Unfortunately our flight was delayed so we did not stay the night, however Sally has been the most amazing person and has helped us with travel plans and been exceptionally flexible and informative throughout our planning. We hope we will have chance to stay at the end of our trip.

If you want a more authentic experience to the Lamu Island, then this house gives you just that. It is located right in the Unesco heritage centre of Lamu not far from the Old Town. It has two rooftops that offer a view of the ocean and the surroundings at large. despite being in the heart of the town, It's quiet and private but still centrally located. The house offers a wide variety of books with some impressive history on Lamu and swahili culture. a few historical books on kenya as well as fiction. The house also provides playing cards , a nice touch. The staff is exceptional. In all of Lamu, we couldn't find food better than what we had made by Abu. The variety, the special touches and just the overall delivery and taste. we loved it. Safari is just awesome. whatever excursion we wanted to do, he provided someone and ensured we had a fantastic time. Johnsons sense of humor and work ethic added to amazing experience The house is removed from the hubub of the main street noises but still close enough to be considered comvenient to walk around with ease. we were sad our few days came to an end but we loved every moment spent inside the house and our overall stay in Lamu

Second time staying here, and will always stay here when in Lamu. Such a special place with the nicest staff and the most beautiful setting. A very special place hidden in Lamu Town. Thank you Safari, Abu & Johnson!

Nous avons été enchanté de notre séjour au matfam hôtel. La direction est à l'écoute, et personnel adorable et aux petits soins pour rendre notre séjour agréable. Les chambres sont simples et confortables avec une prestation hôtelière. La piscine, le bar, le restaurant tout est parfait et idéal pour passer quelques jours de détente au calme et au vert. Au top également pour l'organisation d'une journée au parc de Nakuru. Si vous passez par la...n'hésitez pas! C'est une adresse a retenir!
