What an incredible place!! There was lots of really interesting information available about the location - the only national reserve where you can stay the night! The hut was very cosy, and the fireplace kept us very warm. It was quite easy to use the kitchen, just keep your meals simple. We were treated kindly and inclusively. I would recommend this to anyone!

We had a lovely stay on the farm. My boys absolutely loved the hut and said the beds were the comfiest beds ever! It was perfect for what we were after, a quiet family break. We arrived arrived in the dark so although the instructions were easy to follow we took a wrong turn but found our way. Torches definitely needed with darker nights. Communication was good, no one on site but at the end of the phone if anything needed. Only down side was that there was no EV Charger as mentioned in the listing but otherwise great.

Beautiful little shepherd's hut in a lovely area - a perfect countryside getaway for the weekend (or longer). Huts were clean and really well insulated - would stay cozy in all weathers. Kellie was the perfect host and really helpful - would highly recommend!

molly dishwasher is in an absolutely stunning location the pictures don't do justice to how stunning this place is your surrounded by the most beautiful views in the most peaceful location, me and my family had the most amazing 2 nights staying here and the little personal touches added on top just make it that much more special, moppy is an amazing host and let the boys help feed the animals on the last night which they absolutely loved, there is another hut on site but you cant see them so you have amazing privacy. I can see why lots of people who stay here are on there 7th visit as its a place you'll want to re visit after staying. we will defiantly be back soon, thank you for an amazing stay.

I would recommend skylark to anyone looking for some peace. I went alone. I felt completely safe. I knew the farm house was close by but I also had complete privacy so i was able to fully relax. Having the fire pit was wonderful. I used it every evening and sat under the stars. I loved having my own kitchen and bathroom. Moppy was always responsive. I needed more logs and they arrived promptly. She left plenty of food in the fridge. Eggs. Bacon. Sausages. Croissant. Muesli.Milk. Butter. Good coffee etc. I didn't want fro anything at all. Moppy even took me to the train station on my return. A lovely woman and a lovely family.Thanks, Moppy

I had a wonderful stay at Christina's place. The Shepards hut was super cozy and comfertable, i could even watch bunnys running over the field while looking out of the window. Christina was really friendly and caring, which made me feel at Home right away. I would love to stay there again!

I can not recommend enough!! My partner and I had an absolutely idyllic time here getting away from London for a long weekend with our dog. Hannah and Mark were lovely people, very helpful, and the pictures (though they are beautiful) do not do justice to the hut - it was absolutely peaceful and picturesque (we went in late July), with plenty of walks, a firepit, and all the amenities you could need. We had one of the best weekends away we've ever had, and we were very sad to leave at the end!! 10/10 experience all round - if you're reading this, go for it!!

Graham was a lovely host, the cabin was clean, comfortable and very well decorated. The stay couldn’t have been any better!

What a fantastic break away! Amazing hosts, (Leah &Jason) and a beautiful shepherds hut to stay in. The whole experience was so chilled. We loved the hot tub, the fire pit, listening to the wildlife surrounding us and just being away from it all. The bed was extremely comfortable, and there was everything we needed. lots to see and do in the surrounding areas. Thank you again.

Amazing place to stay. Beautiful views and shops only 10 minute drive. Lucy included a few freebies which was lovely and responded to any messages straight away. Lucy was an amazing host. Would 100% recommend a visit if looking for a lovely weekend away!

What an amazing stay! Kelly was a great host; she provided local tips and recommendations before our arrival and even arranged a 40th surprise in the hut for my partner, which was a lovely and thoughtful touch and much appreciated by both of us. The shepherds hut itself was modern, clean, cosy and exactly as described. The bed was super comfortable and we both slept extremely well. The main attraction for us was the hot tub, which we enjoyed well into the evening on both nights we were there; the views were spectacular. We were both able to fully unwind and relax. It was a perfect weekend and I would highly recommend!

We loved our stay at the Shepherds Hut. The space was amazing, clean and well equipped. We highly recommend this air bnb for a fabulous weekend away. The highlight was stargazing in the hot tub and waking up to lambs and sheep viable from our window. Thank you Andrew for the perfect stay 💞

We really enjoyed our stay at Willow's Rest. We came for two nights and were so pleased with the cleanliness of the place and the amenities offered. We enjoyed it all - the equipped kitchen and gas BBQ, the fluffy loaf of bread and the two fresh eggs left for us, the Bose Bluetooth speaker, the wood burner, the TV with Netflix and the welcome book with helpful local info. Hosted by a very lovely family and a friendly local duck in a peaceful, private location. Definitely worth the trip.

THE NEST is a gorgeous little hideaway, with absolutely everything you would need wrapped up in a beautiful and stylish bow. It has been lovingly decorated with a luxurious feel, with plenty of blankets and cushions, various options of seating inside and out, and games and plentiful art supplies for passing the evenings in front of the fire. Nicky is lovely; a truly beautiful soul. Accommodating doesn't nearly cover it - they took every consideration to make sure we had the best stay we could. We left feeling like we'd been away to stay with friends. The scenic surrounding area was perfectly still, and completely dark after sunset, with only the occasional inquiring pheasant to break the silence. We walked, foraged, picked mushrooms, played scrabble and thoroughly enjoyed our little peaceful retreat away from work, the traffic, and the command of electronic devices. I had such a great stay at the Hive, it's perfect for a countryside escape. The location is just perfect with views of fields and trees from every window! It was so quiet and peaceful and I loved sitting out on the balcony enjoying the sunshine and sitting by the firepit reading my book. I took my reactive dog with me and it was the most relaxed I've ever seen him in any place we have stayed! You can walk to Rye and Winchelsea stations through beautiful fields and the Plough pub (with a lovely beer garden) is just 5 minutes away. I had a few questions when I first arrived and Johnny came over quickly to answer them all in person and was really helpful. The only problem with my stay was that it was too short - I'll be booking longer next time! 100% recommend it!

This is a perfect escape if you fancy a couple of days in the country. Serene countryside and the added aspects of lambs in the field beyond was picture perfect, you felt like you really had a little safe haven. The hut itself has everything you need, the wood burning stove was really useful as it was a little chilly at night and gave great ambiance. The bed itself was incredibly comfy, my friend and I easily slept 9 hours a night in the hut! We took their recommendations in the welcome pack and went to a few of the restaurants and farm shops mentioned, all phenomenal! Especially the three chimneys for a roast dinner! Beautiful walks nearby, close enough to Rye and Camber Sands if you fancy a day at the coast. The compostable toilet was smart and effective, didn’t smell at all! Also, the cake and apple juice left for us was so tasty and a real treat! Already thinking about booking again - thank you Sian

A very enjoyable two nights with boyfriend and dog. Had a lovely meal at the white hart as well as a bbq on the fire pit. We explored the surroundings with a long muddy dog walk which is exactly why we booked this place. Beautiful secluded location.

Beautiful private Sheppard hut in vines! The private area has a nice cosy seating area, pizza oven, BBQ, hot tub, and extremely comfy bed. All you could want for on a relaxing weekend away. It’s a great location not far from some scenic walks and 15mins from Canterbury. Jillian was great host, suppling all the info we could possibly want well in advance as well as providing some great extras in the hut on arrival.

We had the most gorgeous stay at Wendy’s hut. It was even more beautiful than the pictures convey. Truly a magical, peaceful place to be mixed with all the amenities you could want to make it so relaxing to stay - endless hot water and a very powerful shower, all the cooking bits we needed, gorgeous cake on arrival, hot tub, plenty of wood (although we didn’t need it as it was warm enough!) Would thoroughly recommend. We didn’t want to leave

Quiet, relaxing stay. Lovely, artistic features. Sunny afternoon & evening - perfect for sitting out cooking over firepit & lying back stargazing, hearing local birds & sheep. It's April, so cold needing loo in night & on waking (took dryrobe & furry boots for quick assembly!), but packed layers, extra hot water bottles & blankets, & were super toasty by the firepit & when in bed (start fire and water-boiling asap). Recommend hot, scenic shower in morning to warm through whilst clothes warm in sun (shower instructions in manual). Comfy bed & all amenities needed for a fancy camping-style experience. Not as completely secluded or scenic as hoped, but it's by fields, a way back off Bentley Estate drive, with long grasses providing bit of screen, & you'd be a distant vision through trees when you're in shower, if someone driving down drive - but cars were infrequent. Be v different in bad weather - Go out or have indoor picnic. Clear, friendly msgs from Emma. Love to return for 2 nights.

A great little get away, peaceful rustic, facilities were clean. Lovely animals on the land adding to the feeling of escaping. Well catered for the stove and fire pit. A friendly host who allowed your privacy at all times too. Will definitely aim to book again for a little off grid escape! Waking up to bird song and the animals waking was wonderful, along with being able to light the little fire and stay snuggled up with the doors open and no worry for my privacy! No fridge that I could find ( may have missed it) so will just bring a cool box if coming in warmer months!

We had a lovely peaceful stay in the charming shepherd’s huts hosted by Geoffrey and Jane who were very helpful and friendly. There was even a welcome basket of treats and an anniversary card waiting to surprise us! The huts have everything you need and have been well stocked with kitchen essentials, picnic blankets and very helpful maps of the local area. The screened toilet in the bedroom necessitates a good degree of openness if you’re staying as a couple, but there’s a good size shower and plenty of hot water.
