The tens at Bluesky are great. Tense is probably too primitive a word to call them. Shelters would be better. I was there on a night that it went down to freezing. The fire pit was amazing! And they provide a heated pad for the mattress. With that heat, I slept like a baby. The reviews are correct. It sits behind a small in neighborhood. I did not think the dogs were overly loud. They certainly did not wake me up. The star is out there are just wonderful. Qui is a very special place if you’ve ever been. I would encourage everyone to go. Carrizo plane is also unique and beautiful in its way.

My friend and I booked an impromptu trip to Blue Sky for some stargazing. The host was excellent at communicating all the necessary details with us and very responsive with questions. We ended up arriving after the usual check-in hours which the host assured me was not a problem. It was easy to find our hut and I was immediately impressed by how clean everything was. The amenities, though minimal, were perfect. The market and restaurants were walkable distance. I deeply enjoyed sitting on my porch under the stars and even seeing stars through the window while laying in bed. There were plenty of fresh, clean blankets for the surprising drop in temp at night. The outdoor shower was a lovely experience; the bathrooms were super clean. We didn’t use the kitchen but appreciated use of the fridge to cool our drinking water. 10/10 would come back!

This was the perfect place to stay close to the beauty that surrounds the area. Also, very comfortable & relaxing. I was able to get plenty of rest. I was able to even cook some food & the kitchen was very nice. The shower & bathroom was great as well with nice hot water & good pressure coming out. I’m thankful for the very lovely stay. :)

5 stars across the board! Clear instructions, responsive host. The property is gorgeous, we appreciated the peace and quiet away from the city. Feeding the piggies, walking around the property taking in the sights & soaking some sun in the hammock were all highlights. Jen & Pete left a sweet card and little treats too! Very thoughtful. If you are looking to stay in or around Tehachapi, this is the place to stay! Ryan and Lindsay couldn’t have chosen a safer or more quiet downtown location. Every person we met was so friendly! Tehachapi is lovely and special! The Loft was the cleanest Air B&B I have ever rented. Lindsay went above and beyond with a welcome note, basket of snacks and coffee which was extremely nice after an almost 24 hour trip. I was needlessly concerned how the shared hot tub situation would work. We were able to use it several times and didn’t once meet our neighbors from The Flat in the backyard. There is plenty of privacy and opportunity to provide each unit tenant their independent use of the hot tub area. We found ourselves in need of nothing during our week long stay. We based our packing decisions heavily on the advertised in-unit washer/dryer and were relieved to find a stacked unit in the closet with detergent pods. As a bedding connoisseur, the bed, pillows, linens were as lovely as my own!

We had an amazing stay at the Yellow Union Pacific Caboose with our two kids, our 7-year-old son, a true train enthusiast, and our 3-month-old daughter. This one-of-a-kind place was the perfect family getaway. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed, especially with the thoughtful snack basket waiting for us! The caboose is beautifully restored and incredibly well-equipped, even with a newborn in tow. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the attention to detail in both the design and amenities made it feel like home. Our son was in heaven watching the trains wind through the canyon, and at night, the distant rumble and whistles of passing trains were like lullabies that gently rocked us all to sleep. Janine was a fantastic host, super responsive and clearly passionate about creating a special experience. If you're looking for a peaceful, unique, and family-friendly escape, this is the place. We can't wait to return!

The home is beautiful and just as described and on top of it the hosts were super flexible and kind to my urgent request and accommodated me without any issues. I respect that a lot and truly look forward to going back to this serene and beautiful home! (Really good for thinking, writing and for just a private time!)

Bryan’s ‘Monkey Flower Ranch’ is an incredible, beautiful, unique place to stay. The main cabin and tiny houses are so well built and cosy. The property they sit on is picturesque and the surrounding mountains and stream are breathtaking. I highly recommend staying there and experiencing all it has to offer. The stars are night are epic, showering in the semi outdoor shower is so lovely and sitting down by the stream is so relaxing and peaceful. Communicating with Bryan was also always easy and he was helpful at every turn. Thanks for everything mate! Joel

We had a great stay! Kenneth was friendly and helpful during check-in and throughout our stay. Everything was pretty much exactly as advertised. The bed was pretty comfortable and we stayed warm with the provided comforters during some pretty chilly nights, even though we turned the heater off overnight. The views are stunning and the area is private and peaceful, though still very close to town!

Can't say enough good things about this cute little cottage. Only stayed one night but we woke up saying we wish we could stay longer. Everything about this location was gorgeous from the views to the location and cottage its self. Host was wonderful and early check in was a wonderful bonus. Cottage was extremely private and we definitely felt we had our own little slice of heaven. Can't wait to plan a longer trip next time. Thank you again for the amazing hospitality.

What a beautiful ranch! When I arrived, the boys delivered me wood and treats for the llamas and alpacas. They were professional and informative. The animals were friendly, and would wait for me to come out. Even looked in the windows when I was taking too long :) I lit a fire and cooked dinner on the bbq to a gorgeous sunset. In the morning, the animals were waiting for me to wake up. They got more treats! I took a morning walk along the canyon trail, then went back and made breakfast. Such a nice relaxing time. What an amazing family farm! Thanks to Marlin and his family for hosting me!

Nice getaway less than two hours from LA. The camels and alpacas were shy but kind. The cabin was a great amount of space for just two people. Note that the drive up the mountain is a little steep and windy, but nothing too scary. Also note that there’s not much to do nearby - one night is plenty!

Sherry's place was exactly as described in the listing. it was cozy, peaceful and close to downtown. I enjoyed the outdoor patio and sipping a cup of coffee in the morning. The bed was comfortable and the snacks were very thoughtful. Thank you Sherry for being so thoughtful and accommodating. I would certainly stay here again on my next visit to Bakersfield.

It’s a great place to relax outside of the city with beautiful mountain views. We enjoyed feeding the llamas and Alpacas. The hosts are quick to respond and accommodating.

This cabin was exactly what we needed for a quiet weekend off the grid. While our cabin wasn’t directly on the ranch itself (it was down the hill), it ended up being the best scenario because we had so much more privacy. Definitely heed the advice of getting there before dark. The signs, while helpful are small and I can only imagine how difficult it would be to navigate in the dark. Also note, when exiting there is an exit sign posted upside down. That is intentional. I wasn’t sure if the sign had fallen that way so I went the wrong way initially. Go the way the arrow is pointing, pretend that the sign is right side up.
