks and treats really made the difference. My mother and I would definitely return should we need accommodation in Newcastle again - thank you!

What an excellent AirBnB - Rachel was a fabulous host, very communicative and the apartment had everything you could need. Would certainly recommend anyone visiting Edinburgh to book with Rachel in future, we will be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a great stay in Jays house. Everything at hand for anything that you need to make a great stay. We found the bed very comfortable gave us a great nights sleep. Location was excellent plenty of bars & cafes within minutes walk and we were in the heart of the city within 20 minutes. Very close to ULEZ so make sure you plan your journey and skirt around it I otherwise it’s a £60/30 fine.

This apartment is well placed within walking distance to many attractions. The apartment was spotless and the kitchen was well appointed. Giovanna and Angelo were very responsive. We would happily stay at the apartment again.

lovely little apartment, although it has no parking I found a little car park on spittle street (only a 6 minute walk way) once inside it was very modern and welcoming everything was clean and spotless and had a nice welcome pack which has good recommendations. if passing this way again I will 100% be returning and will definitely suggest it to friends who are thing of traveling to Edinburgh

Fantastic place, perfect location to explore Edinburgh with everything you need in your doorstep. Adam is a fantastic host, very accommodating and helpful, made it really easy to check in and enjoy our break. Would certainly recommend.

Excellent garden flat a few minutes from the many coffee shops/restaurants and buzz of Stockbridge. We were lucky with warm sunny weather and the main room is flooded with sunlight - and it was even warm enough to sit out at the huge table on the patio in the lovely garden with its blossoming magnolia tree. Nice bedroom with comfortable beds. The flat is stylishly decorated with a Japanese theme and has great bathroom/shower rooms. The flat is even nicer than the photos show, and is extremely quiet as it is set on a circular road that doesn't go anywhere. The owner Gordon is very friendly. The kitchen is small and there is not that much equipment, but sufficient for a simple meal and Edinburgh is full of loads of great restaurants to tempt you out. I would definitely stay again.

We loved loved loved this place! Hoping to come back soon. The house was perfect for my family (2 adults and 2 kids). The kids loved the enclosed garden, the toys and games around the place. I loved the utility room (I know 🤦‍♀️😂), the living room space, the en-suite and the kitchen/dining space. I also really loved the location, we walked to the beach and the park each day. The whole estate was quiet and friendly. Gary was proactive in giving great (free) ideas of what we could do when the weather changed. He was friendly and helpful without interrupting our holiday. I cannot put into words how much we loved the house. There were so many lovely touches round the house (like automatic lights on the stairs) which made the house exciting to the kids. We loved this property and would definitely book it again!

Lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. Mel checked in with us a few times and we had no issues during our stay. We visited Kielder Forest which is well worth a visit . Would highly recommend.

I stayed at this wonderful property for a few days right after getting married, kicking off my honeymoon while also showing my new in-laws some of the best parts of the UK. The entire family had a great time here—it’s clean, very spacious, and truly felt like home. We did run into a minor issue with a bathroom leak (a bit of bad luck on my part, I suppose), but the host was incredibly responsive and did everything they could to resolve it quickly. I really appreciate how it was handled and am grateful for the prompt attention. Overall, I highly recommend this lovely property. If I’m ever in Edinburgh again with family or friends, I’d definitely check if this place is available before considering other options in the Old Town area. A big thank you to the superhosts for your kindness, patience, and excellent communication in making sure everything went smoothly during our stay. 🙏🙏♥️

Ideal hub for myself and kids. Very comfortable, excellent kitchen and fast broadband. Would have preferred a better parking spot as I have a large car and needed to mount full kerb to access parking. I didn’t fancy parking on street as it was adjacent to small junction. Just something to note. Aside from that, very happy. Thank you very much

J avais hésité à m éloigner un peu de la vieille ville ! Je ne regrette pas du tout mon choix ! Le temps était avec nous et nous avons pu profiter du jardin et de la terrasse de Usman ! La maison est très agréable, au calme !!! 3 chambres spacieuses, 2 salle de bain , 3 toilettes ! Cuisine indépendante et salon ! Usman est très disponible et super réactif !!! Nous sommes arrivés tard ! Notre premier petit déjeuner nous attendait… La maison est à 2 minutes à pied d un petit supermarché et très bien desservie en bus !!! Il en passe toutes les 5 min pour la vieille ville et on y est entre 20 et 40 min selon les heures et les bus …

Jamie is an absolutely lovely host and the flat is beautiful and spotless. The bus stop right outside is very handy, also the Co Op just around the corner. Not the most salubrious area but nice and quiet. Would definitely stay there again, an ideal base for exploring Edinburgh.

The apartment was easy to find, it is not in the city centre but there are bus stops nearby. We needed to take a bus very early in the morning to the airport and it was easy. The apartment is comfortable and large enough for four people. It is well furnished to have meals in the house. We enjoyed the welcome pack in the fridge. The conservatory and the rear garden are lovely. Enjoy your stay there!

Amazing property In a perfect location, just a 10 minute walk from the city centre. The flat had everything we needed for a weekend get away. very well priced and worth every penny, the place is immaculate and the beds are heavenly. Samantha is an outstanding host, very kind and wonderful to talk to, we foolishly locked ourselves out of the apartment at 4am, Samantha instantly picked up the phone and helped us !

Fantastic dwelling, great location and excellent hosts. We will definitely look to return to Edinburgh in the future and seek this residence as well as highly recommending it to our friends and family. Our hosts Mark and Dayna were wonderful especially with their wonderful gesture of allowing us to stay an extra night, free of charge, due to The Hogmanay Festival being cancelled. Thank you again. Just spent a few days at John's place, this is a beautiful, modern 'home from home' apartment, very tastefully decorated with lots of skandi touches and spotlessly clean throughout. Upon arrival we immediately felt right at home, the apartment was lovely and warm with subtle fresh scents throughout, the welcome treats were such a nice touch too. Location is great set in a quiet residential area and just a 5 minute walk into Alnwick with it's great choice of pubs, bars and restaurants...we particularly loved Dirty Bottles, Mumbai Indian and Carlo's fish & chips. The Joiners Arms in High Newton is a great choice for lunch after a stroll along Embleton Bay. Despite the cold the weather was beautiful during our stay which allowed us to enjoy the beautiful beaches and surrounding areas. Would highly recommend John's place and would love to return. We had a wonderful stay in Edinburough. Gintare’s apartment is beautiful. I love the way the rooms were laid out in the apartment. A large entryway with a convenient place to hang your coats. The kitchen was spacious with a round table next to the window. It was fully equipped and found that it was so thoughtful of the host to have tea, coffee and sugar available for guests. On the right side of the entrance was the living room with plenty of seating. We felt like we all had space and were not on top of one another. The bedrooms were also spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The apartment is conveniently located and walkable to everything that we wanted to see. If you need a break from walking there is a tram a two minute walk from the apartment. What I loved best about the location however was the amazing sourdough bakery across the street, Twelve Triangles!!! We went there every morning and brought home lattes, fresh milk, pastries, sourdough bread and jam.

Michelle was wonderful. We had an overnight flight but were allowed to leave bags early and check in several hours earlier. Michelle was responsive and a great resource. Shower was a bit tricky to navigate, and could have used some extra towels but otherwise everything was as described. Had some trouble with the dryer our last day, but things break down so no big deal. We loved the location. Be prepared for City noise - some ear plugs took care of that! Would definitely recommend and stay again. Thanks for an awesome stay!

We had a great time here ! The apartment was beautifully furnished and in a fantastic location for walking to the Castle, shops and restaurants. We needed a mobility scooter and there were only a couple of steps which were easily negotiated. The lift to the apartment indide the building was invaluable. Communication was great and our arrival and exit seamless. Would highly recommend!

The apartment is in a good location with good transport link via bus and train for our stay in Edinburgh. Apartment was clean and well furnished. Sue was really helpful before our visit and responded quickly our questions. Would definitely recommend a stay here

So this is one of the few times that a place exceeded our expectations! The Airbnb listing isn't the most accurate - it states it's a studio apartment, free street parking, and the pictures are somewhat outdated. Luckily, the description told me there were 3 bedrooms. There's actually garage or resident parking, which was a big deal for us, and also the inside was fantastic! Very clean and comfortable, very spacious, lots of windows. The location was super quiet and peaceful, yet right in the city and very walkable! Can't recommend this listing enough!
