Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in diesem einzigartigen Airbnb! Die Lage ist perfekt für alle, die Ruhe und Natur genießen möchten. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns die exzellente Küche – jedes Gericht war ein echtes Highlight. Der Poolbereich lädt zum Entspannen ein, und währenddessen kann man die umliegende Tierwelt beobachten, was ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis ist. Das Haus ist offen gestaltet und liegt sehr abgeschieden, was für uns den Charme des Ortes ausgemacht hat. Allerdings könnte dies für manche Gäste ungewohnt sein. Wer aber die Kombination aus Erholung, Natur und exzellentem Essen sucht, ist hier genau richtig! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

We will forever remember our special stay at Maulie's place! We arrived late at night from our train ride from Colombo and Maulie picked us up from the train station and welcomed us with the most amazing dinner prepared under trees. We felt right at home! The food there is some of the best we had in Sri Lanka - especially the jack fruit curry! The birders cabin was the best as we felt like we were one with nature - the birds and insect sounds, the fire flies at night while you sleep under the mosquito nets. We also took the canoe onto the lake and it was the most magical serene experience! Maulie and her brother always made us feel so welcome and we would highly recommend this place for all nature lovers!

We had a really great time at the treehouse. It's a beautiful spot, surrounded by nature, with an unbeatable view of Lion's Rock. Falling asleep to a chorus of cicadas was very special, even with the odd peacock landing on the roof! Very clean, and well maintained, including the pool. Slightly strange smelling bathroom feels like a small price to pay for a hot shower in a tree! Balcony and the pool are both great spots to relax. Restaurant is fine, but don't expect anything too fancy. Host is more wonderful than heart emojis can express. We had a minor health crisis on the first day, and she and the staff could not have been more helpful. The manager also negotiated a good deal for local transfers, which we really appreciated.

We had an excellent stay with Anura and his lovely family. The room was minimalistic but clean. The air conditioning worked perfectly and was a real relief in the hot climate. What we especially loved was the delicious and varied food that Anura prepared for us! On top of that, he was incredibly helpful in every way. He organized a driver to pick us up from the airport and helped arrange several activities in the area. We can wholeheartedly recommend staying here to anyone!

We hadden hier een geweldige tijd. Ze waren zeer flexibel qua inchecken, wat wij als een voordeel zagen gezien wij op rondreis waren. We krijgen een warm welkom en voelden ons meteen thuis. Het huisje is geweldig en en proper (het rook er heel lekker). Het zwembad en de tuin werden dagelijks meermaals onderhouden, wat aangenaam is. De optie tot ontbijt en diner zijn ook een pluspunt. Eveneens kunnen zij instaan voor leuke activiteiten (zoals safari). Indien we vragen hadden of iets nodig hadden, kon dit vlot aangegeven worden via tekstbericht. Dit zorgde voor een vlotte communicatie. Maar ook in het echt konden we steeds bij het personeel terecht. We maakten eenmaal gebruik van een to go box (ontbijt) omdat wij een wandeling wouden doen om 05:00 uur. Dit werd voor ons de avond op voorhand klaargemaakt en was heel goed. Wij raden dit ten zeerste aan!

Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt, die Aussicht war traumhaft. In der Unterkunft kommt ab und zu Lassie vorbei und schaut nach dem Rechten, man fühlt sich jederzeit sicher und es sind immer die Hausmeister ansprechbar. insgesamt ist es ein tolles Anwesen mit fürsorglichen Gastgebern + Team! Das Dinner und Frühstück sind empfehlenswert und ich durfte sogar mit dem Kayak auf dem See fahren. Ich habe es sehr genossen und kann die Unterkunft allen empfehlen die die Natur lieben. Ein paar Ameisen & Geckos gehören mit dazu, das war aber kein Problem und hat nicht gestört. Danke für diesen malerischen Ort!

Our stay was extremely comfortable. The place is really one of a kind, piece of art. It is very clean, bed is comfortable and sheets are spotless. Room has AC, musquito net and unique outdoor bathrom. We ate breakfast and dinner there and the food was very tasteful, one of the best food we ate in Sri Lanka. Banda is a great host, he helped us arrange our activities in Sigirya and gave us helpful advices. We are very happy that we met Banda and his family, they all have the best heart and made our trip to Sigiriya better. We would definitely recommend this stay as it is worth every rupee and more! :)

It's difficult to find words to explain how amazing our experience in Chamila's place was. We haven't been received as guests, we felt more like a part of the family. Chamila is very hospitable, polite and humble and she, together with the whole family, including Snowy and Scooby, made us feel welcomed, we learned a lot about Sri Lanka, we ate amazing food (!) prepared by her mother and Elena even had a chance to try on one of Chamila's beautiful saris. Not to mention that she helped us to arrange all the trips in the area (and there's much to see - Dambulla is exactly in the middle of the "cultural triangle") and that we received parting gifts which will make us remember the visit when we're back home (we would anyway!). I've been staying in hundreds of places over the years and this is definitely on my personal top three list. If you're reading this, stop looking for different accommodation. You've just found what you wanted and you will never forget this place afterwards.

Unser Aufenthalt bei Hasham im Baumhaus war einfach toll! Das Baumhaus liegt abgelegen, mitten in der Natur – perfekt, um zur Ruhe zu kommen. Es gibt ganz in der Nähe einen Badeplatz am See. Hasham war ein unglaublich zuvorkommender und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Er hat sich immer vergewissert, dass es uns an nichts fehlt, und war jederzeit für Fragen da. Wenn ihr nach einem ruhigen Ort mitten in der Natur sucht, können wir einen Aufenthalt hier empfehlen!
