We booked last minute after our previous plans fell through and are so glad we ended up here! The property was wonderful, it is tucked away, quiet, and spacious. The same goes for the cabin itself, very spacious and stocked with everything we needed. We were in town during a random cold snap but we still had plenty to do in the area and enjoyed our stay. We are already planning to come back during the summer and would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed at Robin’s place with our 3 kids before we went to the Texas Wildlife Park. We had a wonderful stay! The house is so peaceful and we spent all night enjoying the back patio overlooking the water. Robin made everything so easy with clear instructions and details. We will definitely be back!

The Hunter's Cabin is VERY unique. There are horses, turkeys and curly haired pigs roaming the property. There is also a pond with large catfish. The cabin was well built and furnished appropriately to match the name. This was my favorite of all the places I have stayed in over 15 years of traveling to Kerrville. It was like going back in time for me as I spent a large portion if my life living in Mississippi and working in and around animals. Sitting on the elevated back porch in the morning or evening was the perfect beginning and ending to my day!!

We had a great experience here. There was a little mixup with check-in, but Becky communicated efficiently and everything was resolved quickly. The space was amazing and a great place to spend some time on the river.

Renee’s place is absolutely the best place we have stayed in Kerrville. We go down several times a year from Minnesota and we have found the place we will stay every time in the future.

The pictures do not do this beautiful gem any justice. It is so much more gorgeous in person than we were expecting. We were in awe as we entered the home and made our way around deciding who was sleeping where. We had everything we needed and MORE. We spent the weekend here to explore a nearby bookstore and winery. There was enough space for 6 women to comfortably enjoy a girls weekend relaxing. We easily could have nearly doubled our group size and not felt crowded. And the riverfront view? It was the best way to wake up every morning. Make some coffee and head down to the stairs or floating dock to enjoy the wildlife waking up with the sun. We’ve already decided when we head back to this area, we’re staying at Robin’s place. Beautiful property in a gorgeous, quiet area. The fire pit made our evening so relaxing. The hosts communicated well and were pleasant. Would definitely recommend .

A great getaway near the river! We appreciated all the extras that were included i.e. kayaks, floats, life vests, towels that we needed to enjoy the water. Everything was nicely labeled to help find items within the home. Plenty of items to cook meals. Highly recommend!

Beautiful and peaceful. Wished we had more time to enjoy the wonderful property. We took the opportunity to lounge outside in the afternoon visiting with the ducks and watching the river. Melanie even accommodated us early which we appreciated. We were grateful for the Zazenberg Tavern restaurant recommendation, it was simply amazing and we could have walked there. Thank you Melanie.

Looking for a beautiful spot to unwind and enjoy the Texas Hill Country? You’ve found the perfect place! The Curious Fox Cabin is a cozy refuge from the world that is decorated beautifully inside and outside. I really enjoyed spending my mornings and evenings watching wild flowers blow in the wind and hummingbirds perch at the feeder right in front of me. Nancy had prepared ground coffee for my arrival, which was the perfect touch that made us feel right at home. I couldn’t recommend it more!

Such a great property, and our cabin was so comfortable, and had everything we needed. Living and kitchen area is spacious and open, very nice bathroom (awesome water pressure on the showerhead), and the bed was comfortable. Despite the outside temps having reached freezing during our stay, the bedroom kept nice and warm, the main area didn’t keep as warm though. The hot tub, perfect…and the view of the stars, amazing. We hadn’t seen this many stars at other parts of Texas that we have stayed at, and this was such a treat. We didn’t cook at the cabin, but the kitchen is spacious and comfortable for cooking for anyone who plans to. Overall, we couldn’t have picked a better property for the type of relaxing and outdoorsy getaway than Basecamp. We plan on coming back and checking out the other cabins and/or tents! Thank you all for sharing these gems! The property has an awesome lake for kayaking, a walking trail and other walking areas.

8:42 PM We reserved the cabin & checked in within 20 min of each other & they made it so easy & were more than accommodating. They even had kayaks we could use free of charge.

Great spot, cozy cabin, right by the river with great walking trails. Host was super responsive. Loved it!
